Two sources means it's arson. He says it right at the beginning.
One thing I have heard is one of the people they're considering for
the rebuild is an architect that likes to build giant sex toy shaped buildings.

Survey: 54% of French Want Notre Dame Rebuilt as it Was

FILE - A city view shows the Notre Dame Cathedral, March 30, 2016, as part of the skyline in Paris, France. The April 15, 2019 fire toppled the Gothic landmark's spire and damaged the roof.

    PARIS —

A narrow majority of French people want the fire-ravaged Notre Dame cathedral to be rebuilt exactly as it was, a survey said Tuesday.

As the French government prepares to push through legislation that aims to reconstruct the famous Paris landmark within five years, the poll showed that 54% of French people want it restored to just as it was before the devastating fire on April 15.

Only a quarter support the idea that the rebuilding should include a modern "architectural gesture" championed by French President Emmanuel Macron, while a further 21 percent of those surveyed by YouGov for two French media outlets had no opinion.

France has launched an international architectural competition for the reconstruction of the cathedral's 19th-century spire, which collapsed into the nave during the inferno.

But Macron's insistence on a speedy restoration of the Gothic masterpiece has raised the hackles of conservationists.

More than 1,100 French architects and heritage experts signed a open letter earlier this week warning the president of the dangers of taking hasty and "precipitous" decisions. "Let's take our time to find the right path and then set an ambitious deadline for an exemplary restoration," they urged.

Donations to help rebuild the cathedral have poured in from around the globe, with the total now topping 850 million euros ($954,000,000).

The debate has now shifted as to how the Gothic cathedral should rise from the ashes.

Some argue for an exact historical restoration while others claim modern methods and techniques should be used on a building which has evolved over the centuries. Construction of the Paris landmark began in the mid-12th century.

French MPs are poring over the new law which would relax tender and some heritage rules to help speed the restoration, and are likely to start debating it on May 10, a source told AFP.

The law would also give tax advantages to donors and set up a public body to oversee and carry out the work.

The YouGov online poll was done between April 26 and 29 on a sample of 1,010 French adults.

Survey: French Want Notre Dame Rebuilt as it Was08 May 2019.

    EU is now a zoo.

Macron, the little frog faggot and globalist puppet hasn't a clue about anything. This is what he's been told to do. All he knows, is to do what he's told by his 'masters'.

The NDC was the tenth French church which has been on fire since June 2018. And now the number is eleven.
"After the year 1900 people will become unrecognisable. When the time for the Advent of the Antichrist approaches, peoples minds will grow cloudy from carnal passions, and dishonour and lawlessness will grow stronger. Peoples appearances will change, and it will be impossible to distinguish men from women due to there shamelessness in dress and style of hair. These people will be cruel and will be like wild animals because of the temptations of the Antichrist. There will be no respect for parents or elders, love will disappear, and Christian pastors, bishops, and priests will become vain men, completely failing to distinguish the right hand way from the left. At that time the morals and traditions of Christians and the Church will change. People will abandon modesty, and dissipation will reign. Falsehood and greed will attain great proportions, and woe to those who pile up treasures. Lust, adultery, homosexuality, secret deeds and murder will rule in society." - St. Nilus, 430 AD

Swedish Firm Proposes Turning Notre Dame Roof Into a Giant Swimming Pool

A Swedish architecture firm has proposed turning the roof of Notre Dame cathedral in Paris into a giant swimming pool.

    Yes, seriously.

In line with the French government’s announcement that a modern, contemporary redesign would be preferred, Stockholm-based Ulf Mejergren Architects (UMA) say the roof of the gothic church should become “a new meditative space with unmatched views over Paris.”

In order to return Notre Dame to “the city and the people” (which was already the situation before the fire), the company wants to install “a large public pool that occupies the whole roof.”

“Our addition is a complementary spatial experience to the building that will match the awe of the great interior; a space for thinking and self-reflection,” said UMA describing their project.

While the proposal sounds bizarre, it’s actually not as bad as some of the other ideas, which include turning the roof of the sacred structure into a giant greenhouse.

Wow, those spires could be made into fantastic diving platforms

Also, you wouldn't have to worry about future fires because of all the water available ... yep, this makes sense to me!

Notre-Dame says the billionaires who pledged to rebuild the cathedral haven't paid 'a cent' yet, and most of the money so far has come from regular Americans

    Source: Insider.com

    • The French billionaires and companies that pledged millions toward the restoration of Paris' Notre-Dame Cathedral have not written checks yet, church and business officials told the Associated Press on Friday.
    • Most of the donations used to fund the clean-up work from the April 15 fire have come from Americans.
    • Representatives for the billionaires said they are waiting to see the plans for the restoration before sending the money.

