    Netflix? More Like Pedoflix

Netflix’s ‘Cuties’ slammed for ‘sexualizing’ little girls

More than 30,000 people have signed a petition asking Netflix to remove “Cuties,” a movie they claim sexualizes children.

The film, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, premieres on the streaming service Sept. 9. The trailer was released earlier this week on YouTube. It has a TV-MA rating from Netflix.

“Eleven-year-old Amy starts to rebel against her conservative family’s traditions when she becomes fascinated with a free-spirited dance crew,” the film’s description reads on the site.

However, Metro reports that the original summary was much more salacious: “Amy, 11, becomes fascinated with a twerking dance crew. Hoping to join them, she starts to explore her femininity, defying her family’s traditions.”

“Liberalism is the exoteric religion of the financial oligarchs, the high priests of Mammon who rule the West. Appealing to the vanity and self-regard of the profane, they manufacture consent by way of elections, propaganda and all manner of distractive spectacle. Manipulation of the popular consciousness, a black art honed to new levels of refinement over the last century, is now accomplished through electronic memes and quite literal programming in television, music and film. An inverted hierarchy will promote inverted values. Who among us today honors saints and warriors past as heroes worthy of our emulation? Under the usury bankster regime, we instead offer adoration to the savage and the harlot.” — Mark Hackard, from ‘Counterfeit Paradise'

Review of Stomach-Turning Scenes from Cuties (No Videos or Images)

So I just watched "Cuties" to see for myself what its all about. Truly what I found was more disturbing than I imagined. This is all the reasons why this movie is disgusting and not "empowering"..

The first half of the movie, I admit, I was wondering what the fuss was about. The girls were wearing crop tops and dancing but nothing seemed weird or creepy about it. The main character is obviously that quiet religious girl who is hanging around trying to get in with the popular group, and its the stylish clothes and dancing that makes the popular girls cool in our main characters eyes. Nothing to weird there..

Somewhere around half way through the movie my stomach turned sick as i watched scene after scene degenerate into disturbing displays of "what the actual fuck!?!" Here's the highlight reel:

-The main character gains acceptance into the popular girl group by introducing a much more sexualized dance routine to the other girls, making her feel like a hero at this point in the movie, and confirming her actions with a positive reward.

-the group of girls are constantly seeking attention and getting compliments from older boys in the film which is always followed with a fun and excited feeling to the scene

-the girls get caught sneaking into a lazer tag game and they get in trouble with the security guards until the main character twerks for the the two older men who are leering at her in the scene and they decide to let the girls leave. This is celebrated by the group of girls

-there are two different scenes with fights between girls in the movie, both leading to revealing their undergarments. In the second fight, our main character's childish underwear is revealed, prompting the group of girls to go shopping for lingerie to make her feel better

-there is an extremely disturbing scene in the movie that still makes absolutely no sense and was just sick to watch WARNING this is a graphic description but I'm just trying to relay some scenes from the movie for the better understanding of discussing what is wrong with this film; the main character is caught by her cousin (a grown man) with his stolen phone. She then proceeds to slowly start undressing (offering him sex) at which point he shoves her and she runs and locks herself in the bathroom with his phone. She then proceeds to take a picture of her genitals with his phone, upload it to the cloud, before throwing it out the door and giving it back to him.

Now lets talk about HOW some of the scenes were filmed. After the main character introduces the new sexualized routine to her friends, the film follows with many long rehearsals where the girls practice. These scenes are immediately different from the fist few dance scenes in the beginning of the movie. You can tell in the way that they chose their camera angles. It took me a minute to catch on. All of a sudden you are getting these extreme zoomed in shots in slow motion. I started mentally trying to keep track of how many times the cameras panned to the buttocks/groin area and I quicky lost track. These scenes are all completely filmed like an adult hip hop music video and the girls are acting the part. It almost starts to seem at one point that the camera is literally spending the majority of the time zoomed in on their buttocks than their faces or whole body. And this ABSOLUTELY feels uncomfortable and out of place, and is not necessary at all to communicate the plot in the film as the plot is trying to portray a sense of friendship and belonging for our main character in her new group. I cant understand the reasoning behind stylizing these scenes in this way, outside of the purposeful sexualization of these actresses and characters.

Well, that's my take on what I just watched. Fuck that movie, as a woman Im sitting here feeling sick to my stomach. There should be no misconceptions that this is a "coming of age" or "anti-sexualizing girls" kind of film. I just watched it and i feel like I'm going to need eyebleach for the rest of the week. Boycott this film. Protest this film. And tell anyone who is defending it that they are defending pedophiles.

