Using bookmarklets in Mozilla
Bookmarklets are great ways to get rid of all the annoyance of surfing the web.
It can be used to make sites with worthless design readable and can help avoid monotonous work, like opening all the links or images on a homepage.
Check out this site:
Pornzilla: Porn surfing redefined
http://www.squarefree.com/pornzilla/
(it does not contain any "adult" content)
Sorry for the topic on that website, but it gives an idea of what bookmarklets can be used for. Click the bookmarklet link under the headline with the same name and you'll find more.
Some examples of bookmarklets I especially like:
zap
to get rid of all annoying distractions on a homepage, like flash and java
babelfish
translates the current page through Babelfish. It goes so much faster than opening new tabs, pasting link etc.
linked images
to open a window showing all images linked to on the current homepage
linearize
to "linearize" all the text of the page and remove non-text elements. Invaluable when copying text etc.
Bookmarklets along with Mozilla extensions are so great!
