I use Foxy Proxy with Tor sometimes.

FoxyProxy is fully compatible with Portable Firefox, has better support for PAC files than Firefox itself, and is translated into more than 25 languages.

    * Want fine-grained control over which websites load through proxies?
    * Live in Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan Uzbekistan, Vietnam, or one of the other nations who censor the internet?
    * Can't get to MySpace from school?
    * Can't get to GMail at work?

    then foxyproxy is for you!

Google Under Fire for Racist Search Results

Google image searches for “three black teenagers” and “three white teenagers” get very different results, raising troubling questions about how racial bias in society and the media is reflected online.

Kabir Alli, an 18-year-old graduating senior from Clover Hill High School in Midlothian, Va., posted a video clip on Twitter this week of a Google image search for “three black teenagers” which turned up an array of police mugshots. He and friends then searched for “three white teenagers,” and found groups of smiling young people.

“I had actually heard about this search from one of my friends and just wanted to see everything for myself. I didn’t think it would actually be true,” Alli told USA TODAY. “When I saw the results I was nothing short of shocked.”

“I understand it’s all just an algorithm based on most visited pages but Google should be able to have more control over something like that,” Alli said.

This is ridiculous. Do they want the most searched results or not? I'm sorry the reality of the situation isn't PC. I'm sorry we live in a world where "three black teenagers" always involves crime. At least I accept it as a fact of life.

There was something similar to this with smart phone where you asked "Google, who runs Hollywood?" and it loudly proclaimed "The jews". Google or Android got it changed.

“I understand it’s all just an algorithm based on most visited pages but Google should be able to have more control over something like that,” Alli said.
This young black kid knows it is the truth, he also knows it is easier to cover up the truth and to change the way the world perceives his people. Blacks don't like being called out for their criminal behavior. After this many years the feral negro in America just wants to continue to commit crimes and not be held accountable for them.

I'm sure Google will change it, it is owned by jews.

I remember something similar a while back where Google's image search algorithm, which finds photos that look similar to the one you're searching for, brought up an image of a gorilla to match a photo of a black person. Not gonna lie, I lol'd.

I understand it’s all just an algorithm based on most visited pages but Google should be able to have more control over something like that
Yes, let's expand the PC Police even more! Every picture of a black person should be a black person holding a Nobel Prize in one hand and a beaker of chemicals in another, with a degree from Harvard on the wall in the background. I mean, c'mon, there's tons of black people like that! Loads! Like, 6 or 7!

Actually it would be funny if Google took out all the negative photos and there were no relevant photos left to show. Either that or every photo is of Neil deGrasse Tyson

Google Play Bans Twitter Alternative Gab.ai App Over ‘Hate Speech’

Gab.ai, the social media platform that was built as an alternative to Twitter, was banned on Google’s Play Store Thursday.

The move will make it impossible for users on Android phones and other Android-powered devices to use the app. According to Google Play Support, the app has been suspended and removed from Google Play as a “policy strike because it violates the hate speech policy” with links to the policy in question.

In December, the app — which bills itself as more welcome to free speech than Twitter — was previously rejected by Apple’s App Store. Gab was told by Apple representatives that the application “includes pornographic content” posted by users — despite how Twitter also features similar user-generated content.

The move to remove Gab from the Play Store follows in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia that left one woman dead.

Gab allows users across political spectrum to post politically incorrect speech. Much like Twitter itself, the platform hosts numerous individuals tied to the alt-right.

However, many high-profile personalities in the alt-right movement, including Richard Spencer, have opted to stick to Twitter as their main social platforms despite opening accounts on Gab. Spencer’s last post on Gab was eight months ago.

“Google has pulled Gab’s Android app from the Google Play Store for ‘hate speech,’” wrote Andrew Torba, the creator of Gab. “This is war.”

What do you think this move means for free speech and politically incorrect speech as a whole? Can someone really win the war against companies like Google or Apple? Of course, nationalists and truthers can stop using Google/Apple, however what about reaching new or fence-sitter audience? Please share your thoughts.

A lot has happened in the last weeks, the great shuttering... I'm surprised there are not more debate and outage about private companies having more and power on the Internet to shut people out. Dailystormer has been removed from several hosts, while pedo and Islamic sites still receive great protection.

Someone Put Google’s Supposed Political Impartiality To The Test… Here Are The Results

If Big Tech were to have a political bias, which way do you think they would tilt? Is it to the Right or the Left?

With all the talk about Google being so impartial, one journalist did some searches, her results were pretty conclusive.

