I found this image on the apolitical Ancestry-by-DNA website. Interesting, don't you think? It would seem the genetic distance between Northern Europeans and Greeks is greater than that between Greeks and Anatolians. The racial gap between Hellenes en Turks is often exaggerated for political purposes.

Of course, from that shiny sun, I was squinting all the time, so I
suppose I was Turanid all summer.

    This actually saved my day!

Well theres only a strait seperating them (and that wasn't always there!) so there was no great barrier to migration in both ways.

Not that interesting considering the genetic background of especially Western Turkey is of the same stock with that of the Greeks. Indigenuous Anatolian peoples who mainly spoke Greek (thus Hellenes), predating the arrival of the Turks.

Yes, and I think the Turks are mainly Turanid, too. I was in France and Turks look different than Europeans, Orientals or Greeks. I also think that Mustafa Kemal looks Turanid.

The fact that some of us are logging in with two different accounts and are parroting the same thing still doesn't make Mustafa Kemal a Turanid. There are Turanids in Turkey, naturally, but they're not the majority element by any stretch of the imagination. Turkey is not an ethnically based nation state and is not ethnically homogenous as much as the nationalists would like to believe otherwise.

I think that he was of the Savic or Hercegowinian variety of Dinarid.

Either Berlin-Moabit or Munich-Stadelheim. Probably even in the same cell as you. It's just the question who of you two is Döktör Jüküll and who Müstür Hüd.
