    !!!New Retro Wave!!!!

    Hey members,

I'm atm entirely addicted to a genre called 'New Retro Wave'. It's such an awesome combination.

The formula is: 80's synth pop vibe + bass + E-guitar here and there, combined with modern music techniques and computer sounds. Equals mindblast! Not as 'flat' as the synth pop of the 80's. Something was always missing. Now it's there.

Not only music tracks but entrances to a new, spiritual world. What I do is to turn my headphones to the max.

    For the starters:

Scandroid - Neo Tokyo (Dance with the Deas remix)

    Want more?

Dance with the dead - That house

Wold and the raven - On the run

Or better listen to the best albums

Dance with the Dead - B-Side

Dance with the Dead - The Shape

Dance with the Dead - Into the Abyss

Best of new retro wave 2017

    Loyal to my hate

    I too have a fancy for 80's synthwave/synthpop.
The first band is the musicians who made the "Stranger Things" soundtrack. Or perhaps you'll be in to one of my all time favorite bands, Deadsy.
All of this music is very esoteric to me. Nostalgic, even though I'm not even an 80's child. Probably on account of watching so many 80's films growing up.

    S U R V I V E - RR7349

    Deadsy - Mansion World

    Deadsy - Seagulls

I've listened to quote a lot of this kind of stuff in the past. There are two really nice groups to look for.
    LAZERHAWK
    &
    PowerGlove
The latter actually made the music for one of the Far Cry games called Blood Dragon. The entire game was a parody of this new retro wave. It was a pretty great game. Anyway here are two songs to start you off with

This one is a good song by LAZERHAWK
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1NAhlVRaZ4&app=desktop

This is the theme song for blood dragon.

It's a good genre, but it doesn't have a lot of content, so there isn't that much stuff to really go through.

Discovered this genre recently myself. Quite like the feeling to some it, although it does have a tendency to drift into the 'queer side' of things.

HOME is an artist that manages to capture a strangely up-beat melancholy in a nice way:

    HOME - Signals
    HOME - Resonance
    HOME - Head First
    HOME - Dream Head
    HOME - Scanlines

Dynatron is more within the massive, atmospheric soundscape:

Dynatron - Stars of the Night
Dynatron - Rise to the Stars
A nation is an organic thing, historically defined.
A wave of passionate energy which unites past, present and future generations

There's a lot of content. Just look for it.

These producers don't have media conglomerates and publicists to push their work, so they're not household names. That doesn't mean there "isn't much stuff".

I meant specifically new retro wave. Because there is a lot of crossover from that, vaporwave, retro pop, cyberpunk, neo-noir and dance wave. A lot of the stuff I mentioned has Asian influence so most of it is distinguishable, but like I said there is a quite a big of crossover

I've been listening to NRW for years and I'm still discovering stuff now. There ain't no shortage I'm aware of.

There's a decent online station here
    http://www.power85.com/

Chances of coming across any of it in the MSM are slim to none though, so in that respect it is almost "non-existent", but who cares about the MSM.
