Extremely beautiful, I like such remote and natural mountainous places. Thanks for sharing!

Well, for those who are interested: Here´s a professional 10 minute-long video showing the nature and beauty of my home region, the Bavarian Forest (Bayerischer Wald), all four seasons are shown.

    Yosemite

I lived for 10 years in California. I have visited Yosemite many times. As you come through the tunnel entrance to Yosemite valley you view a scene that looks like the lost continent. A valley carved out of solid granite by glaciers. 1000 foot high waterfalls on both sides of the valley. Heavy forest on the valley floor. It is just stunning. I thought they were keeping this place a secret. LOL It is very popular now with tourists from all over the world and is very crowded during the summertime. Yosemite falls has a 2500 foot drop. There are 2 other large waterfalls at the back of the valley you can hike to. One is called Vernal falls. There are campgrounds on the valley floor.
Just to the south of Yosemite is Sequoia National Park. There are the largest trees that have ever lived there. Many are over 3000 years old. These parks are in the Sierra Nevada mountain range with many peaks over 14,000 feet high. It should be a destination for any European tourists. It is an experience you will never forget.

    Yosemite pics

Here are some pics I took of Yosemite when I visited there over 20 years ago.
    1. A view of the valley floor after coming through a tunnel. Another 1000' waterfall just out of sight to the left.
    2. Yosemite falls.
    3. View of the valley floor from Angel point 5000" high. The ahwawanee hotel is just to the right of the clearing. Campgrounds all over the valley floor with the Merced river flowing through the valley floor.
    4. 2 more waterfalls at the back of the valley floor you can hike back to.(Several miles hike)
