    Post Nordic Mythology

Pre-Christian European Mythology is something that interests me a lot, although I only new relatively few on it, since my interest is recent. Use this thread to share your knowledge on Nordic Mythology.

This is a link that is very useful for Religion and Mythology:
    www.pantheon.org

SORRY FOR CALLING THIS THREAD NORSE MYTHOLOGY I ALWAYS CONFUSE THE WORSE NORSE AND NORDIC, SO THAT IS WHY I WROTE NORSE INSTEAD OF NORDIC. I EXCUSE MYSELF WITH EVERYONE FOR THE ERROR.

And whatever happened to the link I brought on from Heimdall about a good book concerning this vast subject!

No no Edric had to use all his money to buy NS books like alittle boy in the candy-store for the first time:o

I'm not really sure what I could share that you don't already know, but the subject is really interesting for me too. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many good sites about it online.

I am actually waiting for my uncle to send a book on the subject from Norway, I hope he did not forget about it. That is why I did not get Heimdall's book, but I still have the details of the book saved so I'll get it someday.

    @HELLSTAR
Can you please give your opinions on the following few authors on the Norse Mythology.

    Britt Marie Nasstrom,
    Lotte Motz,
    Stein Jarving,
    Petre Turville.

    That's all for now.

Post I remember substance but im bad with sources.

I must admit I never read any of those authors? Are they Norse? that could explain why!

I can be bad remembering names, so I often look names up, if I have them right on my tongue, but these names dont ring a bell sorry, I might read alot of their work who knows, I remember the strangest things and others perish in my mental shrine.

What have these authors meant to you?

Ps: I hope Heimdall can help out, when he see this!

Post They Are Modern European Authors

The Late Lotte Motz was a German scholar of the ancient Germanic traditions.

Petre Turville was possibly a British author.

Britt Marie Nasstrom is the professor of religion in the Goteberg University, Sweden.

Stein Jarving is a practitioner of his New Age Witchcraft, he is from Norway. He draws his lineage back to the clans of the Skjolds of Denmark. He also writes on history and religion.

    I know some of them.

I hate people who study religion, they are always so stupid objective. and I once knew this bitch who studied it, I know how the studies are and what doctrines they get presented for in their education.

I hate new age everything! I hate all this witch crap stories, unless they are realistic an used symbolic, but I would however like to see his drawings someday.

In general though, I'd much rather read a book about it! My fiance's brother has a very nice book back in Germany, but I didn't get a chance to read all of it- the whole thing was in poetic form, with the words rhyming and etc.... much different from any english book about Norse gods!

Thanks for the site! I've read through it and it's proved to be very interesting!
