At Least 17 Injured as Truck Rams Into Traffic in Germany

At least 17 people were injured Monday after a truck rammed into traffic in the city of Limburg an der Lahn, located in Hesse, Germany.
According to DPA news agency reports, the truck was stolen earlier from a local train station.
The driver of the truck has been arrested. His motives remain unclear and the authorities urge to wait for the official investigation results and not to speculate on the assailant’s motives. However, Frankfurter Neue Presse report indicates the driver was a Muslim as he allegedly used the word “Allah” in his speech.
The attack left at least 8 vehicles damaged, the police say.
