Lightbulb Pick a Favorite Poetry Line and Share with Us?

A single sentence, or two, picked from our limitless gardens of poetry...?

Share a line or two from a poem here, and please enclose link to the whole poem, we may want more

A poetry line or two that means something special to you?

I start, with two great lines from the great work Atalanta in Calydon by Swinburne, from the poem Before The Beginning Of Years, 2.Chorus, as I find it very actual in a mundane view and it may even point to useful codes for the strategical information war

My favorite poetry line is probably from the Hávamál.

    "Cattle die, kindred die,
    Every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
The glory of the great dead."

    It's a very nice quote

Its not my nr 1 favorite poem but it is a funny one.

(The original is in norwegian so i'll translate as best I can)
"I will never become drunk again and cut people with a knife.
    I think..."

Jakob Sande "After a night out"

Of the more serious ones I like the one from Havamal that Firebeard wrote but to give another:

"Death comes with a crawl, or comes with a pounce,
And whether he's slow or spry,
It isn't the fact that you're dead that counts,
But only how did you die?"

"How did you die" by Edmund Vance Cooke