To test the premise, I performed a Google search for “Trump” using the search engine’s “News” tab and analyzed the results using Sharyl Attkisson’s media bias chart.Source: PJMedia

(Here is a copy of that chart)

If Google is as impartial as they would say it is, the ‘hits’ Google comes back with on a search for, say, news on ‘Trump’ should be more-or-less an even split between left and right leaning sources.

Is that how it shook out? What do you think Will?

    Exactly.

I expected to see some skewing of the results based on my extensive experience with Google, but I was not prepared for the blatant prioritization of left-leaning and anti-Trump media outlets. Looking at the first page of search results, I discovered that CNN was the big winner, scoring two of the first ten results. Other left-leaning sites that appeared on the first page were CBS, The Atlantic, CNBC, The New Yorker, Politico, Reuters, and USA Today (the last two outlets on this list could arguably be considered more centrist than the others).

Not a single right-leaning site appeared on the first page of search results.

But it got much, much worse when I analyzed the first 100 items that Google returned in a search for news on “Trump.”

CNN, by a wide margin, appeared most frequently, with nearly twice as many results returned as the second-place finisher, The Washington Post. Other left-leaning outlets also fared well, including NBC, CNBC, The Atlantic, and Politico. The only right-leaning sites to appear in the top 100 were The Wall Street Journal and Fox News with 3 and 2 results respectively.

PJ Media did not appear in the first 100 results, nor did National Review, The Weekly Standard, Breitbart, The Blaze, The Daily Wire, Hot Air, Townhall, Red State, or any other conservative-leaning sites except the two listed above.

Maybe you’re thinking — it’s a customized search history thing.

Nope. The experiment was tried on a number of different machines. Different logins. Different circumstances.

They’re clearly filtering out voices on the right. In an election year.

What could possibly go wrong? But RUSSIA is the ‘real’ threat to an unimpeded democratic process.

Feel free to see if, for example, Bing and Duck-Duck-Go serve you better.

96 Percent of Google Search Results for 'Trump' News Are from Liberal Media Outlets

Is Google manipulating its algorithm to prioritize left-leaning news outlets in their coverage of President Trump? It sure looks that way based on recent search results for news on the president.

Conservatives and Trump supporters have for the last several years questioned whether Google was deprioritizing conservative news sites, hiding them from users who utilize their search engine. Google has maintained that all outlets are treated fairly, but nevertheless, conservative sites have reported reduced search traffic and, in the case of Google-owned YouTube, content creators have been banned and demonetized. Google's high-profile firing of conservative James Damore, purportedly over his conservative political views, only reinforces the idea that Google is picking winners and losers.

To test the premise, I performed a Google search for "Trump" using the search engine's "News" tab and analyzed the results using Sharyl Attkisson's media bias chart.

I expected to see some skewing of the results based on my extensive experience with Google, but I was not prepared for the blatant prioritization of left-leaning and anti-Trump media outlets. But it got much, much worse when I analyzed the first 100 items that Google returned in a search for news on "Trump."

Here are the sites that appeared most frequently in the top 100 results.

As you can see, CNN has a disproportionate number of articles returned when searching for "Trump" — nearly 29 percent of the total. In fact, left-leaning sites comprised 96 percent of the total results.

I performed the search a multiple times using different computers (registered to different users) and Google returned similar results. While not scientific, the results suggest a pattern of bias against right-leaning content.

Google is secretive about its algorithm, although the company does say that a variety of factors — around 200 of them, according to Google — go into how pages are ranked. In fact, a whole science has developed — called search engine optimization (SEO) — that purports to help sites become more visible in Google search results. Factors such as the relevance of the topic, the design of the website, internal and external links, and the way articles are written and formatted all can affect a site's Google traffic. Google is constantly tweaking their algorithm, and a website's traffic prospects can rise or fall depending on the changes. PJ Media's Google search traffic, for example, dropped precipitously after a May 2017 algorithm change. We have yet to recover the lost traffic. Other conservative sites have reported similar drops in traffic.

"Can I Rank," an SEO company in San Francisco, also found an anti-conservative bias in Google search results. The company studied over 1,200 URLs that ranked highly in Google search results for politically-charged keywords like "gun control," "abortion," "TPP," and Black Lives Matter" and then assessed whether there was a political slant to the articles.

"Among our key findings were that top search results were almost 40% more likely to contain pages with a 'Left' or 'Far Left' slant than they were pages from the right," Can I Rank found. "Moreover, 16% of political keywords contained no right-leaning pages at all within the first page of results."

They sampled 2,000 results and found that searchers are 39 percent more likely to be presented with left-leaning articles.

For some keywords, the disparity was even more pronounced. Someone searching for "Republican platform," for example, would see the official text of the platform followed by seven left-leaning results that were critical of the platform.
