Biden claims ‘first job offer’ from Idaho lumber company, but it’s news to them

President Biden said at a wildfire-focused event in Idaho Monday that his “first job offer” came from the local lumber and wood-products business Boise Cascade, but the company says it has “no record” of that being true.

Biden, who is renowned for sharing memories that did not happen, said that he regularly mentioned the job offer to his Senate colleague from Idaho, the late Democratic Sen. Frank Church.

“I used to tell Frank Church this, I got a — my first job offer, where I wanted — my wife, deceased wife and I wanted to move to Idaho because we — not a joke — it’s such a beautiful, beautiful state. And I interviewed for a job at Boise Cascade,” Biden said.

He added: “And in the meantime there was a war going on. Anyway. But the whole point was that I used to always kid Frank.”

But Boise Cascade spokeswoman Lisa Tschampl told The Post, “We have no record of President Biden’s application or of him having worked for the company. “

Tschampl said that “we checked our system internally and nothing has turned up.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Post was unable to locate any prior record of Biden mentioning the company — including in news clippings archived by the Nexis and Factiva databases.

Biden’s 2007 memoir “Promises to Keep” does not mention the company or a desire to move to Idaho.

It’s unclear where the Idaho application would fit in the president’s Delaware-centric legal and political career.

Biden graduated from Syracuse University’s law school in 1968 and received a medical draft deferment from the ongoing Vietnam War due to a history of asthma. He then worked as a law clerk and public defender in Delaware before he joined the New Castle County Council in 1970.

His autobiography says Biden and his late wife, Neilia, whom he married in 1966 while in law school, moved to his home state of Delaware in 1968 shortly after he earned his law degree.

Biden wrote that during his final year in law school, “Neilia and I still hadn’t settled on where we were going to live, so I hadn’t accepted a job.” But his father in Wilmington, Del., set him up for a meeting with a local judge, who referred him to a lawyer, whose firm offered him work.

In 1972, Biden was elected to the US Senate. His first wife died in a car crash shortly after his Senate election victory.

Tschampl, the corporate spokeswoman, allowed that it’s possible Biden did seek employment with the company but that records were lost when the company dropped some of its past projects, such as concrete, plastics and textile divisions.

Biden has a record of inaccurate or embellished claims. He dropped out of his first presidential campaign in 1988 due to a scandal involving plagiarism of speeches and a law school paper and controversy about claims he made about his academic record.

But as the nation’s oldest-ever president, Biden’s mental acuity also is a frequent matter of public debate.

Biden this month falsely claimed that he remembered “spending time at” and “going to” the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh after the October 2018 mass murder of 11 people. After the synagogue said that he did not visit, the White House said he misspoke and was referring to a 2019 phone call with the congregation’s rabbi.

In one infamous misstatement, Biden in 2020 claimed he “had the great honor of being arrested” in South Africa when he was “trying to get to see [Nelson Mandela] on Robbens Island,” where Mandela was in prison until 1990. He said Mandela thanked him for it. Later, he admitted that it was untrue.

Netanyahu on Facebook Mocks Biden’s Alleged Nap During Talks With Israeli PM Naftali Bennet

Earlier, a video, showing US President Joe Biden appearing to fall asleep during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet, went viral on Twitter, although many later claimed that the footage was “misleading.”
Former Israeli prime minister and now leader of the opposition, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Sunday used a Facebook live session to mock a possible nap by US President Joe Biden during a meeting.

When asked whether he was aware of the meeting of the current Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett with Biden in Washington in August, Netanyahu responded affirmatively and nodded, in an apparent attempt to depict the American leader momentarily falling asleep at the meeting.

Biden Administration to Raise Refugee Admissions Cap to 125,000

President Biden is raising the refugee admissions cap to 125,000 for the government’s budget year beginning Oct. 1, the State Department confirmed Monday, in line with the goal he set during his 2020 campaign.

The move follows the blowback the president received earlier this year for backing away from his commitment to take in more refugees and, more recently, for the evacuation of U.S. allies from Afghanistan that turned chaotic and deadly in August after the capital fell to the Taliban.

