    Facebook Actively Suppressing Conservative Content

Facebook has launched a campaign across Europe to prevent extremist posts on social media, pledging $1.09 million to organizations that work to curtail racism and xenophobia online, Reuters reported. The social network's Initiative for Civil Courage Online campaign went live Monday in Berlin.

The move comes after German lawmakers raised concerns about the increase in xenophobic posts related to the refugee crisis. Germany and other European countries have provided asylum to thousands trying to escape the conflict in the Middle East and the horrors of the Islamic State group, aka ISIS.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg told Reuters hateful language "has no place in our society," including in the realms of social media.

Facebook already has guidelines in place that ban bullying, harassment and threatening language, but the social platform's commitment to the campaign will reinforce its opposition to incendiary speech, according to Mediaite. The organizations hired Bertelsmann to monitor racist posts from Facebook users in Germany.

In September, German Chancellor Angela Merkel reportedly confronted Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg about xenophobia on the social network, Bloomberg reported. Zuckerberg was heard telling Merkel: "We need to do some work" on preventing anti-immigrant posts amid the refugee crisis.

    I just moved to Minds.com and VK.com.

For sure I will lose some FB "friends" in the beginning that will not join the move, but freedom is more important.

On May 9, 2016, Gizmodo reported that Faceberg’s off-center “trending” stories column involves a bit more human input than the social network implies in its boilerplate description. An apelike rather than algorithmic set of curators allegedly suppress conservative news outlets and points of view from being shown to hundreds of millions of daily viewers, many of whom use Faceberg as their primary news source. Confirming this rumor—at least when it comes to human involvement in content curation—are document leaks from former Faceberg employees to The Guardian, which show that there is indeed a 24-hour rotating team of news editors.

They rely on ten news sites—BBC News, CNN, Fox News, The Guardian, NBC News, The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Yahoo News, and Yahoo—to determine if something is trending, and have a framework for inserting stories they find relevant or important, allegedly even those which are not trending or being talked about. The leakers, who are anonymous, claim that conservative voices are a minority on the clickbait eboard, and that depending on who is curating the column at a given time, certain topics are blacklisted. Faceberg CEO Mark Zuckerberg denies any bias of coursh, and also plans to reach out to “leading conservatives” for some kind of dialog, an odd concession that seems imply the social network’s guilt.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Anyone who has been checking Faceberg on a daily basis—some people on multiple accounts—are very much aware of what goes on and how formulaic “trends” are. Let’s dispel with this fiction that it’s all a coincidence. There will usually be some kind of vaguely or very anti-Trump or anti-Republican headline, perhaps unavoidable given that Trump has been covered in the news nonstop since last summer. Then there will be more neutral or favorable headlines about Clinton or Sanders. Most glaringly, there will be headlines about whatever leftist pet cause interested Faceberg’s curators that day, especially from feminist and pro-LGBT perspectives, or documentations of perceived “racism” in some aspect of our culture—I feel like every week I learn a different cultural product or institution is “too White.”

I suspect hard-left interest stories are the most likely to be curated of all the trending stories. These overt causes célčbres seldom have a national or global impact and no one will care in 24 hours outside of diehard circles. “Brave” members of protected classes doing current-year shit somewhere online or in meatspace is really not need-to-know news for the ill-informed public or something most people express an interest in without being conditioned to. Neither are famous persons’ opinions on things well outside their field of subject matter expertise or relevance. There is no inherent reason why it should be in the daily digest of hundreds of millions of people who will likely only read less than five stories about the world that day when there are much more important and non-ideological news items. It isn’t electoral politics, government, sports, entertainment, etc.; it is signal news. You like it and share it for points with your peers.

One could imagine a movement conservative version of the trend column including stories about Israel, megachurch sermons, or the activities of the NRA in a friendly light. But of course, we don’t really see this at all; Faceberg is one-sided. After having your fix of what liberals want you to read about in terms of political and cultural news, there will sometimes be some brain-dead, degenerate celebrity stories which really ought to be of no consequence to the rest of us. It only serves to blunt and distract readers’ minds. Finally, to round things out, there are usually sportsball or local crime headlines. Some things have not changed from print.

What Faceberg has at its disposal is a power no single entity on earth has wielded since probably the pre-Reformation Roman Catholic Church; the ability to unilaterally set the Overton window for entire strata of the population. With 61% of millennials saying they get political news from the platform, it is the homily of the 21st century, or perhaps, the rabbinical dialogue. And mind you, these are the same people who also consider ((((The Daily Show)))) and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver to be authoritative sources of news and truth—and both shows entirely rest on the paradigm of “I can’t believe people think x in the year y.”

