Hmm, my attitude against guns like AK-47? I think they are junk and produced very cheaply and are not very accurate with an under powered round only effective at close ranges under two hundred meters, other than that if someone wants to own one I see no problem.

I suggest you go with Western made tactical rifle such as HK or FN, anything else is just a pedestrian effort.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

I see. I did't mean the quality of it as a weapon ...

Finns guys (while their military services) are shooting/training 150m & 300m distances with RK-62 (better copy of AK-47).

    Junk? Maybe some versions are.

I'll admit I don't know that much about them, but I was with Gareth at an outdoor range when he scored 1" groups at 100 yards with his custom AKM. He was using Serbian ammo that comes in a blue box. It was very loud and I could hear it smack the steel plates he was shooting at.
Not all in life is at it appears to be.

Yes, all versions are junk, They were designed to be junk that could be mass produced and are easy to fire by untrained soldiers.

The 7.62x39 is under powered for the dia., a 1" group at 100 yards does not mean the same at 150 yards and especially 200 yards. The 7.62x51 NATO is a far superior round.

AK-47 Designer Kalashnikov Gets Statue in Moscow

    Well-deserved

The legendary designer of the AK47 and AK74 rifles, as well as the PK and RPK machine guns, is more popular in the Motherland than ever. A nearly 25-foot high statue of Gen. Mikhail Kalashnikov is currently under construction by sculptor Salavat Shcherbakov, set for public dedication at the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow next May. As reported by Vesti News, the monument will be placed at Armory Square near the Kremlin at the intersection of Sadovo-Karetnaya and Krasnoproletarskaya streets...............

“He keeps his product – machine gun – but not like shooting at someone, not as a fighter even, but as Stradivari, who created the perfect instrument – the violin,” said Shcherbakov............................. .

During training, I learned how a combat team can maneuver effectively using full-auto suppressive firepower with the M16A1 5.56mm rifle equipped with 30 round magazines. In fact, my team scored highest on the course.

However, we also learned that one has to aim if one wants to maim.

While I have used a scoped .243 bolt-action rifle for precision shooting, I now practice regularly with a customized AKM that is equipped with a nitride barrel:

Yes. With properly matched ammo, such as PPU makes, I can regularly achieve 1" groups at 100 yards, which is more than acceptable for any combat or hunting rifle.
Aside from an ever increasing number of mortals who have willfully chosen to worship Satan and his minions, our battle has always been against the powers and principalities operating surreptitiously throughout this twisted world.

I know one man here in Ostrobothnia, who used this in his military service/training and not normal RK-62 (copy of AK-47)

For sniping operations that require longer range precision shooting on the modern battlefield, that would be a good choice.

I guess those rare guys who'll end to sniper training (military choose them) needs to own pretty calm personality? Every men will not suit for that, or can not hit targets 1000m - 1500m distances?
