Exclamation Human Phenotypes (the Best Physical Anthropology Site)

    Human Phenotypes

This is really an extensive site (this site alone is ranked higher than the whole of Skadi lol)

There are two levels of detail: On the meta-level 38 basic types are described, that were sometimes called human "subraces". On the detailed level more than 200 local varieties are shown. Please note that the maps and most descriptions refer to the distribution around the year 1500 before the processes of colonisation and globalisation. The yellow color indicates that a type is common, the dark yellow that it is occasionally found, and the black that it is rarely found. For more details, see the methodological section.

How were some of the physical types so detailed as to the exact locations they could be found? Its quite a lot of work to pinpoint the exact locations of a particular phenotype. I don't know anything but I can only guess that he might have read a ton of literature where it gave information on the places where those types were commonly or occasionally found. Some of the maps were a bit hard to decipher but I was surprised to find certain types being found in far off places that I would have never otherwise thought even if they are only found occasionally or in mixed degrees.

Excellent site what shows all the phenotypes of the mankind, including the mythical Nordid type.