“A robust refugee admissions program is critical to U.S. foreign policy interests and national security objectives, and is a reflection of core American values,” said State Department spokesman Ned Price.

During the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration evacuated tens of thousands of Afghan civilians—though only a fraction of them turned out to be applicants to the Special Immigrant Visa program designed for Afghans who worked alongside the U.S. military. A majority of those applicants were left behind.

So far, the U.S. has brought about 40,000 of those Afghan civilians to the U.S. As a result of the rapid nature of the evacuation, they weren’t formally classified as refugees. That has legal consequences for the Afghans: Unlike others who enter via the refugee admissions program, they don’t receive months of government benefits and don’t automatically qualify for a green card after a year.

The White House has asked Congress to change the law so the Afghans brought into the country on temporary humanitarian grounds can receive the same benefits as if they were legally refugees. That request has met some resistance among Republican lawmakers.

That technically also makes it appear as though the Biden administration has admitted the lowest number of refugees in the program’s 40-year history, with just 7,637 admitted over the past year from countries around the world.

Though the cap has been set to 125,000 for the coming fiscal year, the administration told Congress it foresees difficulty in reaching that number because of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic. The administration said it would initially fund refugee operations in the U.S. and abroad to take in about 65,000 refugees for the year and will re-evaluate and possibly increase those funding levels over time.

Kremlin giggles at Biden's remarks about LGBT from Chechnya to Cameroon

Biden tells UN General Assembly . . .

The remarks that US President Joe Biden made about the violation of the rights of sexual minorities in all countries of the world — from Chechnya to Cameroon — were incorrect from the point of view of political geography, Kremlin's official spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"This passage was a bit missed out by proofreaders,” Peskov said commenting on Biden's recent statement.

Earlier, speaking at the session of the UN General Assembly, US President Joe Biden called on the international community to protect the rights of the LGBT community.

"We all need to stand up for the rights of LGBT people so that they can live without fear and in love in Chechnya, Cameroon or any other part of the world,” he said.

There are no roosters in Chechnya

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, in response to Biden's words, noted that there are "no roosters” in Chechnya — only "hen's husbands.” The Russian word 'petukh' which translates as 'rooster' is Russian prison slang for inmates who have been sexually abused in jail. This word also refers to gay men.Ramzan Kadyrov invited the American president to personally visit the republic. According to the head of Chechnya, Biden is angry with all Muslim countries and is plowing the Arab world with air bombs.

He also called the United States the most problematic and most aggressive country in the world.

The Chechen authorities have been repeatedly accused of violating the rights of sexual minorities. In December 2018, at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, a report was unveiled, which, inter alia, raised the issue of torture of representatives of the LGBT community, who were supposedly kept in secret prisons and deprived of legal aid. In April 2017, The Novaya Gazeta publication published an investigative material on the topic. The authorities of Chechnya deny all charges and say that there are no sexual minorities in the region.

According to Human Rights Watch, in Cameroon, at least 24 members of the LGBT community had been arrested or faced threats in the Central African country since February. The report also said that two transgender women were arrested in Cameroon in February for wearing women's clothing, and a court charged them with attempted homosexual activities.

Americans know who’s to blame for the border crisis

    Operation Gaslight is collapsing.

A majority of Americans blame President Biden for the border crisis, a new poll shows, as the administration is caught lying about the makeshift refugee camp under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas.

About two-thirds of the 15,000 Haitians living in unsanitary conditions under the bridge have been moved out since Saturday, as local authorities try to regain *control.

Just over 5,000 migrants remained yesterday afternoon.

But the tough talk from the administration that they would be deported back to Haiti under a special Trump-era pandemic health order has turned out to be hot air.

Most of the migrants have been secretly released into the community, according to whistleblowers and reporters on the ground, and the administration is determined to hide the truth.

An AP report based on anonymous border sources says Haitians have been freed on a “very, very large scale” in recent days. They are given “notices to appear” at an immigration office within 60 days but if they don’t show up, we know they will simply melt into the shadows.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday 90,000 illegal migrants were deported in August. But officially 208,000 crossed the border last month. So that’s 57 percent who were not sent home but dispersed around the country. Pretty good odds for the chance of the golden ticket of living in America.

