    President Trump

    President Trump said last night:
"We will never be a Socialist Country!"

Well, my question is, what is Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, Medical, welfare, public education and many many more up to 70 smaller ones?

Social security is a benefit provided by the people for the people. It isn't 'welfare', regardless of what those who oppose it try to convince others it is.

If both radical left and radical right politicians stopped trying to fraudulently undermine this valuable disability/retirement program, and condemning those who rightfully receive SSD/SSR payments, it will continue serving a useful purpose for many years to come.

However, the SSI version is the most widely abused SS benefit program. This covers anyone who hasn't even contributed financially to SS and have never worked a day in their lives.

The miscreants who make a tradition of producing illegitimate drug babies, for example, are some of the scumbags who take wrongful advantage of the SSI system.

[QUOTE=Gareth Lee Hunter;1263638]Social security is a benefit provided by the people for the people. It isn't 'welfare', regardless of what those who oppose it try to convince others it is.

Following is the reason why I believe that SS is welfare.
During my years of work I paid in $64,000. My employers paid in the same amount, so that is a total of $128,000.
I started collecting SS in 2002. So far I collected roughly $432,000 in 18years.

$432,000-$128,000= $304,000, that figure is welfare. Somebody has to pay for that.
Those that die before retirement age don't get a dime, they paid for those that retire after 65 and are living. It's a pyramid scheme.

Yes. The money is there, because it is being provided by each succeeding generation of working people who intend to participate in the program.

SS is still payed for and earned by its recipients, regardless of how many years they receive monthly payments from it. As opposed to welfare, such as food stamps, which is a charitable handout.

This should make any working person grind their teeth:

Congressional benefits, premium Federal healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, and unlimited paid sick days.

Now THAT is what I consider wasteful welfare being abused by lifetime politicians.

The taxable income for social security is now set @ $132,900 Max, it was $128,400 in 2017.
I believe that those making over $132,000 should continue to pay into the fund.
In other words the lower to upper middle class carries the taxation burden for SS.

What if that $128,000 was invested in a private retirement account? There would have been far more then $128,000 in it when you retired & possibly something left at your death to leave to your family.

America is a socialist/marxist nation. Except our politicians use terms like "progressive" or "liberal". FDR took created a socialist state but called it a "New Deal". The government can confiscate private property through taxation because the 16th Amendment allows the government to tax without limitations. The money supply is controlled via the Federal Reserve. Inflation is a tax on savings. And private property is controlled through regulations. Private contracts are controlled via civil rights laws. The US has been a social democracy for a 100 years.

I have a few CD's in my savings portfolio. I'm being taxed on my interests I make.
My SS check is not free either. Half of it is being taxed.
Years ago under President Carter, the first $2000 were not taxed. I liked that.
So how are the new tax breaks doing? Not so good, I have to pay more.

I'm so disgusted with all the fake news reports about the divisive objections purportedly made by "many Republicans" besides Democrats regarding President Trump's decision to declare a national emergency to build the wall, I'm not even going to post their flagrant lies here.

And for those scare mongers opposed to this perfectly legal executive decision declaring it sets a precedent for Democrats declaring emergencies concerning such matters as 'gun control' in the future is pure BS.

The border needs to be secured against illegal entry by criminal elements, and other undesirables seeking a free ride in America at taxpayer expense.

    Build the damn wall already!

Anyone reading Ann Coulter's Twitter feed? I've seen her pissed before, but not this pissed.

Gotta love the deal; $1.37 billion for border security (no wall), but $3 billion for migrant aid and another $5 billion for Israel, Jordan, and the Ukraine. Also includes massive expansion of the H1B visa program. Nice to see "our" leaders putting Americans first. And Republicans continue to do what they always do, loose graciously.

If he declares a national emergency and it stands in court, we'll have this to look forward to.

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said that by invoking a national emergency to build a border wall, Donald Trump would be setting a precedent that would allow a future Democratic president to do the same for gun control.

This post was in VDARE's Gab feed. Sums it up nicely:

Astonishing how Americans are essentially unrepresented in Congress. It's just a battleground for different foreign tribes, all of whom enjoy more rights and privileges than Americans do.
