That's something our hospital staff and police were quite familiar with. Police and White colleagues look away nowadays.
Still not the nicest thing to have those folks around, unless you can stomach some occasional violence of course. As one should.

Ten charts on the rise of knife crime in England and Wales

After falling for several years, knife crime in England and Wales is rising again. So what is happening?

There were 43,516 knife crime offences in the 12 months ending March 2019.

This is an 80% increase from the low-point in the year ending March 2014, when there were 23,945 offences, and is the highest number since comparable data was compiled.

These statistics do not include those from Greater Manchester Police because of data recording issues.

Out of the 44 police forces, 43 recorded a rise in knife crime since 2011.

Police figures are prone to changes in counting rules and methods, but data for NHS hospitals in England over a similar period showed an 8% increase in admissions for assault by a sharp object, leading the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to conclude there had been a "real change" to the downward trend in knife crime.

Doctors said the injuries they were treating were becoming more severe and the victims were getting younger, with increasing numbers of girls involved.

All of the statistics here relate to England and Wales. Policing, criminal justice and sentencing are devolved in Scotland and Northern Ireland, which also collect crime data in slightly different ways.

In the latest figures, which include only selected knife offences, about half, 21,700, were assaults that caused an injury or where there was an intent to cause serious harm; a further 20,172 involved robberies.

These figures focus on homicides, or killings, a category comprising cases of murder, manslaughter and infanticide. In about two out of every five killings, the victim was fatally assaulted with a sharp object or stabbed to death.

The number of knife-related homicides went from 272 in 2007 to 186 in 2015. Since then it's risen every year, with a steep increase in 2017-18, when there were 285 killings, the highest figure since 1946.

One in four victims were men aged 18-24.

The figures also show 25% of victims were black - the highest proportion since data was first collected in 1997.

Although knife crime is on the increase, it should be seen in context. It's relatively unusual for a violent incident to involve a knife, and rarer still for someone to need hospital treatment.

Most violence is caused by people hitting, kicking, shoving or slapping someone, sometimes during a fight and often when they're drunk; the police figures on violence also include crimes of harassment and stalking.

The Crime Survey for England and Wales, which includes offences that aren't reported to police, indicates that overall levels of violence have fallen by about a quarter since 2013.

However, the police-recorded statistics - which tend to pick up more "high harm" crimes - have indicated that the most serious violent crime is increasing.

In the year to March 2019, 22,041 people were cautioned, reprimanded or convicted for carrying a knife in England and Wales, most of whom were adults. But one in five - 4,451 - was under the age of 18.

Knife crime tends to be more prevalent in large cities, particularly in London.

For every 100,000 people in the capital, there were 169 knife offences in 2018-19.

In 2018, figures from the mayor's office showed that young black and minority ethnic teenage boys and men were disproportionately affected, as both victims and perpetrators.

The Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner Cressida Dick has said tackling violence in London is her "priority".

Next highest was the North West, with 93 knife offences per 100,000 population, and Yorkshire and the Humber, 86.

The explanations for rising knife crime have ranged from police budget cuts, to gang violence and disputes between drug dealers.

Some have also cited the steep decline in the use by police of stop and search.

The powers enable officers to search people on the street if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they may be carrying weapons, illegal drugs, stolen property or items to be used to commit a crime. People can also be searched without reasonable grounds if a senior officer believes there's a risk of serious violence in a particular area.

From 2009, the number of stops fell sharply across England and Wales, especially in London, primarily because of concerns that the measures unfairly targeted young black men, wasted police resources and were ineffective at catching criminals.

Theresa May, as home secretary, led efforts to drive down the number of stops, but there's anecdotal evidence from police that young people are now more inclined to carry knives because of growing confidence they won't be stopped.

The statistical basis for that is far from clear - but Scotland Yard, with the mayor of London's support, has begun increasing the use of stop and search again.

Since 2010, police numbers have decreased by almost 20,000.

    Prime Minister Theresa May
has said there is no "direct correlation" between the rise in knife crime and a fall in police numbers, but the issue is contested.

In 2018, a Home Affairs Committee report said police forces were "struggling to cope" amid falling staff numbers and a leaked Home Office document said they had "likely contributed" to a rise in serious violent crime.

The average prison term for those jailed for carrying a knife or other offensive weapon has gone up from almost five months to well over eight months, with 85% serving at least three months, compared with 53% only 10 years ago.

Sentences for all kinds of violent crime have been getting tougher, particularly for knife crime. The Ministry of Justice tracks the penalties imposed for those caught carrying knives and other offensive weapons in England and Wales.

