More Women Than Men Are Unemployed In Sweden – And Foreigners Are The Worst Off

More women than men are unemployed in Sweden, according to new figures.
After a long period of falling steadily, Sweden's unemployment rate remained on the rise in August, with almost 350,000 people classed as unemployed. That's 8,000 more than in the same month last year.

Among women, the unemployment rate was 7.0 percent at the end of August, compared to 6.9 percent for men. This summer is the first time since 2011 that the unemployment rate is higher for women than for men.

A major part of the reason is the overall slowdown in the Swedish economy, after a couple of years of booming finances, and foreign-born women with little or no education are the worst affected.

The number of women who have been unemployed for more than 12 months has also increased in Sweden by 1,500 in a year to 74,000. Foreign-born women with a low level of education make up almost the entire increase, according to national job agency Arbetsförmedlingen, which is behind the statistics.

Around 1,800 people were let go in August, fewer than the monthly average of 3,800 in the past year.

    Immigrant:
    * have many times too low skills in Swedish.
    * have much lower education level vs ethnic Swedes.
    * immigrant women will many times (culturally) stay at home (not even search for jobs)
    * no ambitions. Already social security system of Sweden offers much better life vs their home countries/what they have used to.
    * employees will not hire non-European immigrant women easily because of risks continuous maternity leaves.

Here're how it looked 2016 (4 Nordic countries)
% immigrants who have gotten/found jobs
    * Person born in Africa = blue, person born in Asia =red.
    * Countries left to right (Ruotsi = Sweden, Norja = Norway, Tanska = Denmark, Suomi = Finland)

As we see ... Asia based immigrants have found jobs bit more often vs Africa based immigrants in all 4 countries. BUT even in the best cases (Asia immigrants in Norway and in Sweden) 44% - 47% of them are still unemployed and in worse case (Finland and Africa immigrants) 62% of them. Finland has clearly least immigrants, they still will become employed the worst. Couple of reasons: Unemployment is highest in Finland (bit higher vs Sweden), Finns are the most suspicious against strangers and Finland (as a country) has used least tax payers money to immigrants ''programs''.

That puts politicians talks about work based immigration in the right light. Ok, I agree these small high standard of livings countries might have lacks of some workers (the birth rates are too low) .... but those vacancies simply can not be fitted with uneducated, low IQ people (they would need the best of best). The jobs and the persons simply just don't match.

In Norway, immigrants who take part in some government program or even just work 1 hour each week are not considered unemployed. I am pretty sure it's the same way in Sweden?

Sure. That is true with all these countries. Just a same ways as if you send/keep them in some labour experiment courses (again out of these numbers). To say that in real words ... ''clean the statistics''. And no doubts Sweden (their politicians) have the highest interest to that (= try show these kind of statistics as nice as possible. Norway and Denmark next and Finland the ''the least''. Just in same order as how pro-active these countries have been against immigration policy. Now leftists in Finland goes and says that Sweden does everything much better than Finland ... as looking those statistics; passive way let people understand that its someway Finland's fault that immigrants will not find jobs here
