The idea of simply buying chicken, beef is interesting to try for awhile. Maybe add some broccoli to the mix.

We bought a side of beef from a family I know that raises their own cattle so my shopping time is drastically reduced.
That's one thing I loved about it as well. What's for dinner? ...BEEF!

Buying meat by bulk is definitely a good way to cut costs, if one has enough room in the freezer. I didn't have that luxury, and kept to buying meat close its expiration date on discount. Probably didn't spend more than 10-12 USD on food a day.

How would you say you feel different? And how has your appearance changed?

One small side-effect I noticed while living on the carnivore diet, is that I would subconsciously clench my jaw muscles from time to time during the day. Nothing that really bothered me in any way, but I thought it was a bit peculiar. Also experienced a noticeable drop in body fat as well as a little bit of added muscle, which seems to be normal.

My skin, hair, nails and teeth are all improved as well as body composition. I’ve lost fat and gained muscle with out increasing exercise. I was on the higher end of normal with a BMI of about 24 and now I’m BMI 22 without trying to lose weight. The increased mental well-being is the best part for me though. I do think a person can experience increased adrenaline during the adaptation phase so that could be the cause of the jaw clenching. I feel pretty well adapted after 5 months but the first month or two was a bit challenging at times.

I guess I take being the strongest, healthiest and best version of myself that I can be seriously.
The couple that originally inspired me in 2018 is Joe and Charlene Andersen. They have been eating only beef for over 20 years. He’s in his early 60’s and she is mid 40’s!