The real figures are likely to be much worse, with the Border Patrol estimating that there could be even more “got-aways,” migrants who evade detection to enter the country.

You can therefore conservatively double the official number of 1.5 million migrants entering illegally since Biden became president and put out the welcome mat. The taxpayer burden on health and education as well as jobs is incalculable.

Instead of fixing the problem or resigning, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas just lies.

He thunders on camera that the border is “not open . . . If you come to the United States illegally, you will be returned, your journey will not succeed.”

But that’s obviously not true — and no one knows that better than the thousands of illegal migrants who cross the border every day. They know this is an administration that does not say what it means and does not mean what it says.

Typical of the double-speak and obfuscation was Mayorkas’ farcical appearance before the Senate this week.

Questioned for two days straight, he refused to provide numbers for how many migrants have been secretly dispersed to communities around America.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) was suitably annoyed:

“I want numbers,” he told the secretary Tuesday, and accused him of previously providing “factually incorrect information” to the Senate.

Mayorkas was just as ill-prepared Wednesday when pressed for *numbers.

“I work 18 hours a day,” he whined to lawmakers.

The White House did not respond to detailed questions about the numbers of migrants released, where they are sent in America, and how many are tested for COVID-19.

That’s despite Psaki promising to provide the data by day’s end.

The uncontrolled immigration surge is a “national security threat,” according to an extraordinary letter to Senate leaders from US Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott last week.

“Contrary to the current rhetoric, this is not simply another immigration surge. This is a national security threat,” he wrote.

As if this weren’t bad enough, now Democrats are demonizing Border Patrol agents in Texas who cleverly managed to close the gap across the Rio Grande first by parking agency vehicles as a wall to stop migrants crossing, and then by riding horses into the water to turn people back — which is a standard crowd-control tactic.

But race-obsessed Democrats such as Rep. Maxine Waters of California accused the Border Patrol of being “cowboys with their reins [who] were whipping migrants.”

They were not whipping migrants, Brandon Judd of the border-agents union told Fox News, “They don’t carry whips.”

What observers who know nothing about horse riding failed to *understand is that they were looking at split reins, not whips.

But facts don’t matter when you are gaslighting the public.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) screeched about the “cruel, the inhumane and flat-out racist treatment” of Haitian migrants.

The Congressional Black Caucus marched into the White House to demand action over “those deplorable photos [of agents] riding horses using their reins to chase down Haitians like they were cattle and goats to be suspended, terminated,” said caucus chair Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio).

Vice President Kamala Harris piled on, slamming the Border *Patrol as “horrible.”

“Human beings should never be treated that way,” she said.

She really has cheek. It was her job to get the border under control and she has done nothing except run away from questions and pretend she is working on “root causes” for which she can never be held Accountable.

And where’s the president in all this? That Rasmussen Poll Wednesday showed that 54 percent of Americans believe the border crisis is being caused by the polices he put in place.

Biden created this dumpster fire and refuses to front up to reporters and answer to the American people for the humanitarian catastrophe he has set in motion.

Is it deliberate or just incompetence? The president’s benign neglect of the crisis suggests that he welcomes unchecked illegal migration.

Surely he is not so clueless he doesn’t know what is happening.

Without a border we have no country, and he seems to like it that way.
    Time for Wuhan hearings

It’s inexplicable that Congress has not demanded answers from the nonprofit that funneled taxpayer money to the Wuhan lab at the center of the COVID-19 pandemic.

New York-based EcoHealth Alliance, and its president, Dr. Peter Daszak, collaborated with scientists in Wuhan on dangerous “gain-of-function” research on bat coronaviruses with “humanized” mice in the years before the pandemic. British-born Daszak received tens of millions of dollars from the Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health, some of which he used to fund the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Daszak secretly orchestrated an influential and misleading February 2020 letter in The Lancet that rejected as a “conspiracy theory” suggestions that the virus leaked from the Wuhan lab.

The journal did a U-turn last week, publishing a letter from respected scientists asserting that there is more evidence of a lab leak than that the virus emerged spontaneously from nature:

“There is no direct support for the natural origin of SARS-CoV-2, and a laboratory-related accident is plausible.”

