I've spoken to a few people who originally hail from the Halle area and/or are politically active in that area. No one, literally no one knew this Stephan B. guy. It really seems like he was one of those incel Siege-type idiots who are oft, like he realised in the process, absolute losers. He doesn't seem to have lived much of an offline life.
That being said, I found it somewhat disheartening to see all the politicians etc. line up at synagogues whilst not really spending a moment of memory for the two, completely ethnically German victims. The woman that was posted earlier liked Schlager music and doesn't appear to have hurt anyone.
I will repeat what I felt after similar events in the past: These are not the deeds of people who love their own, these are the deeds of people who have serious issues. If you think the best way to gain your fifteen minutes of fame is by going mental with a gun, start with shooting yourself.
That way, you don't shoot innocent folks, and you don't make it hard for people who you believe share some of your views either, who are then tarred with the same brush.
Someone I know, knew Kevin S. somewhat. It appears that Kevin was very active in the football fan scene of Hallescher FC, which is known to be somewhat patriotic/nationalist seeming, especially those fans that travel, like Kevin S. did, to the away games. Some fans actually held an emotional goodbye at the murder scene some days after the shooting:
It also appears that, judging from his friends, Kevin was a patriotic-minded young guy. He was a manual worker (I think it's painter or something). The basic reason he was at that Döner place appears to not be because he were to like kebab that much, but basically because his lunch break was relatively short and he and his co-workers were working close nearby and opted for the closest place to dine...
-In kalte Schatten versunken...
(Heimdalls Wacht, In kalte Schatten versunken, stanzas 4-6)