Facebook has the capacity to shape people’s paradigms in a way that is revolutionary. It is essentially the nuclear ICBM of metapolitical warfare. Whoever is at the helm can literally pick an idea, an opinion, or a narrative that they want hundreds of millions of people to passively ingest and just bomb them with it, leaving behind a fiery column of upvotes and signaling that sears the flesh of the nation and humbles it before a belligerent and hostile institution. It is extremely potent and dangerous, and a power we can only dream about having for ourselves.

But something the alt-right’s huwhyte supreme meme team has discovered over the last year about social media—especially on Twitter—is that there are sewers running into Fort Echo Chamber. They may hate us and want to no-platform us, but they can’t resist covering us, which means we can essentially get these people to quote us verbatim and saturate cyberspace with our opinions. Through the power of meme magick and guerilla troll tactics against media personalities, hashtags, and trending topics, we have had more mainstream coverage than ever before. Last summer’s #cuckservative blew up and got famous alt-right hairstylist Richard Spencer in the New York Times. Trump retweets alt-right and White nationalist Twitter accounts (though his team will sometimes delete them). This is the man who might be President next year. I believe it is really only a matter of time before you log into Facebook one day and see the alt-right on the front page. And while most of the millions of people that will read it will just be triggered (which is great), there will be people for whom that is the start of their blackpilling (which is even better). Praise Kek.

Countries with the Most Blocks on Facebook Content

That's what the social network's regular transparency reports reveal. Often posts are deleted or blocked in certain countries.

n fifth position: Israel. Here, this happened 431 times last year. Often this was connected to denials of the Holocaust.

At number 4 is Germany. The amount of blocked content increased massively last year. Extreme right-wing posts and hate speech were the most affected. But in absolute terms, the numbers remain low - 554 blocks in total.
In third place is Turkey. The Turkish government doesn't exactly promote freedom of expression on Facebook. Especially when it comes to Kurdish symbols and the protection of national security. Posts about certain people are also closely watched. Over 6,500 posts were removed last year.

The runner-up is India where the government pays close attention to anti-religious posts and hate speech. Over 30,000 facebook entries have been blocked.

In the top spot is France. Nearly 38,000 pieces of content were blocked last year. Some 32,000 of them were copies of the same photo from the terrorist attack on the Paris concert hall, the Bataclan, last November.

Is Facebook 'Championing' Blasphemy Laws Across Europe?

What is "harmful content" according to the new Facebook guide for Muslims? "Islamophobia, anti-Muslim hatred, far right extremism and terrorist inspired violent extremist content".

The guide does not mention Islamic incitement to violence, which is rampant on social media and -- unlike the other content mentioned -- has deadly and tragic consequences in the real world. Most of those who perpetrate terrorist attacks in the real world are Muslims -- not "Islamophobes," anti-Muslims or right wing extremists.

Lakin v. Facebook is a lawsuit, representing 20,000 Israeli plaintiffs, which aims to stop Facebook from "allowing Palestinian terrorists to incite violent attacks against Israeli citizens and Jews on its internet platform."
Khan convened a special meeting of Muslim ambassadors to discuss how effectively to "raise the voice of the entire Muslim world against the madness unleashed against Islam and holy personalities in the name of freedom of expression". — Pakistani Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Facebook, in cooperation with a British Muslim group, Faith Associates, recently launched a new "guide" developed especially for Muslims: "Keeping Muslims Safe Online: Tackling Hate and Bigotry".

The launch of the guide was hosted on November 29 at the British Parliament, where Karim Palant, Facebook's UK Public Policy manager, acknowledged "the partnership of Facebook with Faith Associates and said this was a first step in a line of activities being planned to protect the Facebook family". Simon Milner, Head of Policy UK at Facebook, stated:

"We're proud to be supporting Faith Associates in the development of their online safety guide. Facebook welcomes all communities, and there is no place for hate on the platform".

It is curious that of all the groups Facebook could have chosen to "protect" -- if one is to believe that Facebook intends to "protect" other groups as well -- it chose Muslims. Are Muslims the most targeted group in the world today? In Canada, according to fresh statistics, hate crimes against Muslims have fallen while hate crimes against Jews have risen. In the United States, according to Gatestone's A. Z. Mohamed:

"Since 1992... anti-Semitic incidents have been higher than those perpetrated against other groups... To this day, the greatest number of reported religion-based hate crimes have been directed at Jews, and the second greatest against Muslims... in 2015... there was a sharp rise in religion-based hate crimes, particularly against Islam and Muslims. Yet even then, Jews were 2.38 times more likely than Muslims to become victims of a hate crime."

