Suicide of the West: Disney Chief Thinks Eliminating Children Is Good for Business

When Disney CEO Bob Iger threw in with the Hollywood radicals threatening to boycott Georgia for its new law outlawing aborting babies with a heartbeat, I was reminded of Wall Street Journal columnist James Taranto’s recurring theme in his original, great emailed daily newsletter, “Best of the Web Today,” that he called “The Roe Effect.”

Taranto’s thesis was that proportionally, Democrats were depriving themselves of future voters by promoting abortion as their sacrament, since the demographics of abortion would suggest that a majority of the aborted children were likely future Democrat voters.

Of course, to make up for that deficit, Democrats today are desperate to import voters, by any means necessary.

But sacrificing the long term for short-term benefit is what politicians do. Those votes are 20 years in the future, largely theoretical -- and there are feminist fanatics to placate next November!

Last week, Iger applied the Roe Effect to his business, adding his voice to the Hollywood Left threatening to boycott Georgia for passing a law that says a heartbeat in a baby is a sign of life.

So much for the “Party of Science.”

Iger’s moral blindness is a topic for another day. For a second, let’s stop and think about the sheer stupidity of this as a business decision, and what it says about the stranglehold the Culture of Death has on pop culture:

The CEO of a company that makes most of its money selling things to kids is hopping on the bandwagon to eliminate its customers.

And unlike those Democrat voters who are a couple of decades away, these are customers who will be demanding Disney products in their own voices in a couple of years!

In fact, those babies are customers pretty much the minute they leave the hospital.

And as a new grandfather, I have firsthand experience that babies are immediate customers of Disney, as I have changed Mickey Mouse diapers and onesies more times than I can count over the last five months.

So Georgia lawmakers have decided it is time to prohibit doctors from stopping a baby’s beating heart in the womb, and Hollywood has determined this is something they cannot abide. Saving these unborn beating hearts is a human rights outrage. The Handmaid’s Tale is right around the corner!

But Disney has no problems whatsoever filming in the following countries:

    Jordan

    Bolivia

    The United Arab Emirates

    China

Which of these countries does Disney think has a better human rights record than the state of Georgia?

I really can’t improve on what the Wall Street Journal editorial board said in calling out Bob Iger’s hypocrisy in doing business with the last country on the above list:

"More than a few Americans may also notice the contradiction that Disney is more worried about filming in a U.S. state that has passed a law democratically than it is operating its theme park and hawking its films in China, which uses facial-recognition software to monitor its population and has a million Uighurs in re-education camps."

Of course, we know that many Hollywood studios allow China to censor, or influence, the content of movies and television shows in order to be allowed into their vast market. That may be reprehensible, but at least it makes business sense. (Kudos to the superb Amazon show Bosch, and writer Michael Connelly for not buckling in this regard.)

Georgia also (stupidly) offers one of the most generous film subsidy and tax break schedules in the United States.

This means Bob Iger is willing to pay more in production costs in order to virtue signal to a bunch of reprobates that he is on board with eliminating as much of his customer base as possible.

What’s next? Rewriting the Bambi, Dumbo and Lion King birth scenes to discuss how they are only miraculous because of the mother’s choice?

Video Shows A Father Begging For His Child's Life Outside An Abortion Clinic. Leftists Respond With Mockery.

    Source: Dailywire

This week, as LifeNews reported, a heartbreaking video went viral on social media. It shows a man screaming in agony as he pleads for his child's life outside of an abortion clinic. The man is seen standing by the doors of the facility weeping and begging the mother not to "kill our baby."

As LifeNews notes, John Ryan, a pro-life activist, originally posted the footage of the incident which reportedly took place at the ironically named "Hope Clinic For Women" in Granite City, Illinois. Here's Ryan's description:

Fathers Day weekend nightmare. This father is kneeling at the doors of this abortion mill crying out hysterically for the life of his child. His name is Tyler. Mothers name is Abby. Please pray for him. He said Abby has been abused in her life and one of those involved in the abuse, her stepmother, is the one that brought her here to kill their child. He said she has three other children at home including a 4 1/2-year-old who is very much aware that mom is pregnant and looking forward to the birth of her sibling. He said they planned this baby. The baby at risk is 12 weeks old. In the attached videos you can hear this father crying out for his child’s life. It is heartbreaking. This is what a real father does when his child is in imminent danger

We may prefer to believe that something unique or rare is depicted here, but we kid ourselves. It may be uncommon to see this sort of drama play out so publicly, but behind closed doors many men have tried with equal desperation to save the lives of their unborn children. And, like the man in the video, many have found that their pleas fall on deaf ears. Unborn children are silent victims, but they are not the only ones. Men are often forced to watch helplessly as their offspring are taken in for execution.