Two presidential administrations and Congress have been remarkably incurious about Daszak and EcoHealth. But the American people — regardless of political leanings — want them to testify about the research before Congress, according to a new poll.

Three-quarters of Republicans and Democrats want EcoHealth to be subpoenaed to testify Congress, says the Lincoln Park Strategies poll.

Why is EcoHealth immune from scrutiny?

It’s embarrassing that US media at the White House are treated worse than foreign media. It has become routine for the so-called wranglers to screech at and even physically push the press to stop them asking questions of the president after photo opportunities in the White House. Joe Biden seems to find the undignified melee amusing.

But this week there was a stark contrast between him and his visiting British counterpart Boris Johnson in their attitude to media freedom. The UK Prime Minister allowed British reporters to ask questions but Biden refused to answer, pointed at Johnson and said “No . . . ask him a question.” As soon as the Americans tried to quiz Biden, the wranglers brought out the whips. The next day, White House press secretary Jen Psaki blamed Johnson for ambushing the president. But that’s not the point. The world sees that Biden is AWOL when it comes to accountability.

There are anonymous reports revealing that Biden is suffering from far more debilitating dementia behind closed doors than America is aware of.

The rumored events are far more shocking than the sorry rambling excuse for a president that is openly being used by the CCP/ Chinese Communist Party to accelerate the downgrade and eventual extermination of the United States.

A friend of mine knows a Secret Service agent. He told me a story this past week which was relayed to him by the SS agent. Joe Biden and Jill were in Philadelphia earlier this year, and were inside the train station for an event. It was time for Joe to leave, however his meds had worn off and he had become very belligerent, angry, disoriented and confused. Jill was trying to settle him down and get him to leave, but Joe would not/could not do so. So the SS cleared the building and made everyone else leave, and then they sent in several agents and gently but physically removed Joe Biden from the building. True Story. Fact is that Joe Biden is completely gone. They pump him full of DRUGS to get him through the day. How much longer can they keep up this charade?

To me this description sounds like biden going onto stage 3 dementia. With the anger and belligerency, plus the loss of bodily functions; and the excessive use of drugs just to function.

Plus, the wondering around the white house in the wee hours of the morning. He has lost sight of time, place; and awareness of his surroundings. Classic signs of advancing dementia.
There will be a point, no drugs out of that bag will help him to function. His system will totally breakdown.
He will be in stage 4 of dementia, which death will be very near.
Unfortunately, in his mind he thinks he is doing what he should as president. But in reality, his planned out actions; are causing the destruction of America.
A part of me feels very sad for biden, as I saw a friend of mine go through all the stages years ago; then eventually died.
Even here, the ones causing all the SH*T around the world; have now used biden like a toy for their destructive purposes.
The only comfort I have is knowing one day you "will reap what you sow".
I SEE everything that you have done, and so does our creator.

I don't even think it's the original Joe Biden. As evil and stupid as Joe Biden was (Obama despised him), he probably balked at destroying his own country so they killed him before the campaign and replaced him with this dementia dude they dug out of some care home somewhere and slapped a mask on him. They then spent the entire campaign programming and coaching him to be just convincing enough to get into the White House and sign whatever they needed him to sign. Remember the 96 Executive Orders? The original Biden had detached earlobes; this guy has teacup earlobes. Joe 2.0.

Maybe on top of "F**k Joe Biden" they should be chanting "Joe Biden Shits his pants."

    Biden regime defaults . . .

Biden regime defaults; is given until October 18th before all hell breaks loose

    By
    Benjamin Fulford

The fake “Biden” regime in the US defaulted on September 30th and has been given until October 18th before the plug is finally pulled on that evil regime, Asian secret society sources promise. The funding was cut off because the Rockefeller/Rothschild etc. crime families behind the “Biden” regime failed to meet their promise to hand Australia over to the communist Chinese, the sources say.