Facebook, in cooperation with a British Muslim group, recently launched a "guide" developed especially for Muslims: "Keeping Muslims Safe Online: Tackling Hate and Bigotry". Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, wrote about making Facebook a "safe space" for Muslims. He has made no similar supportive statements in favor of Jews or Christians. Pictured: Parts of the cover of the new guide co-produced by Facebook.

In the UK, anti-Semitic hate crimes were at the highest recorded level ever in 2016 -- 1,078 offenses registered in 2016 compared to 938 in 2015. According to the Guardian, the Metropolitan Police (MET) recorded "1,260 incidents of Islamophobic hate crime in the 12 months to March 2017" in London alone. However, the MET police's definition of "Islamophobia" -- which the MET police claims is widely accepted, including by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights -- is exceedingly wide. According to the definition, as described in the 2012 report, "Hate Crimes Against London's Muslim Communities 2005-2012", Islamophobia is present when:

Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change.
Islam is seen as separate and 'other'. It does not have values in common with other cultures, is not affected by them and does not influence them.
Islam is seen as inferior to the West. It is seen as barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist.
Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, threatening, supportive of terrorism and engaged in a 'clash of civilisations'.
Islam is seen as a political ideology and is used for political or military advantage.
Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand.
Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society
Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.
Not even Orwell could have made this list up.

Even if there is no statistical basis for Facebook's new guide for Muslims, its creation should not come as a surprise. On December 10, 2015, in the wake of the San Bernardino terrorist attack, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, wrote a Facebook post about making Facebook a "safe space" for Muslims. His post did not contain a word of condemnation of the terrorist attack, or allude to any of the widespread Islamic terrorist incitement that his social media platform hosts. Zuckerberg wrote:

"I want to add my voice in support of Muslims in our community and around the world... After the Paris attacks and hate this week, I can only imagine the fear Muslims feel that they will be persecuted for the actions of others... If you're a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment for you."

The guide appears to be one of the ways in which Zuckerberg has kept his promise. The recently released guide was "...produced in partnership with Facebook to empower you, as a Muslim user on the platform, with the tools, resources and knowledge to identify and deal with harmful content and keep you and your friends safe".

What is "harmful content" according to the new Facebook guide for Muslims? "Islamophobia, anti-Muslim hatred, far right extremism and terrorist inspired violent extremist content", which "all manifest themselves online and can have a detrimental effect on confidence and mental wellbeing". The guide goes on to detail how "harmful content" should be reported to Facebook and in some cases even to the police.

The guide does not mention Islamic incitement to violence, which is rampant on social media and -- unlike the other content mentioned -- has deadly and tragic consequences in the real world, with thousands of people murdered in Islamic terrorist attacks. Most of those who perpetrate terrorist attacks in the real world are Muslims -- not "Islamophobes", anti-Muslims or right wing extremists. Nevertheless, the only -- obfuscating and vague -- reference to Islamic terrorism is at the very end of the guide:

"If you see someone sharing terrorist content and encouraging others to join extremist groups, report them and then make or share posts that show true Islamic messages of peace, mercy and tolerance".

Zuckerberg has made no similar supportive statements in favor of Jews or Christians. So far, no guides have been released on how to keep Jews or Christians safe on Facebook, despite the fact that Jews are overwhelmingly targeted by Muslim anti-Semites and jihadists. Considerably more is at stake in these cases than "a detrimental effect on confidence and mental wellbeing". Two ongoing legal cases against Facebook attest to this fact. One is Lakin v. Facebook, a lawsuit, representing 20,000 Israeli plaintiffs, which aims to stop Facebook from "allowing Palestinian terrorists to incite violent attacks against Israeli citizens and Jews on its internet platform."

Facebook is acting out of a political concern to show Muslim countries that Facebook is willing to respect Islamic blasphemy laws. In July, Vice President of Facebook Joel Kaplan promised Pakistan -- in a call with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan -- that Facebook will "remove fake accounts and explicit, hateful and provocative material that incites violence and terrorism". Khan told the VP of Facebook:

"the entire Muslim Ummah was greatly disturbed and has serious concerns over the misuse of social media platforms to propagate blasphemous content... Pakistan appreciates the understanding shown by the Facebook administration and the cooperation being extended on these issues".

Prior to the Pakistani government's talk with Facebook management in July, Khan convened a special meeting of Muslim ambassadors to discuss "blasphemous content" on social media, and how effectively to "raise the voice of the entire Muslim world against the madness unleashed against Islam and holy personalities in the name of freedom of expression". Khan also met with the secretary general of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on this issue specifically, before talking to Facebook management.