In the year ending December 2018, 37% of those dealt with were jailed and a further 18% were given a suspended prison sentence. The figures for 2008, when the data was first compiled, were 20% and 9% respectively. Over the same period, there's been a steady decline in the use of community sentences, and a sharp drop in cautions, from 30% to 11%.

Public anxiety about knife crime, legislative changes and firmer guidance for judges and magistrates have led to the stiffer sentences, although offenders under 18 are still more likely to be cautioned than locked up.

£45,000 per person place per year in 2019 for prison.
Sentences aren't a deterrent because the government doesn't want to spent the money on longer sentences which would deter offenders.

Tottenham thug who severed victim's artery in stabbing attack at a bus stop

Taner Saltan has never explained why he carried out the vicious attack.

A Tottenham man who was part of a gang of four who pulled up at a bus stop and attacked three friends in a terrifying unexplained assault has been pictured for the first time. One of those targeted was stabbed in the groin by Taner Saltan, 28, which slashed an artery and he was left bleeding in the middle of the street. The victim, then aged 39, was clinically dead for 20 minutes due to the amount of blood loss but paramedics miraculously managed to bring him back to life and he's made a full recovery.

The three friends had been out celebrating
Christmas Day in 2019 and were at a bus stop in Green Lanes, Palmers Green at 1.30am on Boxing Day when they were attacked. Saltan, from Northumberland Grove inTottenham, was in the car with three others that pulled up next to them. The main victim was punched to the ground by one man and his friends were chased away. A short while later the victim, who had managed to get back to the bus stop, was set upon again by three of the group, including Saltan. The victim ran towards Sidney Avenue but was overcome by the group.

Saltan was caught on CCTV hitting the man several times in the groin with a stabbing motion while one of the other men punched the victim. Saltan was seen dragging the victim out of the road before he and the two other men walked away, leaving their victim bleeding in the street. Met Police and London Ambulance Service were called and found the victim with two stab wounds that had severed an artery and caused a catastrophic bleed.

Paramedics performed life saving surgery in the street

A tourniquet was applied and, although the victim was clinically dead for 20s minutes, paramedics managed to bring him back to life by performing surgery and heart massage in the street. He was taken to hospital and has since made a full recovery.

Meanwhile, in order to evade capture, Saltan fled the country to Switzerland on an unknown date. He was arrested at Heathrow on May 26, 2020 after flying back from Zurich. He gave a no comment interview and has never explained to officers why he viciously attacked his victim, who he had never seen before. Saltan eventually pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and possessing a sharp pointed article in a public place at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, August 14, 2020. On Thursday, July 1 he was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of seven years and four months for the vicious attack.

Detective Constable Sipho Gumpo, who led the investigation, said: "This was a merciless attack and it was extremely lucky that the victim pulled through after his ordeal.

“Not once has Saltan uttered a word of explanation, or remorse, for his crime. He will now have time in prison to think about that night and I hope, at some point, it dawns on him what a cowardly and horrific thing he did. “The victim has since made a full recovery and, while this sentence won’t ever make this right, I am glad we’ve been able to secure justice for him. "The Met will continue to work tirelessly to identify and pursue offenders, help bring perpetrators to justice, take weapons off the street, support victims and keep our communities safe. I hope that this sentencing at least makes people realise that, if you carry a knife, you will suffer consequences. Not only do you ruin others' lives, you risk ruining your own.”

Man Stabbed to Death After Defending Teen Daughter From ‘Group of Youths’

Khan’s London: Man Stabbed to Death After Defending Teen Daughter From ‘Group of Youths’

Two teenagers have been arrested and police have appealed for witnesses after a father was stabbed to death near his home after, reports claim, he stepped in to protect his young daughter from being harassed by a gang.

James Markham, 45, was stabbed on Monday in Chingford, north-east London. When police and paramedics attended the scene they attempted to revive Mr Markham but he was found to have been stabbed in the lung and died at the scene.

Two 14-year-old boys, who have not been named by police, have been arrested over the circumstances of his death, one on suspicion of murder and the second on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. The age of the alleged killers involved is so young, London police took the step Wednesday night of appealing to local parents to assist officers. Detective Inspector John Marriott, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “I know that there were a number of people present at the time of the murder. I want them to come forward.

“I also believe there will be parents who know that their child was there, or was involved. I am appealing for them to do the sensible thing and get in touch with us.”