That is the real reason why “The bad relations between China and Australia took an unbelievable turn this week when China fired a ‘Long March 3B’ nuclear-capable missile, directly over Sydney, Australia.”

    https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-china-fires-nuclear-capable-missile-directly-over-sydney-australia

The change in Australia is reflected by the fact Premier of Gladys Berejiklian resigned as New South Wales Premier “after an investigation found she & others in the govt. were receiving millions of $ from Pfizer to push draconian vax laws,” according to Australian intelligence sources.

    https://7news.com.au/politics/gladys-berejiklian/nsw-premier-gladys-berejiklian-resigns-amid-probe-by-anti-corruption-watchdog-c-4119200

The fact it refused to hand itself over to communist China is also why the EU has entered the fray by cutting off trade talks with Australia, the sources say.

In any case, the cut-off of Asian funding is what prompted the fake Biden to say “We’re gonna get this done,…It doesn’t matter when. It doesn’t matter whether it’s six minutes, six days or six weeks. We’re gonna get it done.”

By openly flouting the Satanic 666 number the criminals using rubber mask “Biden” as a front have fully come out of the closet.

Since these criminals have carried out horrendous acts of mass murder every time they faced default in the past, you can be sure this statement by Biden was meant to be taken as a threat.

This time, with little doubt, they plan to surpass 911, Fukushima and the fake pandemic of 2020. The obvious candidate this time is La Palma. The volcano there is erupting with increasing intensity and is doing so in a manner that is increasing the chances of a massive tsunami hitting the East coast of the US etc.

    https://www.veteranstoday.com/2021/10/01/warning-the-la-palma-eruption-what-it-means/

That is why joint military action by Russia, the Pentagon and China is necessary to finish these criminals off permanently. The underground base in Norway -where the HAARP attack on La Palma is originating- is a prime target. The Khazarian mafia headquarters around Lake Geneva is another.

In these circumstances, the White Dragon Society is calling for a meeting in Tokyo to ensure that white hats receive funding to take over the functioning parts of the US government after the Biden criminals are removed. This meeting has the support of the British Commonwealth, the Vatican (P3 freemasons), the Russians (FSB) and Asian secret societies. The meeting has been called for Tokyo instead of Lichtenstein as proposed by the “Biden” people on the recommendation of the P3 freemasons.

Also, to keep up the pressure on the Khazarian mafia, a White Dragon Society representative had a meeting last week with a Mr. K, one of the top assassins of the Japanese underworld. Mr. K is known for chopping people’s fingers off one knuckle at a time until he gets the information he needs. He then wraps the bodies in lead and dumps them into the ocean, according to colleagues. In any case, Mr. K said the Black Dragon Society faction he was affiliated with has decided to . . .

Biden buck$: Here's the extraordinary cost of inflation to the average US household

Over the past couple of months, Allison, a wife and mother of a toddler and teenager in Chicago, says she’s been spending about $50 more each week on groceries to feed her family — and that’s at a discount supermarket chain, Aldi’s.

“I used to spend $70 a week, but all of sudden this summer, I noticed that I couldn’t leave the store without spending at least $120,” said Allison, who works in education.

Like millions of Americans whose income has not kept pace with inflation — up 5.3 percent in August compared with a year ago — Allison and her family are feeling the pinch of the rising cost of living and giving up some things just to make ends meet.

Her family is scrimping now. “There are no more splurges like going to Home Depot to buy an extra plant or eating out,” Allison said.

Spurred by supply shortages and massive government spending, inflation has become an added tax on middle-class Americans coming out of the COVID lockdowns.

For households earning the US median annual income of about $70,000, the current inflation rate has forced them to spend another $175 a month on food, fuel and housing, according to Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics.

“That’s the equivalent of a full grocery, electric or cellphone bill,” Zandi said.

Although government officials have called the inflation “transitory,” it’s running at a 30-year high, and has been for months.

Unpredictable supply-chain issues, including a record number of more than 70 cargo ships waiting to dock at the Port of Los Angeles, have made it difficult to predict when prices will stabilize.

To make matters worse, a trucker shortage has exacerbated the situation and shows no signs of abating. Everything from wood to electronics is becoming scarcer and more expensive.

