    Moon Landing was FAKE

Even today NASA don't have the technology to land on the moon or beam back the signals.

I'm still struggling with that moon landing after working in the aerospace industry for over 30 years.

I'm getting so tired of this "Everything is fake!!11 We are lied to every second of the day." conspiracy nonsense. Every twat with a Youtube account, access to Wikipedia and corresponding sciolism finds some gullible people nowadays, who are all too eager to believe it. "I'm not believing thousand experts who have actually studied the matter but will believe any random on the web because he knows da wae."

Can we focus on the important things, like, you know, our physical survival, instead of alienating (thinking) people needlessly with stuff like hollow earth, flat earth, "humans are no major driver on climate change", phantom time hypothesis, "contrails are chemtrails", "Nordic/Nordid people existed already 10.000 years ago or even since time immemorial and fell from the sky"(not even a position of the physical anthropologists of old and refuted by ancient DNA), "the moon and the ISS are projected onto the sky", lizard people, "vaccinations cause autism", "the moon landing is fake" and God knows what else people can cook up.

Being sceptical and the quest for truth are valuable and important but there is a border across which you wander into the realm of utter ridiculousness.

Wow! Some guy, who's experience with radiowaves & physics likely doesn't extent beyond his smart phone, just proved the Moon landing was fake! I wonder what his undergraduate degree was in? Likely something as worthless as Black Studies.

    What was important in receiving the broadcast from the moon was the satellite dish receiving the signal. NASA has some very advanced dishes for receiving signals from Space;

Unlike the tiny satellites made to receive TV signals these don't go out in the rain. As for dark zones concerning mobile phone technology this is because the terrestrial towers used for cellphone technology have limits on earth, depending on power (wattage) used, height & topography. Satellite phones are actually better as far as getting a signal but much more expensive. Same thing with television. If VHF or UHF were broadcast from satellite (at a large wattage) everyone would get a great signal - without a satellite dish. But there are only 67 frequencies (on the North American allocation) so that would be the maximum number of tv stations for the entire Western Hemisphere.

Instead of proving the Moon Landing was fake all this jackass did was prove that anyone can use social media to spread any lie and get others to believe it! "Look! There's the proof, there's the proof!". And because so many people are programmed not to think, anymore, they believe it out of fear of looking ridiculous in the eyes of other idiots!

I agree with your general sentiment, Juthunge, as to where our focus should be - and that dwelling on fringe ideas will attract the wrong crowd or no crowd at all. But don't become a victim of your own down-to-earth personality - question "everything". I usually find that people who scoff at conspiracy theories simply know nothing about them - dismissing them out of hand - and that's wilful ignorance. It is okay to have a life outside of politics, too.

Legitimate questions exist - and everyone, yes everyone, believes in at least one conspiracy theory - you didn't mention 9/11 and isn't it because you have at the very least serious doubts about the event yourself? It's harder to believe the official narrative as it requires more mental gymnastics than to believe the more logical conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11. There are many serious questions surrounding the Moon Landing too (watch "A funny thing happened on the way to the Moon" to get your feet wet, if you ever feel the desire - but be aware there's much more convincing stuff out there than that docu) - I'm not fully decided myself, but that's because I've been following the debate for many years. I'm sure that if you look into the issue you'll come across oddities yourself that you can't explain away. Astronauts may have been to the Moon, but some of the footage and photos we've seen of the event are definitely fake - and we may even know why - as friends and relatives of Stanley Kubrick claim he worked on a government project at the time (filming a moon landing in a studio), he was responsible for plan B in case the moon landings became a disaster. According to them, the footage got mixed up with the real thing which was inexplicably filmed with late twenties technology (lol, hmm - as if better cameras weren't available in 1969!), hence the rubbish footage - but it could explain a few things.

As an aside: have you ever seen an undoctored NASA photo of deep space? It looks very different when not photoshopped. Less inviting. Not a joke. Quasi every photo NASA shares with the world is worked on. Fact.

