    Hello I am Etain

    I guess I am technically Celto-Germanic. I do hope that's alright.
Edit: I was born and still live in a rural area in the northeastern US. I've always been interested in ancient history but particularly that of the Germanic and Celtic tribes. Unfortunately there's only so much info on them out there and you have to do a bit of research on it.

Well, you obviously have a mind for detail, and that's quite a Germanic trait

    Welcome to the forum, Etain!

As long as you are at least primarily of Germanic and otherwise of European ancestry, to which your profile details would tend towards, and have a pro-Germanic outlook, you should get along just fine on here.

And if you're interested in material on Germanics, you should, for obvious reasons, find what you're looking for on here. But we also have quite some material on the Celts, with whom there's more overlap, genetically and culturally, than with any other meta-ethnicity outside our own.
"And in the shock of battle the men of the North seemed like a sea that cannot be moved. Firmly they stood, one close to another, forming as it were a bulwark of ice, and with great blows of their swords they hewed down the Arabs. Drawn up in a band around their chief, the people of the Austrasians carried all before them. Their tireless hands drove their swords down to the breasts of the foe." - The Mozarabic Chronicle of 754, about the Germanic victory at the Battle of Tours.

Cool thanks. The last thing I read on ancient Germanics was Tacitus' Germania but that's not exactly extensive.

Welcome, I think you will find many interesting topics here, and hopefully join in or add to the discussions.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

I've been participating in other anthrofora for a few years now. I knew a few people that were also on Skade(at the time) and mentioned it, so I figured why not.