Many consumer experts do not see any immediate relief in sight — with some bracing for a surge in credit card debt. During the pandemic, many consumers had paid down debt because they were spending less while collecting larger unemployment checks.

But since April, credit card balances and delinquency rates have been ticking up after decelerating for most of the pandemic, according to Zandi. Delinquencies are 1.54 percent as of Sept. 21, compared with 1.30 percent on April 21.

“Price increases will continue until the middle of next year,” predicted Gordon Haskett analyst Chuck Grom, pointing to a PepsiCo announcement this week that consumers can expect another round of price hikes in early 2022 on the company’s snacks and beverages.

Indeed, a 10-ounce bag of Lay’s potato chips — Frito-Lay is owned by PepsiCo — cost $3.75 in August, 50 cents more than a year earlier at Dollar General stores in the Southwest, Grom said.

The prices of other items have also ratcheted up at the discount chain, including a dozen 12-ounce Coca-Cola cans that cost $5.75 in August — 50 cents more than in 2020 — at its Southwest stores, and a half a gallon of 2 percent store-brand milk that now costs $4.49, 74 cents more than a year earlier, according to Grom. At Family Dollar stores in the Northeast, the 12-pack of Coke cost $6.90 in August, up $1.50, and a can of Folger’s coffee costs 85 cents more, $8.80, he found.

In the Big Apple, grocery chains Gristedes and D’Agostino’s have increased prices by as much as 15 percent on chicken wings and beef, 10 percent on milk and 5 percent on eggs, while non-food-related items have gone up by about 10 percent, according to owner John Catsimatidis.

What’s more, some consumers are reporting that it has become more difficult to cover their usual expenses.

The number of US households that report that it is “very difficult” to pay their usual expenses has increased by 8 percent since early August, to 26.5 million, according to the Oct. 6 Census Bureau’s Household Pulse Survey.

Chuck Todd: ‘Shocking’ NBC Poll Shows 71% Believe U.S. Is on Wrong Track — ‘Scary News for the Democrats’

NBC anchor Chuck Todd debuted a new poll on Sunday’s broadcast of “Meet the Press” which showed 71% of Americans believe America is on the wrong track.

Todd said, “We have a brand new NBC news poll out this morning still with some scary news for the Democrats. The overarching message, Americans have lost their confidence in President Joe Biden and their optimism for the country. At least they have right now. Just 22% of adults say we are headed in the right direction. A shocking 71% say we’re on the wrong track and that includes a near majority of Democrats who are saying that.”

He continued, “President Biden’s approval rating stands at a dismal 42% versus 54% who disapprove. Believe it or not, just two months ago Mr. Biden was in positive territory, 49 approving. So what’s pulling down the president’s numbers? Look at this set of numbers, just 37% say he has the ability to handle a crisis versus a majority who say he does not. Thirty-seven percent also say he’s competent and effective as president. 50% disagree with that description. What’s more, Republicans, believe it or not, have double-digit leads in dealing with border security, inflation, crime, national security, the economy, and, shockingly, on getting things done. Democrats hold generally smaller double-digit leads on dealing with climate change, the coronavirus, education, and abortion. That’s really it right now.”

We have I think we have put together the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in American politics." -Joe Biden.

O'Biden is a fraud and millions of us don't accept his authority. We want President Trump, America First, Freedom, and Prosperity!

These policy / practices are CLEARLY IMPLEMENTED TO FACILITATE CHEATING.

And yet not only is the RNC allowing it with no pushback, they are actually pushing the Youngkin camp to accept it. Just what the hell is wrong with the RNC, and more importantly, what are we going to do to correct it?

    Obummer is behind this.

It most assuredly is JoeBama BinHidin, with help from his puppeteers. He said himself that he was going to be the most progressive President in American history. What he really is, is a repressive socialist. Yes, he is compromised with China, which is obvious to anyone paying attention. But he is also compromised mentally, and emotionally. The man is a pathological liar, on top of dementia issues, with pedophilic tendencies. And let’s not forget how corrupt he and his entire family are. We have a criminal fraud in the Oval Office doing his very best to break American laws, while giving comfort and aid to our enemies, and criminals as he rules by executive orders, and mandates, exactly what the lying POS said he wouldn’t do. Down We Go: Biden's Approval Ratings Hit New Low as 36% Approve of His Job, New Poll Reveals

During his first six months as president, Biden's approval rating was in the low to mid-50s. However, the president's popularity began to dip in August, following the widely panned handling of the tumultuous US exit from Afghanistan and a spike in COVID-19 cases this summer due to the spread of the highly infectious delta variant.

