The police officers are afraid and react quickly with little training in the mental health field. US needs to change their methods of dealing with mentally ill and arresting procedures. They should shoot to maim if tasers don't work, so it doesn't make sense. More white people are shot per year, 2x's as often than Blacks, BUT the media makes everything political and racial for votes. Are drugs this bad in Europe yet with open borders?
The drug thing was something that increased over the past decades. Here it was mostly dagga (Marihuana) that was used. Usually that is a teenage episode. But for most it used to be a done that, been there, not interested in T-shirt thing. With time one does however get a sub-culture of drug users. Those can be smoking cannabis, throwing pills in clubs towards using the heavy stuff.... Those aren't only outsiders anymore, but you will also find that among professionals meaning people with access to funds, power and in some cases towards "controlled substances" themselves.

As for mentally ill, those have always existed, but it wasn't as pervasive in the past. It seems as if the more resources are channelled towards, the more it becomes a problem. The "the cops are racist and victimise Blacks" narrative is of course a ruse without base in reality. One gets however anecdotes that can be made fit the profile. One should actually be surprised that Whites aren't more aggressive towards other groups, given that those are indeed making their lives hell and destroy the functioning of societies Whites live in.

Washington Football Team bans fans from wearing Native American headdresses, face paint

A year after removing its old nickname, the Washington Football team is finally taking a stand on fans dressing as Native Americans.

The team announced Wednesday that attendees of games will be barred from wearing Native American attire.

“We are excited to welcome everyone back wearing their Burgundy & Gold,” the team said. “However, Native American inspired ceremonial headdresses or face paint may no longer be worn into the stadium.”

The team changed its name in 2020 following years of outcry from the Native American community.

The final straw came when over a dozen Native American leaders and organizations sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to get rid of the name last July. The following week the team announced its decision to get rid of the old name.

“We have 89 years of history in this league and failing to acknowledge our past use of Native imagery in the consideration of the new name wouldn’t be mindful of the individuals and communities that were hurt by the previous name,” team president Jason Wright wrote for the team’s website last month.

“We’ve made significant changes in our organization and our culture, and our new name must reflect these changes. To that end, we will choose an identity that unequivocally departs from any use of or approximate linkage to Native American imagery.”

The team has also made some other policy changes for fans in regard to COVID-19. While tailgating will return, the team recommends unvaccinated fans to wear masks and while making it optional for those vaccinated.

As for the on-field product, head coach Ron Rivera expressed his frustrations with his squad last week for its low vaccination rate.

At the time of his remarks, the team was reportedly 60 percent vaccinated against COVID, one of the lowest rates across the league. They’ve recently seen an increase, and which Rivera is encouraged about.

“It is [stressful]. We all feel that way,” Rivera said. “But I know there are good numbers out there, and we’re moving in that direction, so we’re feeling good about that.”

NYC Butcher Fleisher’s Closed After Staff Walks Out Over BLM Sign Removal

Brooklyn-based “rockstar butcher” Fleisher’s has been forced to close its stores because dozens of workers reportedly walked off the job after the CEO removed Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ pride signs that employees had put in the storefront windows.

The company’s website says all of its locations, its two stores in New York City and two others in Connecticut, are “temporarily closed.”

The beef between workers and management began last month, when Rob Rosania, a leading investor in the butcher, received a text from a pal in Westport, Conn. who was offended by BLM signs in the company’s local storefront.

Rosania, a San Francisco-based real estate developer, reportedly called Fleisher’s CEO John Adams and told him to get rid of the signs.

Fleisher’s workers told Forbes that Adams had joined the company with the promise of bringing accountability to the workforce of about 40, at least half of whom identify as BIPOC or non-binary or queer.

“I told him he failed at that,” said Ajani Thompson, 32, the only Black employee at the butcher’s store in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood. "I don’t feel safe coming into work because you didn’t do that.”

The worker walkout left Fleisher’s, which has established a reputation for high-end and pricey meats, unable to operate, and the nationwide labor shortage means it’s unlikely the company will be able to quickly replace its staff.

I haven't given a @$% about the NFL for a longtime now, but as a kid in the 90s I was a Redskins fan. Needless to say, I no longer am. Maybe my old Redskins memorabilia will now be worth something, lol.

New Zealand Football Reviews ‘All Whites’ Nickname as Part of Cultural Inclusivity Project

New Zealand Football (NZF) is reviewing its “All Whites” nickname as part of a cultural project run by the organization.

The moniker was attributed to the men’s national side during the country’s successful qualifying campaign for the 1982 FIFA World Cup, according to reports, due to the team’s all-white kit.

But NZF, the country’s football governing body, said it had sought feedback from stakeholders about whether all areas of the federation were still “fit for purpose.”

“As with many other national bodies, New Zealand Football is on a journey around cultural inclusivity and respecting the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi,” read a NZF statement, referring to the treaty signed between the British crown and Maori chiefs in 1840.

The New Zealand women’s team is nicknamed the “Football Ferns,” while the country’s men’s rugby team is famously called the “All Blacks” after its iconic black kit.

Ex-Officer Chauvin Pleads Not Guilty in Police Brutality Case Involving Teen

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pleaded not guilty on Thursday to using excessive force against a Black teenager in 2017, ABC reported.
Chauvin pleaded not guilty to allegations he violated a 14-year-old's civil rights during an encounter in 2017, according to ABC News.

The outlet cited the indictment as alleging that Chauvin had grabbed the teenager's throat, hit him on the head with a flashlight and kneeled on his neck and upper back while he was handcuffed and no longer resisting.

The report, citing police department records, said at least 18 complaints were filed against Chauvin during his 19 years of service.

In June, a US court sentenced Chauvin to 22.5 years in prison for the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The 46-year-old Black man was killed in police custody after Chauvin kneeled on his neck for around 9 minutes.
Floyd's death was caught on video and sparked widespread protests and riots over officer-involved killings of Blacks and systemic racism in the United States

No, it wasn't. His arrest was... Since they noticed health issues, ambulance was called in Floyd was carried away. He only died later, which could also have been from the treatment afterwards, while the health condition was induced by drug abuse.

That one gets accused by street thugs of all kind of crimes shouldn't be a matter of concern.

Newsom Signs Law to Replace Sacramento Junipero Serra Statue With Monument for Tribes

    Kim Bojorquez, Sacramento Bee

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law on Friday that would replace a former statue of a controversial Catholic missionary on the grounds of Sacramento’s Capitol Park with a new monument that honors the region’s Native American tribes.

The bill-signing commemorated Native American Day. Other related bills included in Friday’s signing include a bill that would replace Columbus Day with Native American Day held in September and legislation that would protect Native American students from wearing “items of cultural significance” at high school graduations.

“Today’s action sends a powerful message from the grounds of Capitol Park across California underscoring the state’s commitment to reckoning with our past and working to advance a California for All built on our values of inclusion and equity,” said Newsom in a statement.

Assembly Bill 338, authored by Assemblyman James C. Ramos, D-Highland, would strike a decades-old requirement to keep and maintain a monument of Spanish Missionary Junípero Serra, who was previously referred by Pope Francis as “the evangelizer of the West.”

Protesters toppled Serra’s statue last summer during the nationwide protests spurred by the death of George Floyd {snip} Serra statues in Los Angeles and San Francisco also fell at the hands of activists.

A marble sculpture of Christopher Columbus was removed last year from the Capitol Rotunda at the request of California Democrats
