    The Latest American Housing Crisis

The housing markets in the prosperous regions of America - Arizona, Texas, Florida, Colorado.... are way overheated. Houses are selling very quickly and over asking price. I thought it was from people leaving high tax states like California except the same thing is happening in California from what I've seen on the MLS. Turns out it is pension funds & hedge funds that are driving the real estate frenzy. They have a lot of cash & they are parking it in housing. Not in large apartment complexes (that would make sense for their investment portfolios) but in thousands of houses. A house on this block, a condo in that building. They are creating a huge bubble in the housing market that is going to make the Great Recession look like a minor event in comparison.

Housing has been much like the stock markets, big gains and losses. You have to know how to time the market. Much of the low interest rates are also driving up prices as people are probably up-scaling their homes, and many Boomers are down-scaling their ugly McMansions. It is time to relocate with all these political problems and increasing local taxes. We will sell soon and leave as there is a real shortage of homes in many larger ethnically growing cities. Property taxes are increasing as well, ugh! US government is also allowing in more immigrants from Asia by loads who probably buy their way in with a certain price.
