    We celebrate Yule in my home and with 4 children ranging from 2 to 24, there is a lot of gift exchanging going on. We firmly believe that gifting around this time is important because it strengthens bonds between us as a family. As well, gifting adds excitement to the season and is a material reminder of all the hard work each of us puts in every day in order to make our family thrive.

    I hope the same for all the folks here this season.

    Then I came here I brought with me big frozen elk meat to grandparents (that moose was shoot in our land Ostrobothnia earlier this autumn).

    But as I'm living here (bit longer) ... I wanted to give them something to remember (and thank) for my time here.

    So I will give to..

    1.) my granny:

    4 * Iittala glasses with plates (made in Finland). Despite of being glasses ... those are strong ... made to stand hot water/drinks ... like hot tea or glögi/glögg. Plus dish, creamer cup & sugar blow (same series). As some probably can guess/see via design ... yes .... these comes from Eastern Finland ... Czars (last Romanovs) had pretty similar ones ... glassblower artist/designer ... unknown (bolseviks killed many of those).

    2.) my grandpap:

    Kupilka product set (made in Finland).

    Guess what my mom gave me for Christmas. A purse! A small dark blue crossbody purse. She also gave me a zippered travel case for jewelry (I only have costume jewelry), a small mirror that attaches to the back of my phone, and two small boxes of Barbie shoes.

    She said she thinks the black and white purses I bought for her (that she didn't want and I'm keeping) are too big for me.

    I have a lot of purses now.

    Merry Christmas

    P.S. And we had only one small brief argument about me gaining weight. I've been eating muffins.

    I got horse riding hours (for Q1/2020) and new horse riding clothes (from my parents, grandparents and relatives here):

    * riding jacket (hunter green color)
    * horse riding breech/pant (creame white color)
    * new helmet (standard black)
    * riding boots (black color)
    * a whip (black color)
    * riding gloves (white)

    That was amazing ... I left my old helmet and shoes at home (Ostrobothnia). And those are already pretty old and used (also looks so) as I'm riding in the forest. I just have not ride with real horse for quite long time, just with one and same pony back at home. So I'm bit nervous how I will manage that.

    You are blessed with a wonderful family. I think you had the best Christmas imaginable. Enjoy your horse riding!

    Thanks Elizabeth. Yes, they are wonderful people .

    Honestly ... I look pretty ''fancy'' . Luckily the horse riding clothes are always pretty traditional ... so in good (taste) ways. I'm not the one who follows the fashion trends.

    I think they were bit worry that I might have too less to do here (I'm like a Duracell bunny ... lol) ... so they decided to give me something where use my endless energy. It doesn't matter that I'm scary to go jogging here. I can not go skiing either (as there is not snow in Skåne) ... but now I can go either figure skating or riding .
