    hmm interesting point. what if it could be proved that on my father's side somewhere back in time there was an adoption? should i then be considered escapist to reassume the pre-adoptive surname?

    Nah, not escapist - revisionist.
    And all my youth passed by sad-hearted,
    the joy of Spring was never mine;
    Autumn blows through me dread of parting,
    and my heart dreams and longs to die.

    Real misanthropes are not found in solitude, but in the world; since it is experience of life, and not philosophy, which produces real hatred of mankind.

    Yes, it is immoral, America is immoral and destroyed every immigrant and turned him into a soulless consumer slave, and a family name is a family name and not something at the individual's disposal. If you still don't get it it is quite obvious that you cannot relate to tradition and family values.

    I gave you the answers. You cannot comprehend them. Case closed.

    There is an unbridgeable cultural gap between us. You're American and thus unable to relate to normal people.

    Like every American you label everything you do not understand (which is quite a lot, actually) 'socialist'. It should not surprise you then that non-Americans don't like to debate with you. Some people just get older but never grow up.