Enforcing Islamic blasphemy law is one of the OIC's main causes. How convenient for the OIC that Facebook has decided to champion it.

I heard Merkel and May are using FB to censor political opponents, using the political correctness mantra.
If you're part Celtic, you're the Jew and if you're part Finnic, you're Mongoloid (even if Japanese are Honorary Aryans). However, if you're part Latin or Hungarian and assimilated Slav, that makes you more Germanic.Or, so I've heard...I don't put much stock in those rumors.

Facebook Bans Historian For Saying ‘Islam Is Not Part of German History, but Defense Against Islam Is’

Facebook’s Vice President Joel Kaplan traveled to Pakistan last July to assure the Pakistani government that it would remove “anti-Islam” material.

That endeavor had already started before Kaplan’s trip. In mid-February, traffic to Jihad Watch from Facebook dropped suddenly by 90% and has never recovered.

We do not post any hateful or provocative material and neither incite nor approve of violence, but Facebook is acting as judge, jury and executioner in all this. There is no appeal and no recourse. Facebook is implementing Sharia blasphemy laws, and also doing everything it can to muzzle all opposition to the Left before the 2018 elections, so as to ensure that they will turn out in a way that will make it easier to destroy Trump and stop the swamp-draining.

Facebook Punishes Conservative News Site for Criticizing Mass Migration

Facebook has repeatedly punished a fast-growing news website for its conservative views on immigration and other topics–suspending its moderators, censoring content, and threatening to close the site down.
Voiceofeurope.com, which takes pride in its “uncensored news,” has been effectively bludgeoned into submission by Facebook and recently announced it will self-censor on the social media site to avoid losing its page.

According to Facebook statistics, Voiceofeurope.com was growing at the rate of about 30,000 new followers every month, with some days registering as many as 5,000 new followers.

As examples of some of the “offensive” postings that incurred the wrath of the guardians of the Facebook galaxy, Voiceofeurope.com dared exhibit a photo of Poles protesting behind a banner with “Mohammed not welcome.” Despite the fact that the photo was undoctored and the news 100 percent accurate, Facebook forced the site to remove the content and suspended one of the site’s moderators for 24 hours.

Voiceofeurope.com also posted a book review of former Czech President Václav Klaus, who compared the influx of migrants to “the barbarian invasions of Europe.” The review was highly critical of uncontrolled immigration, and for this, Facebook punished Voiceofeurope.com by removing the article, suspending a moderator for 30 days, and threatening to shut the site down permanently:

As Voiceofeurope.com noted, Russia Today (RT) posted a similar article on Facebook with no punitive repercussions, presumably because such a move would have created a media scandal.

In September 2015, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was caught on an open mike asking Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to help suppress “anti-immigration” postings on the social media site, to which Zuckerberg replied that he was already working on it.

Not long afterward, Facebook launched its “Initiative for civil courage online,” with the stated goal of removing “hate speech” from Facebook, particularly by targeting comments that “promote xenophobia.”

At the time of the launch, Facebook’s chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, explained that “hate speech has no place in our society — not even on the internet.”

As Breitbart News reported Sunday, last week, Facebook announced its decision to censor the site of YouTube phenomenon Diamond and Silk, an extraordinarily popular duet of young women who are vocal Trump supporters.

According to reports, Facebook first began limiting page notifications to reduce the reach of the site. Then, on Thursday, April 5, Facebook sent a message to the site owners, stating: “The Policy team has come to the conclusion that your content and your brand has been determined unsafe to the community.”

Diamond and Silk have been corresponding with Facebook “about their bias, censorship and discrimination against D&S brand page” since September 7, 2017, according to a post on the duo’s page.

Facebook Testing Out a “Hate Speech” Button, Inadvertently Launches It Live

Facebook accidentally set a "hate speech" button live on its platform for a short period of time, a company spokesperson confirmed in a statement Tuesday. The button asked users: "Does this contain hate speech?"

The spokesperson said the company was conducting an "internal test" in an attempt to understand "different types of speech, including speech we thought would not be hate." They said a bug caused the button to launch publicly but it has since been disabled.

Facebook Vice President Guy Rosen explained on Twitter that the button was shown on posts regardless of their content but was "reverted" within 20 minutes.

Facebook has recently come under fire for what critics say are a lack of action when it comes to curbing hate speech in developing countries. A recent report from The New York Times says violence in Sri Lanka has hit the nation particularly hard because Facebook rumors often lead to violent outcomes. The Times spoke with advocacy groups who flag alarming content to Facebook, but they say not much is being done.

The social media giant is holding its F8 Conference on Tuesday where CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he plans to share how his company is working to "keep people safe."
