    Sherlock Holmes Fans?

I'm a big fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original Canon of Sherlock Holmes stories, among my all-time favorite literature.
As far as television/film portrayals of Sherlock Holmes, Jeremy Brett in the role of the Great Detective on the British Grenada television series is the best by far I've ever seen, aired from 1984-94. To me, Brett and the series generally best captured the "spirit" of Doyle's stories.
Any other "Sherlockian" fans here on Skadi?

I like Star Trek: TNG on Holmes (Data) vs Moriarty (holograph). The more recent version with Robert Downey, Jr is great except his acting is too hipster, with crossdressing ruining it. Have the TV show with Ronald Howard. Remember The Great Mouse Detective?

I used to watch reruns of Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.