EDIT: I missed explaining exactly the tone, or the feeling of this movie. It kind of feels like an underdog-gains-love-and-acceptance-through-a sport-or-club type movie. Also the ending has no real revelation for our main character, or lesson learned. The movie just kind of abruptly and pointlessly ends with her rejecting her friends and then rejecting her family's important event and the last scene is her randomly playing jump rope. I didn't feel that it defined closure or gave moral to the whole story. So how can it be seen by as "empowering"?

EDIT #2: if anyone is going to argue on the side that this is a "coming of age" type movie and people like me just "dont get it" I AM SUPPOSED TO BE THE TARGET AUDIENCE. I am an adult, center-left, progressive thinking female. That is how i see myself, and if this film was what some people are saying it is i am supposed to be EXACTLY the kind of person to love the concept. THIS MOVIE IS AN ABOMINATION! Other women and mothers on this thread are voicing the same feelings. Because the truth underneath it is that we aren't the target audience at all, are we? This movie was made by pedos for other pedos, and to normalize young girls portrayed in a sexual manner. That is what it is.

Let me begin by quoting from Arthur de Gobineau's An Essay on the Inequality of the Human Races, Chapter 11 "Racial Differences are Permanent":

The poets, in their stories οf love, are concerned merely with
showing their heroines in the flower οf their beauty, without
thinking of their moral development; and the Oriental poets
have always made their girl-lovers younger than the age
prescribed by the Koran. Zuleika and Leila are certainly not
yet fourteen. Ιn India, the· difference is still more marked.
Sakuntala would be a mere child in Europe. The best age of
love for an Indian girl is from nine to twelve years. It is a
very general ορiniοn, long accepted and established among the
Indian, Persian, and Arab races, that the spring οf life, for a
woman, flowers at an age that we should call a little precocious.
Οur own writers have for long followed the lead, in this matter,
οf their Roman models. These, like their Greek teachers,
regarded fifteen as the best age. Since our literature has been
influenced by Northern ideas, we have seen in our novels
nothing but girls οf eighteen, or even older.
Ideas about children and sexuality are racial and/or cultural. This movie was made by an Muslin African immigrant and will, of course, reflect those cultural ideas and ideals. This is probably even more ingrained than their low IQ. They are, as de Gobineau stated, permanent.

This is a point that deserves to be made again and again: That if you like multiculturalism, you should not complain about this but rather embrace it. That this is something that will not go away but is something of which we will see more and more as the immigrants become integrated in our societies.

It is a peculiar disease of the Western mind to see itself as universal and unconditioned, as if the Twitterati were representative of the Noble Savage, or the normal condition towards which the rest of humanity will naturally gravitate if only given the chance. This is not the case. Instead, we will see the immigrants revert more and more to their natural behavior as they become more established in our lands. Grooming gangs, pedophilia, child porn like this. You name it.

You can say that Netflix has experimented with "soft porn" from suggestive camera shots, but it'll be hard to prove with clothes on or no physical contact. Someone will have to take them to court and prove sexual exploitation of children for Cuties to be removed and then, fined in the millions. We saw these questionable practices in the 60's because of the porn kings who pushed boundaries on age and rape in their films. Children traditionally have received less rights than nonwhites. Looking at the state of North Africa in population explosion, it will only get worse.

These boundaries between adults and children are very poor due to cultural influences, poverty and harsher conditions in their home countries. Third World corrupt governments do not enforce their laws even if they have them on the books. Every problem around the globe will be transported into our country before anything gets resolved. In the meantime, we have to "overprotect our children" from these predators as they increase in numbers.

Well, I watched it to see if the uproar was warranted - the answer is yes but it's complicated. I do not believe the aim of the movie was to normalize semi-tween hypersexuality or encourage pedophilia, that's not the the takeaway from the plot, however... I think it could have that effect anyway simply because it was depicted at all.

I have to agree to an extent with Neophyte, there is a racial/cultural component to this - black girls start developing & reach menarche earlier than whites, this is a real phenomenon that I have seen growing up in extremely multicultural schools - they always got boobs before everyone else and were actively sexualizing *themselves* earlier. Not excusing the behavior but it's not particularly outrageous to me because of this, I see how it could be though if someone grew up in an ivory tower or has never lived around these people.

