    Uhm, I watched it and it was better than expected, quite Germanic-friendly. Varus was a good choice, a very Roman-looking guy. There were some compromises and ficitional decisions but that was expected. No surprise!

    A second season has been confirmed.

    I agree about the casting choice for Varus, although the real Varus as depicted on surviving coins may have been somewhat more corpulent. Just entertainment in the end. I look forward to the second season.
