Independence day (6th of December) ... new-nazis in Helsinki / Finland

Seems like local polices and new-nazis have met again in Finland / Helsinki today. Link's articles says that there have also been new-nazis from Sweden to taken apart of these demonstrations. They mentioned Nordic resistance movement (organization's Finland's branch: Pohjoismainen vastarintaliike is barred in Finland). Looks like that polices are wearing riot gears...

Yeah, I read a thread about it on Flashback when someone was asking if anyone was going over there. Did that organization not get banned in Finland?

Lol, is this picture a joke? People sometimes say that Finland is 20 years behind, but I didn't know that it was to meant to be taken seriously. Going back enough in time to the early 90's, the Sweden Democrats party was once like that.

As far as I am concerned, Blood & Honour haven't been around in Sweden for many, many years.

Honestly I would like to see Swedes fighting behalf of Sweden (more than travel into Finland and join demonstrations there).

I can see that, but the "redneck" skinhead years were not exactly the most productive period of the nationalistic movement. I don't think that there could have been any way for anyone to have ever gained political influence if that had persisted.

Exactly. If stupid people could only realize that they are meant to be followers and not leaders and just shut the f*** up, nationalist movements would be in a much better place.
Most people think as they are trained to think, and most people make a majority.

    Oh, fully agree here.

I have hear enough of skinheads and polices (society) fights in Skåne late 1980's and early 1990's. All areas (whole Skåne's) 150 polices were against the new nazis. City of Lund was also exactly one stage where those exactly took in place (where the statue of king Charles XII of Sweden was .... so called ''the last war king of Sweden).

Nazisterna och SD-grundarna Gustaf Ekström (till hälften dold av statyn) och Gösta Bergquist (med rutig halsduk) vid 30 novemberfirandet i Lund 1994.

    https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_XII-firande_i_Lund

That old statue from year 1853 was finally removed 2007 - 2008 ....

I actually think that those moments have ... at least partly ... influenced to the negative picture ... which many shares against nationalism & nationalists today. Seeing it as uncontrolled, unorganized anarchism which bases on violence and hate only.

Yes, I think nationalist movements would need more educated, intelligent and wiser people to forward their agendas and ideas.

Skinheads were mostly hooligans in it for the drinking and fighting. They were usually not very ideological. Expo and the MSM still use the murder of John Hron to pin on nationalists, even though he wasn't murdered for political reasons but by a bunch of violent maniacs. The MSM can still say that "Nazis did it".

Some parties in the mid-'90s started to require the wearing of uniforms and caps so that they would not look like skinheads in clothing and the lack of hair. They banned the skinhead look.

It wasn't hard for the media to paint nationalists in a bad light through them. That's why they were so harmful. It took many, many years to wash off this image as dangerous violent offenders, if it even has been washed off.
