    First of all, I can't stand beer. Koelsch is barely tolerable, and then only one or two. I'd MUCH prefer a nice Riesling--much more refined!

    You'd never make a good German with such seditionist views.
    And all my youth passed by sad-hearted,
    the joy of Spring was never mine;
    Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
    and my heart dreams and longs to die.

    Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

    The Pfalz is Yankeeland and does not really count. If you at least lived in the northern part... but Heidelberg with all the G.I. negroids is just a few miles away.

    Well, he was strange: he was lazy and unindustrious (at least when I knew him), but he was stern and quiet, too! He had the worst of both worlds...He lived in Oberhausen.

    Oberhausen is Rheinland.

    I, on the other hand, am industrious, stern, complicated, pious, benevolent, educated and basically one of the good folks.

    HAHAHA! Sounds like you are an anal-retentive pain in the ____ with a good heart. I can relate to that characterization.