Some of the world's best scientists can't explain our moon, why it even exists, why it's there where it should exactly be to nurture human life on our planet, why craters appear and disappear overnight, and 100s of other questions. Nothing about our Moon makes any sense - and some of the world's brightest minds - including the very best - have suggested that indeed, the Moon is hollow. The Moon and Moon lore, both ancient and modern, are worth looking into. It's the Faustian thing to do.
“Individuals trapped in a dying culture live in a twilight world. They embrace death through infertility, concupiscence, and war. A dog will crawl into a hole to die. The members of sick cultures do not do anything quite so dramatic, but they cease to have children, dull their senses with alcohol and drugs, become despondent, and too frequently do away with themselves. Or they make war on the perceived source of their humiliation.”
    — David P. Goldman, as quoted by Jack Donovan in The Way of Men.

You know I love "conspiracy theories", but with this I must cut you short

OF COURSE the pictures are worked on, because on the original "picture" you would see nothing. They're recorded in ultra-violet spectrum, electromagnetism intensity, radiowaves etc, all the things that one cannot see, but which are there nonetheless.

Now, the thing is that every physical element has a unique signature in light, radiowaves, electromagnetism etc, so when you assign a likewise unique colour to the physical elements and render the data from the "image" with that pattern, the result is one of these great colourful pictures.

The colours tell something about the physical elements contained in a galaxy, nebular, or even in between

This is a visualisation of the "filament structure" between galaxies. With bare eyes this of course would be completely invisible, since it's electromagnetic energy. So in order to make it visual, you have to "tinker" with the image. It's not done without system or randomly, physicists can read something out of them, and it certainly looks far greater and awe-inspiring this way than an endless row of measurement digits that run through on your screen

Sure Velvet, but a disclaimer from NASA would be nice. As things stand, people have a mistaken view of space thanks to them consequently publishing doctored images. You can still see plenty of things on the original ones, it would be nice if they showed those too. But the universe sure looks less majestic and inviting in black and white. I don't think this is a conspiracy as such though.

While I'm open to the moon landings being faked (in consideration for Hoerbiger's theory), flat earth is an indisputable myth (appeals to logic and sophistry over plain observation) and the moon landings usually coincide with it (both argue that the ruling powers are hiding the truth of this world from us. If they're so omniscient, why resist them?)

These theories are usually calculated to make people want no laws or rulers or government or hierarchy, as typically found in the Leftist slant and even in pagan circles. We want no gods presiding over us, even if the gods were just human beings found on a higher level of development. We can manage our own affairs... If all the good people come together and vanquish the bad people, we can have a paradise on earth. True Christianity, communism, capitalism, etc. has yet to be realized, it's the fault of [Stalin, Pope, the people] that the system failed.

And that's why we've been left to ourselves for centuries, incapable of settling on a final system. As Plato pointed out in The Republic, sentimentality transitions from dictatorship, democracy, oligarchy, communism, etc. without realizing it. IIRC Aristotle argued that a synergy between these systems produced the best system. To call back the gods does not mean seeking refuge in symbols and abstract concepts or reverting back to the comfortable primitiveness of the churches. The gods are here among us, they just need to be stirred up from their slumber. If one or ten Germans who truly understood this were to regularly visit their forests, fields, meadows, and mountains, they'd eventually experience a transformation like the one Kubizek ascribed to Hitler.

I concur. People rely too much on videos and encyclopedias. It's easier than developing the art of reading and systematizing facts (treating facts as pieces to a mosaic, not as an end in itself). But it's also a problem when people elevate "experts" as absolute authorities. I've encountered that kind of attitude in my debates on here. Neither historians nor revisionists are in a position to gauge the reliability of literature. We need specialized people for that (philologists like Nietzsche).

The best argument against flat earth imo is linking it up with the ancient Greek sophistry (i.e. Protagoras):

In the Phaedon, for example, Platon relates that Sokrates had admitted that he possessed no aptitude for investigation of organic events. The true nature of things for Sokrates therefore consisted ultimately not in their investigation by observation, but in our thinking about them. One should not ruin one’s eyes by viewing things to excess. If man wishes to discover whether the earth is flat or round then it does not suit him to carry on research. Rather, he should ask: What does reason say of this? Is it rational to conceive the earth as the centre of the universe?
    - Rosenberg, Der Mythus

Socrates’ decadence is suggested not only by the admitted wantonness and anarchy of his instincts, but also by the overdevelopment of his logical ability and his characteristic thwarted sarcasm. Nor should we forget those auditory hallucinations which, as “the daimonion of Socrates,” have been given a religious interpretation.
    - Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols
