Post Re: Your Best And Worst Subjects in School

My worst subjects were industrial arts, home economics (cooking, sewing etc), and art. Thankfully, I was only forced to take such classes in elementary school or junior high.

My best subjects are those that are strictly academic, which would include english (and other languages), math, the sciences, history, and social studies.

You must be my brother in spirit or something...

My best subjects were History, German, and related subjects like geography, society & politics.

In the foreign languages - English, Latin, French - I was fluctuating between medium and good - and for some periods bad: my first two years of Latin weren't glorious... bad start. However I became better then in later years.

Maths, physics and chemistry were my evil empire. It was an eternal struggle until to the final days. Luckywise I could manage to have only one year of chemistry (I took the language branch), but already that was already horrifying enough for me.

No Rassenkunde lessons in biology... :icon_sad: That would have been great!

I thought Germans were supposed to be good at subjects like math, chem, physics. Practically half of all the reknowned mathematicians,Chemists,Physiciasts have been German.

However I do not belong to them. But there's already compensation within the family. My brother is a sort of math genius...

Same here except it's my dad. Being an engineer his math skills are superb.

Post Re: AW: Your Best And Worst Subjects in School

when I was in school, I loved philosophy, literature, history and so on, and hated math, physics and chemistry.

I hated other classes too but it was due to the teachers not the subjects themselves that they taught.

When I "grew up" and went to college I was a Psychology major but i took a sudden interest in biology, physics, math, i.e. all the natural sciences that i had frowned upon during my pupil years