Police said it was their belief that Mr Markham was confronting a “group of youths causing a disturbance” when he was attacked. London’s The Daily Telegraph has reported that the “disturbance” in question was the gang of youths harassing the man’s 17-year-old daughter and that he had stepped in to defend her. The report states the gang were swinging metal poles at the girl and shouting abuse.

James Markham is the 49th person known to have been stabbed to death in Mayor Khan’s London this year, an ongoing crimewave that has intensified over the time of Khan’s tenure and yet hardly figured in the recent election campaign where he secured another four years to run the city.

    Police
described the recent Bank Holiday weekend as relentlessly violent, with five people killed in just four days. The deaths included stabbings and a shooting. In tragically ironic circumstances, another victim of London’s violent crimewave was stabbed to death in April while attending a memorial to an earlier stabbing victim.

Who were these youths? Want to bet it's likely they have an 'immigrant background' or the like?

    Were the teenagers black?

Will we ever know? Perhaps when these ferals reach the age of 18.

    No he's a Globalist Marxist.

This is the cesspit we now live in. It's the cesspit we've allowed the lefties in charge to create.
Anyone who has any ideas that this society is going to end up in any state other than a huge stinking schittpile is delusional. It's all downhill from here so I'm just waiting for the police to finally give up any pretence at keeping order so I can go out and literally fight for my rights and throw out all those that don't belong here. Those responsible for this mess will be thrown down the nearest hole.

An almost total boycott of stories involving the white victims of attacks whereas cases involving black and minority ethnic victims are widely reported

How long before these two are out? Next time it's less likely they will be caught.

14-Year-Old Yussuf Mustapha Sentenced to Life for Shooting Schoolmate to Death in Birmingham

14-Year-Old Yussuf Mustapha Sentenced to Life for Shooting Schoolmate to Death in Birmingham

A 14-year-old migrant, Yussuf Mustapha, is believed to be Britain’s youngest convicted gun murderer after he was found guilty of killing a classmate in Birmingham with the help of four other youths.

On Monday, the Birmingham Crown Court lifted reporting restrictions, allowing the identity of Yussuf Mustapha, aged 14, to be revealed after he was given a life sentence with a minimum of 16 years in prison for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and the murder of 15-year-old Keon Lincoln.

The victim, Keon Lincoln, was said to have been stabbed eight times before being fatally shot in the abdomen by Yussuf Mustapha, who came to England from his birthplace Italy, according to Sky News.

The 14-year-old was convicted alongside co-defendants Tahjgeem Breaken-Ridge, 18, and Michael Ugochukwu, 18, who were both sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 19 years.

Kieron Donaldson, aged 18, was sentenced to 12 years for manslaughter, with a minimum sentence of eight years after he supplied the weapons used in Lincoln’s murder.

Michael Ugochuckwu and Tahjgeem Breaken-Ridge, West Midlands Police.

    Kieron Donaldson, West Midlands Police.

Detailing the murder, the West Midlands Police
wrote that on January 21st Keon was talking with a friend outside of his house when a car pulled up, several youths jumped out and began chasing him, stabbing him from behind. “A shot rang out missing Keon, but he stumbled and fell. Another shot hit him in the stomach and the pack surrounded him attacking with machetes and large hunting knives where he lay,” the police force said.

A local nurse, as well as his mother and sister, attempted to help the boy as he lay bleeding out on the street. Keon later died in hospital. The presiding judge in the case, Lord Justice William Davis, said that the murder was “carefully planned and executed,” saying: “It’s quite clear that all who came from the car were party to the use of the gun.” The scourge of teenage knife crime has increasingly ravaged British streets. Demonstrating the scale of the issue, St John’s Ambulance announced earlier this year that they would begin offering inner-city teens courses in how to treat stab wounds.

Commenting on the death of her child, Keon’s mother Charmaine said: “I would not wish this suffering on anyone and I can only hope that a day will come when the senseless murdering of children, will come to an end. “I’m in a nightmare that I cannot wake up from. My heart is broken beyond repair. A piece of my soul has been taken from me. “I see my baby boy’s face as he lay slumped on the ground struggling to breathe. “I hear the words ‘his heart has stopped’. I miss my boy so much that it physically hurts."

It has, and your government does not care one ounce either.

16-years for murder therefore he'll be out by the time he's 30 and just look at the other zoo creatures leaving the "British" tax payer with an annual £200k bill to pay for their upkeep.

Another example of the "benefits of diversity and multi-cultural enrichment"!
Yet all the public authorities seem to care about is banning a word like "Christmas" in case somebody is offended by it!