The pro-abortion side would like us to think that all aborted children are "unwanted." In truth, no victim of abortion has ever been unwanted. Millions of them have been wanted by at least one of their parents. And those who are not wanted by either parent are still wanted by the countless families who wait for months or years for the chance to adopt. "Unwanted baby" is an empty category in this country.

The pro-abortion side would also like us to think that abortion is a "women's issue." This video reveals the profound flaw in that slogan. Three people are directly impacted by every abortion: the mother, the father, and the child. The woman obviously plays a crucial role in her own pregnancy, but she is not the only actor on the stage. If she were, she wouldn't be pregnant in the first place.

Pro-aborts know that their talking points shatter to pieces at the sight of a man crying out for his murdered child. That is why they have reacted so defensively, and callously, to the video. To survey the comments under the viral Twitter post and the original Facebook post is to stare right into the brutal and barbaric heart of abortion advocacy. Here is a quick sample of how pro-aborts have responded:

-Too bad, so sad. She’s not his f**king herb garden.

-He should get a goldfish instead, or find a girl that actually wants his kid.

-Well this is some controlling behavior.

-If he wants a baby, he can find a willing partner to gestate one. He does not get to force this woman to give birth because he wants a baby

-It's a man trying impose his will on a woman regarding the fetus in HER body. We don't know what kind of person he is. Is he going to stick around for the next 18 years? Is he abusive? A good provider? Lots of single moms get the "you shoulda picked better" stima when dads fail.

-Uh it’s not up to him? Lol

-does anyone actually cares about that woman's life? if she doesn't want a baby she doesn't want -one, no woman has the obligation to have a child bc her partner wants one, a baby must be desired by both parts.

-Here’s a thought, maybe he shouldn’t have gotten a woman who didn’t want a baby pregnant

-A great solution would be to make a child with a woman that actually consent to that I guess

-Dude should just buy a fleshlight next time then

-funny as sh*t. get over yourself it’s not your body. you want another kid? go adopt or find a surrogate. women aren’t f**king incubators

-Honestly he looks manipulative at the Max

-Guarantee you in a few years the same dude would be bitching about child support if she kept it

-Get the f**k over yourself dude. She already has kids. She clearly can't handle more. That's just how life works sometimes. It's not fun, it's not fair, but that's just how it goes.

That's a small sampling, not including the many mocking memes and GIFs. And I didn't have to go digging or cherrypicking to find these. The majority of comments seem to be in this vein. A man is devastated over the loss of his child, and this is how the pro-abortion side reacts.

As I have said many times, abortion advocacy takes a toll on your soul. You simply cannot be a loving and compassionate person while also supporting the mass slaughter of human beings. You may first wander into the "pro-choice" camp as a misguided yet basically decent person, but you cannot maintain that decency for very long if you stay there. You are forced to choose: abortion or your soul. The people in these comments, like so many other pro-aborts, have made their choice.

Grand jury clears woman who assaulted 82-year-old pro-lifer on video

June 27, 2019 (Live Action News) — According to WHAS, a Kentucky grand jury has decided not to indict a Louisville pro-abortion woman who assaulted an 82-year-old pro-life activist.

Thirty-two-year-old Janaya Alyce Gregory was caught on camera pushing Donna Durning outside of the state's only abortion clinic, EMW Women's Surgical Center, back in April. Durning was hospitalized with a broken femur and a cut to her head. She needed surgery and physical rehabilitation for the injuries.

According to Durning, she was offering Gregory a card for the local crisis pregnancy center when Gregory "charged" at her and pushed her to the ground. Despite the attack being caught on camera, the grand jury declined to indict Gregory, who was facing a second-degree assault charge.

In a bizarre Facebook post, Black Lives Matter Louisville celebrated the jury's decision and promoted a fund to help pay for Gregory's legal expenses. The website for the fund accuses Durning of staging the fall. Black Lives Matter Louisville attempts to justify the violence against a pro-life elderly woman, saying, "Women like Donna Durning think that it's adequate to perform violence outside of abortion clinics. They believe that folks seeking services for their reproductive health are disposable and warranted the violence that they perform because of their, protesters, religious views in the name of Christianity." In addition, they called the presence of pro-lifers outside the abortion facility "state sanctioned violence; domestic terrorism."

