Do You Consider the Åland Islands a Viking Area?

Åland islands are autonomous part of Finland. Islands are between Sweden and Finland.

No matter what ... they have annually Vikings Markets in Åland.

I don't know much about Åland's history, but considering they're close proximity to mainland Sweden, it's fair to assume there was a lot of Vikings active there. As to the pre-Viking Age native population, they may very well have been Finnish as well as Norse.

How do you view the Ålanders, FS?
A nation is an organic thing, historically defined.
A wave of passionate energy which unites past, present and future generations

I love Åland & Ålanders (I have some relatives living there ... from my mom's side). Plus friends.

    Midsummer party:

Plus Åland doesn't belong to EU (like Finland or Sweden).

Sure. Opposite to mainland (Finland) ... no Finns pagan gods marks have been found from Åland; just Vikings gods.

Don't let that picture get too far, every single male Skadi member will be booking the next boat ride.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

Oh, sorry. Did't mean it that way. And I'm sure they can easily find similar girls to themselves from everywhere.

Whole Åland and its only city (Mariehamn) are silence, peaceful places (''rhythm of lifes'')... as I live in country sides (Ostrobothnia) and I'm outdoor person ... I simply love Åland. But for some others it can be too ''sleepy'' place. Whole population is just 29 700 (in Mariehamn 11 700).

    Mariehamn:

As I said .... Åland doesn't belong to EU, and as they have limited Finns rights to move/live there (to protect their culture and language) ....they don't either have much of immigrants living there. But every ''paradise'' has its ''snakes'' and ''rats'', right? Above the 2. photo of Mariehamn shows those. See those huge ferries (up of the photo).

Several big car ferries are travelling between Sweden and Finland (non-stop) and many of those will stop in Åland/Mariehamn.
    .
If those ferries are full ... each of them will have some 1500 - 2200 passengers. Now keep in minds the whole population of Åland islands 29 700 (Mariehamn 11 700). Get the point?

Today those car ferries are full of refugees .... and one can easily see & face muslims in Mariehamn

=> not a huge surprise ... the numbers of rapes have also increased clearly in Åland .
