Women, Would You Date or Marry Someone of Lower Socio-Economic Status?

Many folks like to beat around the bush, however finances are an important aspect of life. Do finances play a role in selecting a date or partner? Do you aim higher than your social/economic class, about the same level or would you mind going lower? If so how do you envision the financial aspect of the relationship? Should there be qualms about placing an importance on the financial aspect?

    I’m not a girl so don’t bite!

Girls naturally date up. You ladies need to pick your partner carefully, as not doing so in the past would have left you destitute and probably condemn your child to a lifetime of poverty and crime. The reality today is no different, but you get free stuff from the tax payer so many don’t care anymore.

I am not really interesting in finding "love" and by now I've gotten used to being single, however if I were to consider someone else, their financial status would have to be at least on par with mine. They would have to be able to sustain themselves and not rely on my finances. So no, I definitely would not marry someone who would require me to empty my wallet. My son is the one who has financial priority and I've had to work pretty hard to ensure a decent life for him. It may not sound like 17th century romance, but this is how life works.

What if his finances was lower than yours, but he still managed to sustain himself and never asked you for any handouts?

There are country Ladies and Gentlemen.

Living in the country doesn't equate to being an ignorant inbred country hick with no social graces.

Plenty of well-off socially competent folks live in the country. They just run in different circles than the caviar and champagne crowd.

Yes I know. Pure money wise I would say our family is somewhere in upper middle class.

City people just go to eat in fast food restaurants, cafeterias etc. (everything available). They (girls) will start to cook only at time they'll move away from their parents; guys probable never.

I started to cook and bake as a small girl. But I think nowadays many don't even like home made foods.

I don't equate quality men with their financial status. But I wouldn't become involved with a criminally inclined individual, or someone who is perpetually unemployed for no good reason either.
Not all in life is at it appears to be.

Folks who live in the countryside ain't necessarily of lower socio-economic status. I live there myself. Plenty of rich folks who live in the country side, it's nice if ya like the quiet and wanna get away from the crime and multiculturalism in the city. Plus if you're rich you can practically live anywhere your heart desires.