But Durning was not acting violently, and pro-life activists do not believe that anyone who obtains an abortion is "disposable." Quite the contrary. It is the abortion industry that carries out violence every single day through dismemberment and heart attack abortions on innocent preborn children. In addition, abortion directly targets Black lives, especially in New York City where more Black children are killed through abortion than are born.

Gregory's attorney said she is "relieved to have this situation behind her and is looking forward to focusing on her family."

Attacks against pro-lifers are increasing in number. One pro-abortion man recently received probation for roundhouse-kicking a pro-life woman in 2018. But, based on Gregory's case, it seems that the law is not always willing to protect pro-lifers who are assaulted. The rise in assaults against pro-lifers also highlights the reality that abortion is not a simple procedure, but one that causes emotions to run high.

This was a Negress attacking an elderly White Woman. Juries in Louisville-Jefferson County can be majority Negro since Negroes are more likely to be "available" for jury duty even though they are only 1/5 of the population. It was the grand jury that refused to indict. The Negroes in Louisville are out of control.

Abortion is useful for society as well as the more compassionate and moral option.

Forcing a child to be raised by an irresponsible and uncaring parent is child abuse.

Forcing a woman to raise a child as punishment for their bad behaviour, at the child's expense, when they're too irresponsible, too stupid or genuinely incapable of raising and financially supporting them, is similarly cruel and morally repugnant.

Even Europe's still overpopulated, for the benefit of the environment and for our own survival, it's time to be a little bit selective. Smart and talented people should be inspired and encouraged to raise children, instead of being driven to become "career women", as for abortion most who resort to it are either mentally unstable (i.e. psychotic feminists), rape victims or people genuinely incapable of raising them. Unfortunately many of the people who really should be having abortions (e.g. drug addicts, simpletons and other degenerates and wastes of space) don't.

We don't need our future generations to be generations of idiots and losers.

Those that shouldn't be having abortions are having abortions while
those that should be having abortions are having babies.

Our 'fake' government and politicians sanction this.

Scottish MP abandoned by party after voting pro-life, receiving rape images

EDINBURGH, Scotland, July 19, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) ― More details are emerging in the story of a Scottish M.P. who was threatened after voting against a bill that could override Northern Ireland’s pro-life abortion law.

Dr. Lisa Cameron, the Scottish National Party M.P. for East Kilbride, Strathaven, and Lesmahagow in southwest Scotland, said her decision to vote against the pro-abortion legislation stemmed from her experience of suffering two late-term miscarriages and her religious beliefs.

Cameron is a member of the Church of Scotland, which follows the Reformed Presbyterian tradition.

The Protestant M.P. told the Scottish Catholic Observer that although she began to receive “traumatic” and “horrific” abuse soon after the vote, the nastiness intensified when she explained her reasons on Facebook.

“As soon as I put the post up I was deluged by hateful responses,” she told the newspaper.

“People were really abusing me and my decision, saying that I endorse rape of women, sending me pictures of rape scenes and aborted foetuses and telling me I should be aborted myself.”

Cameron was surprised and disappointed when the SNP didn’t stand up for her against the abuse.

“I felt very alone and my family and I felt like we were left to deal with this ourselves, despite it being a vote of conscience,” she told the Catholic Observer.

SNP members were officially free to vote on the issue according to their consciences, but Cameron reported that afterward, party officials, including those who decide which members may stand for election, said they wanted her out of office. According to the Catholic Observer, Cameron stated that one SNP official had said nobody with pro-life beliefs should stand for election.

Bishop Hugh Gilbert, the president of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland, has written to SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, the first minister of Scotland, to express solidarity with Cameron and to request public assurances that pro-life SNP members will indeed be permitted to run for office.

Bishop John Keenan of Scotland’s Diocese of Paisley has also spoken out in defence of the Protestant M.P.

“When a woman politician is abused in this way — for example people calling for her to be aborted — then you would expect the leadership of the party to immediately come out and defend her publicly and offer her support,” he told the Catholic Observer.

“They should say, first of all, that Lisa was entitled as an M.P. to vote the way she did, and that her freedom to do so is respected within the party and that they deplore anyone who would have abused her.”

“We hear there are suggestions that elements of her local party have begun a campaign to deselect her because she voted pro-life. It would be unacceptable for the SNP to do so and it would suggest that the SNP is a de facto pro-abortion party.”

Catholics, although only 15% of the Scottish population, may have played a decisive role in the SNP’s landslide win over the Labour Party north of the border in 2015, as 48% of them indicated that they would vote SNP. In 2016, Scottish Catholic composer James MacMillian criticized the Scottish Catholic Church for maintaining close ties with the secessionist party and suggested the SNP had “played” the Church “for useful fools.”