    The plot:

Black Muslim girl lives a pretty uninspiring life caring for her younger siblings, basically invisible at school, while watching her mother slowly dying on the inside because her husband/their dad has decided to take a second wife in Senegal and is about to bring her to their home in France, presumably to live with them. Girl sees a group of semi-popular girls from school doing fairly lewd dance routines, is mesmerized, and starts following them until they basically haze her (making her film an older boy at their school in a urinal) and let her into the group after she ditches her uni-sex wardrobe and starts wearing crop tops and learns their dance routine in secret at home. She's a bit of a kleptomaniac - stole prayer beads, a phone from her older male cousin... the phone is the source of a lot of mischief because she starts watching typical disgusting hip hop music videos and adopts even more tawdry stuff from them to their competitive dance routine. The girls upload clips of their routine dancing around town online and start getting more attention from boys at school.

The closer her dad's 2nd marriage ceremony gets, the more her mother cries in secret (she even collapses after serving them dinner at one point) and the girl's acting out escalates. An older "auntie" tries to get her in line by having her do tedious cooking preparation at the crack of dawn for her dad's new marriage ceremony, she runs away and is too late for their dance tournament try-out and gets her first period on the same day. Her mother is too busy to even really acknowledge anything other than a one liner about her being a woman now. Then, the older male cousin comes over for the marriage ceremony preparations and realizes she has stolen his phone and when he tries to wrestle it out of her grasp, she tries to seduce him but before she gets very far he becomes outraged and disgusted. In a fit of rage, she locks herself in the bathroom and proceeds to take a picture of her vagina (you don't see anything in the film) and uploads it to her instagram before throwing the phone back to him. When she arrives at school the next morning, her friends totally reject her & kick her out of the dance troupe because people are asking them for nudes and whatnot and they categorically do not want to and resent that she has opened that door, also the whole school is in hysterics over what she's done and shames her.

At some point, she gets into a fight with a rival girl group and gets her trousers pulled down, revealing children's underwear, and one of the bystanders films the entire thing and uploads it, also her pals break in to a laser tag facility and start trying to seduce/dance their way out of the staff calling the cops - one older guy is kind of luridly staring but a younger one is baffled/pissed off and yells at them as they run away. Her mother has an imam come over to pray over the girl, he also suggests that the girl is not possessed with a demon and that the mother maybe should get a divorce if her husband is pushing her to the brink. Sometime later, on the day of her dad's 2nd marriage ceremony, she escapes from the preparations to get ready for the dance tournament by pushing the weakest-link girl into a river, the girl almost drowns to her shock, and begrudgingly the other members let her join because the missing girl never shows up. Their routine is so over-the-top risque that it shocks & disgusts the audience, even the judges though mostly thrilled at the beginning start to get worried, and she freezes mid-routine and has a teary breakdown (presumably to illustrate that she realizes what she's doing is wrong), runs back home before the nuptials and gets chewed out in front of her mother for looking like a whore by pissed off old auntie. Surprisingly, her mother protects her this time, realizing that she has come to her senses, and suggests that she doesn't have to go to her father's wedding. The film ends with her putting on normal but more feminine clothes than she had at the beginning of the film, walking out of the building, and playing jump rope with other kids in the street - now happy.

Everything I read about "Cuties" in the last week said the movie was considerably worse than anticipated by its detractors, worse as in more shocking. Thoreidar sacrificed himself and watched it a few days back, he compared Cuties to Cardi B's videoclip for WAP. I myself remember watching a movie centered around the relationship of two 13 year olds over a decade ago, and which won several international awards. I was extremely uncomfortable throughout the movie, glancing away from the screen all the time, feeling dirty for having watched it - I had little choice however, this movie was screened in college and part of a course - if I had been able to walk away I would have. It's deeply disturbing to watch two people that young have sex on screen, it felt like watching kiddie porn. Nothing enjoyable or entertaining about that, only a hebe would disagree I suspect.

There are things which should never be depicted in movies, whether ironically or just to tackle a social issue, or any other reason - regardless of how pure one's intentions as a director are. Off to Mauthausen, Dachau, Bergen-Belsen or Ravensbrück with everyone involved in the production of Cuties, me thinks.

What was wrong with the Motion Picture Production Code of 1927 in the golden era of Hollywood:

I'd say what I saw of 'Cuties' was even a bit more visually explicit than the music video for 'WAP'.
