    Tornado Alley Might Be Shifting

Major hurricanes are dangerous over broad areas. But major tornadoes are more destructive to lives and property in their narrower damage paths. And I reside within what is known as tornado alley due to the frequency of these violent storms.

"The USA's infamous "Tornado Alley" may be shifting to the east, a new study reports.

Over the past four decades, researchers found that tornadoes have increased over a large swath of the Midwest and Southeast, including what's been referred to as "Dixie Alley."

At the same time, they've decreased in the central and southern Plains, a region traditionally known as Tornado Alley that includes Oklahoma and Texas.

“Regions in the Southeast and Midwest are closing the gap when it comes to the number of tornado reports,” said Northern Illinois University meteorologist
Victor Gensini, who led the study.

Although Tornado Alley still remains the top U.S. area for tornadoes, areas to the east are catching up, based on data from 1979 to 2017. This includes portions of Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.

“It’s not that Texas and Oklahoma do not get tornadoes,” Gensini said. “They’re still the number one location in terms of tornado frequency, but the trend in many locations is down over the past 40 years.”

This new research is key for pinpointing future tornado damage in the U.S. "Severe thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds cause an average of $5.4 billion of damage each year across the United States, and 10 billion-dollar events are no longer uncommon," the study said.

"Economic losses associated with tornadoes will continue to increase in future years," the study also warned, adding that "the combination of an increase in risk and exposure could lead to a threefold increase in tornado disaster potential."

Overall, about 1,200 tornadoes hit the U.S. yearly, the National Severe Storms Laboratory said.

Tornadoes in the Southeast also tend to be deadlier than those in the Plains, due to several factors such as longer, larger tornado paths, expanding population, more moblie homes, and more nighttime tornadoes. On average, about 40 people die in the nine states that make up the southeastern U.S. each year. Alabama tallies the highest death toll annually with an average of 14, according to data from the Storm Prediction Center.

The Mid-South, an area with Memphis at its center, is a particular worry, as it "has the greatest potential for increased tornado disasters by the end of the century," the study said.

An average of 10 people die from twisters each year combined in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, three states that make up most of Tornado Alley.
Overall, nationwide, about 73 Americans are killed each year by tornadoes, based on data from 1985-2014.

Study researchers also aren't sure if this eastward shift in tornado reports could be due to natural or human-induced climate change.

The study was published Wednesday in the Nature partner journal Climate and Atmospheric Science. "

Of course these articles are spun as an excuse to take away our cars and air conditioners by taxing them into oblivion (and giving the money to the Rothschilds, who are at the heart of the carbon credit scheme.) Most of the poor fools who let these charlatans play their heartstrings with global warming propaganda have no clue what is really going on.
Most people think as they are trained to think, and most people make a majority.

You should yourself learn to seperate actual climate change from the charlatanery to "fight" it, indeed.

I really wonder why people still deny that something is happening. Wine is being grown in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and even Sweden now, because the warmer climate allows for it. While regions more south become deserts, the glaciers in the Alps are dying (which are not only the greatest fresh water resource for Austria, Switzerland and Germany but also used to balance the rest of the climate, which is increasingly failing as temperature records above 40° become more common), Iceland officially buried a glacier just recently in a public funeral. In USA tornados increase, their strength increases, the shift of the regions hit is a huge indicator for climate change as well, and more important maybe, is an indicator of ocean temperatures increasing, which means there will be ever more tornados. Permafrost regions are becoming warmer as well, melting the permafrost not only a handful meters in summer but deep into the ground. The result of this process is this:

Methane explosions from depots which are 50+ meters below surface and used to be safely frozen. Well, not anymore. The Tundra is holed with hundreds of such craters, releasing methane in mega-ton amounts now.

    All just hoax? Nope.

So you think we can continue as we do, destroying our environment, our air, our oceans, our soil, our animals?

That "natural" change was a time range of 10,000 years, and the same amount of change happened in the last 200 years. But of course it's all the same. Change constantly happens, like change of populations and cultures. The Völkerwanderung really was the same like mass migration today, even though back then a handful European tribes walked in circles through Europe, while now the global populations stream to the holy land of milk and honey. But it's really the same thing! Change is good! Change has always happened, and there is nothing we can do about it.
    Notice something?

And let's talk politics for a second. Our youth takes to the street to protest large scale environment destruction, following the "Greens" (water melon, outside green, inside cultural marxist and globalist) because they hijacked an inherently nationalist topic for their own gain indeed. And self-proclaimed "nationalists" promote continued environment destruction, global free trade (for profit), get mass migration for free on top and deny climate change when there's a gift of history walking the streets that we only need to pick up. Each and every solution to the many environment issues is a nationalist one. It was the same with the Occupy movement. The solution to the protested global trade war and capitalism is nationalism, yet "nationalists" denounced it as "leftist feelgood nonsense" and left the field to globalists and cultural marxists. Great job. Not.

No we cannot continue things as they are. I'm just saying that the whole climate change thing is overhyped. Climate changes naturally. Or are you going to say that the cold weather that hit Europe in the 17th century, for example, never happened? Was there a man made climate change, due to industrial activity, back then too?
We should however change for other reasons. For example the health effects, pollution of soil and water, etc. Those things are very real and are 100% man made.
And so an environmental movement within our circles is very much needed, yes. But a sane one, not the one the lefties are pushing that makes them look like a bunch of lunatics that escaped from a mental institution.

There has always been variation in climate. In 1000, Greenland was warm enough to support 3000 farmers. It was after ~1300 that the climate in Northern Europe grew colder, and it is this cooler period that the charlatans use as "proof" that something is amiss now.

No matter what WE do to moderate our "carbon footprint" (what is the current directive? Oh, yes, as usual it's all whitey's fault, and Jews make a guest appearance as "white" just long enough to say "mea culpa! "We" whites must die!" before magically becoming Jewish again and declaring it a "hate crime" to blame them for anything they have, in fact, done.)

But I digress. All it takes is another Tambora-level event to chill the Earth down again, and a slightly bigger volcano gives us another ice age. So much for our riding bicycles and not breeding "for the Earth."
Most people think as they are trained to think, and most people make a majority.