When a fire devastated Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris two months ago, French billionaires jumped to offer millions in donations to restore the church to its former glory.

But so far, they haven't followed through on their promise that collectively amounts to about $1 billion, according to a new Associated Press report.

Instead, church and business officials told the AP that the vast majority of the funds paying for the clean-up right now are coming from American citizens who donated to the church's Friends of Notre Dame charity.

"Americans are very generous toward Notre Dame and the monument is very loved in America. Six out of our 11 board members are residents in the US," charity President Andre Picaud told the AP.

That charity is currently in the process of issuing its first check to the church, in the amount of $4 million. It will go toward the salaries of the up to 150 workers who have been employed by the church since the April 15 fire.

"The big donors haven't paid. Not a cent," Andre Finot, senior press official at Notre Dame, told the AP. "They want to know what exactly their money is being spent on and if they agree to it before they hand it over, and not just to pay employees' salaries."

I once lived in an apartment that was half of a house. A house divided into two houses/apartments. The person I paid rent to was the owner of the house and he claimed to be a millionaire. He was the cheapest person on earth. When I needed the sink to be fixed he said all it needed was a new "washer" for the faucet. I didn't know what that was. (Not a laundry washing machine). I figured Kmart must have it. I walked into town to the Kmart and no one there knew what it was, couldn't help me. I also went to a hardware store, couldn't help me. Eventually the landlord got a washer, don't know where he got it from, but he charged me fifteen cents for it. It's a tiny little thing that is like a filter that fits onto the end of the faucet.

When my electricity blew out...the fuse box in the kitchen blew up...the firemen came and told me they found a penny in the fusebox. I don't understand electric stuff but the firemen seemed to convey to me that someone dangerously (and very cheap) put a penny there when it needed a new fuse. They suggested I move.

When I had a gas leak, the gas company man went to the basement. I had never gone into the basement. When he came out he looked very spooked and didn't say why he said this but he said I should move. Then my landlord showed up, after the gas man left the basement, and asked him if had been in the basement. The gas man was wide eyed and looked terrified of him and nodded that yes he had been in the basement. The gas man pretty much ran back to his vehicle. My landlord, who had claimed to be a millionaire (and he said he owned a lot of properties), was no lazy millionaire, he worked. He was an assistant funeral director who worked nights. From the look on the face of the gas man I thought there must be a body in the basement, or body parts. I never went in the basement. About the gas leak, the pilot light kept going out on the stove every now and then. It would go out when the kitchen door to the back porch would open or close. But it was going out when no one was home. My mom lived with me at the time. Long story short...the landlord was using his key to enter my apartment through the kitchen door when I wasn't there...I came home from work and used the front door instead of the back door and saw and heard the back door close...and my landlord quickly walking to his side of the house. We had a shared back porch. Anyway, I had to turn off the gas by turning off the gas valve. And I stopped going to work through the back door and kept the screen door latch on it so no one can get in, unless my mom was locking the door for me and she would latch it. My gas bill was still very high. I believe I was paying to heat both sides of the house, his and mine. Oh, I forgot to mention that the gas man said that there was someone else listed paying the gas bill next door, not my landlords' name. Later the landlord said he would just pay the bill from the previous owner and never had it put in his name. He also told me someone committed suicide in my apartment years ago. An alcoholic who shot himself.

I also had a leaking gas problem at another apartment I rented later on and kept the valve off when I wasn't using it.

The millionaire landlord kept his side of the back porch looking like a junk yard. He saved everything. He even had old toilet seats stored there. He mowed the lawn ONCE a year. People thought I lived in an abandoned property. There were two mailboxes, one near his front door and one near my front door. He said he never got mail there, he has all his mail sent to the funeral home. Oh, and every piece of mail I ever got was already opened. I tried to get to my mail before my landlord did, thinking it was my landlord opening my mail since he lets himself in the apartment when I'm not there. I never met the mailman. Whoever he was was very fast. When I heard my mailbox I rushed to the mailbox to find all my mail already opened, so it was the mailman pre-opening my mail.

I also had a water problem there. My water bill was very high. The city said there must be a leaking pipe underneath the property and it was up to the property owner to fix it. Of course it was never fixed.

He was a millionaire because he was so cheap. He even drove an old white van instead of a normal car...I suppose to make people think he was poor.

So I am not surprised Notre Dame hasn't received a penny from the billionaires and millionaires yet. It makes sense that they would want to see and approve of the new architectural plans beforehand first.
