"Democracy" is agreeable to those tyrants who program the masses like computers to do their bidding. The beauty of it all is, they only have to reach the 51% who are most susceptible to this programming. "Freedom of choice" is spoken of remarkably often by those who have the power to influence these choices to a profound degree.

They re-educated people under communism (using terrifying methods), they re-educated the Japanese after WW2, now they are of course doing the same thing, but in more 'subtle' ways...
Sometimes they still use terror, but more often they are more 'subtle'...
However, now they have so many means to re-educate and control people... From subliminal messages in mainstream music, to open propaganda... and there are so many ways... They use everything they can...

Nowadays 'democracy' is a very trendy word to use to justify any action a government may take... Well, not only today, as I said, the communists used the same term as well (and there are many examples like that in the communist era Romania, I'm sure not only there, but in other communist era countries too)...
Back in ancient Greece 'democracy' had a completely different meaning...
So what 'democracy' is today... seems more like a bad joke...
Unfortunately so many are buying this...
Ultimately is a matter of consciousness... but as the consciousness level of most people is today, you obviously can't have a real 'democracy' out of that... It's still control of the masses by propaganda, re-education and so on... and it will be like that forever, as long as the global consciousness stays on the same level (or less)...

Theres not much else to say that hasn't already been said. Democracy is just a code word for jewish rule.

Back then in ancient Greece "democracy" (was a Jewish invention), but democracy in ancient Greece was tax-paying citizens having not only the right, but the duty to vote and could be voted for. Every position ended after one year, at least in theory (one guy ruled a city for like 20 years), and there was a way to get rid off no longer wanted senators, which mostly ended in the banishment of the person in question from the city.Originally Posted by Vlfr
Oh yes, there was no "Greece", there was a collection of city states (Athens, Sparta etc) which were more often than not in war or conflict with each other. A city like Athens had about 100,000 inhabitans, 60,000 of them were slaves, and of the remaining 40,000 actual Greek citizens, about 10% were tax-paying citizens, so there were 4,000 who could play "democrazy"^^
Imho, this experiment was part of their downfall, because it preoccupied the actually productive and once guiding part of society with endless discussions, almost everyday meetings, hot debates about this or that unimportant detail all day long and creating divisions (today known as "parties", essentially lobby-groups) and confrontations, which forced people to pick sides. And while they bickered among each other, the Jews took over the cities and then the Romans came to take the rest.
Greece, as we know it today, is a very modern invention (somewhen post-Renaissance), and if anything, we should learn from them that even in this small setting of their city states democrazy (demos=people -> crazy or crazed people) did not work. It's merely a mechanism to create smokescreens and mirrors while people who are not elected act behind the scenes mostly to the detriment of the general public.