President Joe Biden's approval ratings are continuing to decline, a new Quinnipiac University national poll released on Thursday showed.
The president currently has a 36% approval rating and a 53% disapproval rating. In the polling, the president has the lowest level of public favor since taking office in January. In contrast to Quinnipiac's October poll, Biden's approval dropped a point while his disapproval rose a point.

Along party lines, Democrats gave the president approval by an 87%-7% margin and Republicans disapproved by a 94%-4% margin. Only 29% of independent voters approve of Biden's handling of his responsibilities as president, while 56% disapprove.

Interestingly, in a separate nationwide poll released on Thursday as well by Marquette University Law School, the president received 49% support and 51% disapproval. Biden's approval rating in the survey, which was conducted on November 1-10, was down nine points from the previous Marquette poll, which was done in July, according to the data.

According to the poll, Biden also has a 45% favorable and 49% negative national "favorability" rating. Biden has a difficult time with independents, the majority of whom are unfavorable to him (55%). He also has made limited inroads with Republicans, whose approval rating is mirrored to his Democratic approval rate (83%-13%).

In light of the disparity, the division and polarization of society surfaced as the most worrying problems for Americans (11%), followed by the economy (10%), border security (8%) and inflation (8%), an equal number of respondents (47% -47%) believe that Biden cares/does not care about ordinary citizens.

The poll results suggest a slim majority (52%-41%) believes Biden is dishonest, while a larger majority (57%-37%) believes the president lacks leadership skills.

The ongoing and increasing surge of migrants attempting to get into the country along the southern border with Mexico exacerbated the president's low approval ratings, the researchers suggested. Also, the surge in consumer prices this summer and autumn has added to people's dissatisfaction with the president's performance.

61% of those polled believe the economy is deteriorating, with seven out of ten saying rising food and gasoline prices have prompted them to alter their spending patterns.

The almost $1 trillion spending infrastructure bill to upgrade the nation's roads, bridges, broadband, and other infrastructure projects is supported by a majority of Americans, 57% to 37%. The almost $2 trillion spending measure on social programs including child care, education, family tax relief, and increasing Medicare for seniors is supported by a majority of voters as well, 58% to 38%.

"Is the Biden administration's signature legislation enough to start righting the ship? $3 trillion to fortify the country's infrastructure backbone and shore up the future of American families through social programs still gets hearty support from Americans. But from the character issues to the broad swath of national and international concerns, that ship continues to take on water," Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy is quoted in the press release as saying.

Voters See Parties as Unresponsive, Want GOP to Lead Congress

The poll also touched on the position of the main parties in US political life. 54% of those polled believe the Democratic Party is unconcerned about the interests and concerns of individuals like them. However, a slightly higher 56% expressed the same dissatisfaction with the Republican Party.

A slim majority said the Democratic Party had moved too far to the left, and Democrats in Congress received a 31%-59% approval and disapproval rating. Republicans in Congress, on the other hand, fared even worse, with a negative 25%-62% job approval rating.

Nevertheless, those polled said they would like to see the Republican Party win control of the House next year by a 46% to 28% margin if the midterm elections were held today, with 16% saying they had no opinion.
Those polled stated they want the GOP to win the Senate majority by a 46%-40% margin, with 15% saying they do not care.

Noticeably, in the Quinnipiac survey conducted November 11-15, the president scored his lowest marks to date on four important issues on his agenda.

On tackling the pandemic, Biden received 45% approval and 50% disapproval; 41%-48% on climate change; 34%-59% on dealing with the economy; and 33%-55% on handling international affairs.

In next year's midterm elections, Democrats will be defending their House and Senate majority, with the entire 435-member House and one-third of the 100-member Senate up for election.
