While it's not as bad as dating Asians and Georgians, it's still ethnic mixing. Like Nachtengel said, she's not German. When you marry a non-German, you risk that your kids don't turn up German, especially if the mother is foreign, since the kids normally spend most of the formative years with the mother. Does she even speak German? Or do they speak English among themselves? The kids might end up as some generic white American with no particular loyalty to the German nation. Catholic is not relevant, since it's not specifically Germanic. It's preferable to marry a Protestant of your own nation than a foreign Catholic. Plus it's a bad example to nationalists out there who look up to them. He's not an average Joe who maybe falls in love with a foreigner but he's the image of the Identitarian movement. A movement about identity. Identity is not preserved through mixing. Ad while ethnic mixing among Germanics is more preferable than mixing with non-Germanics, on a large scale it can still cause harm because it destroys individual Germanic ethnicities and nations.

Also ethnic mixers are usually serial mixers. If you've done it once, it's easier to do it again. And next time maybe the foreigner won't be Germanic, but an American of generic white ancestry, or some Irish or Italian American. Or maybe not even white.

True nationalists shouldn't engage in ethnic mixing. Nationalists place their own folk, their nation above other nations. A German who is proud to be German doesn't marry a non-German. Same for a proud Englishman, he marries an English woman. True nationalists aren't only proud of their nation but they also respect the preservation of other Germanic nations and don't try to hinder it by mixing with their people.

At least, he did not have "yellow-fever." Some "Right" in America are more fascist than true national socialist, and they chose an Asian wife to "compensate" these "defective" white female traits. (And no, I'm average weight, married and good health myself.) Even the recent Scandinavian men also select Asian women too often to ignore lately in the US and Europe since they may have more financial incentives.
I'm over half German from mostly my maternal side along with British Isle from paternal so I don't feel less German overall. The German cultural influences gave "us" many children and larger celebrations in life. If we have a baby shower, around 100 relatives will attend with big hearts and many gifts to start off a young couple. I hardly knew nothing of my Old English "Norman" side, but they had smaller private families. I feel more "Germanized" and accepted on the maternal side.
The German culture remained alive in Midwestern towns until recent mass immigration. Many German American people started to speak English fluently only in the 40's as there were more social and government pressure to assimilate. In the US, most Germans have recently intermingled with more "British" partners because of close proximity. I think in historical terms too. Ever heard of the Hallstatt Celts from Austria???
