    Lego

Some Skadites does collect Lego sets?

The most Lego sets of mine are from my childhood, but not so often I use to buy a set for a model, not a toy. 4 shelf are ful with them in my room. Well, the new sets are not cheap, but the old, 20 years old, rare sets are ful worth. My favourite is from the many favourite the 6396 International Jetport from 1990. It is 27 years old! It is a very complet set, it have an airport building with traffic controll tower and landing strip. Moreover it has three vehicle: a package-car, a small helicopter and the king of the set, the jet with two side-jet turbine in the back. The set has 8 figure: a male and a female passenger, a security guard, a helicopter pilot, a traffic controller crew and two land support crew, at least a rare lego figure, a pilot. (The shots are not mine.)

I liked the LEGO but never was serious with it. My cousin however was, and he had many sets, including the airport.

When I was young I collected it. Along with my cousin and my best friend in school we all had big collections. I mainly collected medieval and ancient era lego, castles, armies and such however not restricted to packages from Lego City. My best friend collected exclusively Lego City and my cousin mainly collected action related lego such as Lego Star Wars, Mars Mission etc.

Unfortunately out of the three of us my collection was first to disappear since I was first to lose interest, the collections were taken of shelf and slowly got destroyed in my chess. A couple of years later I built interest in the WW2 lego collection and at that time dreamt of starting collecting it however it had to be bought internationally and my mom wasn't very fond of me collecting lego so I never went far with it.

Me and my brother were heavily into Lego when we were young. Not really collecting any specific sets, just building whatever we came up with on our own. It also served as an effective minefield to keep parents from entering the room. Good times.

I think it was around when I was a child, but I don't remember having any. Though I do like the idea of it as it could inspire people to build things a piece at a time and might be a good thought exercise.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

I really liked Lego when I was a kid, but it has been many years since I had some. I might have my old eletric lego train set somewhere in Norway. I'll probably buy some when I get kids. Lego technic was my favorite.

Grew up on space Lego. Loads of it.
Made a plane-Jane, robot model few years back and took it to an expo. Sat it at our Artist's Alley table and the amount of little kids who ran with arms outstretched to grab it was insane(!) All the parents manged to deflect their kids in the last split second though. I think they all have gut reactions when their kids dart toward 'anything'.

Though, I since upgraded to a 3d printer and made a fully articulated, CAD model of it instead.

Lego is one of the best toys for aiding kids to understand process maps, planning, 'frustration control', eye-hand coordination, sharing-cooperation and artistic expression. I gave up buckets of it to my nephews... And it never gets old that stuff.

This is the Juggernaut of the Tiberian Sun Firestorm! That is a good old game, just it is on PC. The 3D printer maybe so awesome!!!

I had a small set, and played with it when I was around 8 or so. It was just a generic brick set though, and this was before all the fancy space stuff came out.

Some people don't know when to stop with the Lego obsession, though...

Many people thought that model at the expo. Though I hadn't heard of it before. Or maybe I did but couldn't remember? I'm kinda dull like that.
I drew a sketch a while back, called the Iron Lion. Here's a tiny version, I can't upload the big one as we use it as posters. Secret secret.
It's got 6 main gun barrels an two heavy arm weapons, Juggernaut has 3 and no arms. Iron Lion has 2x4 array of small lasers too.

And yes, 3d printers change your life. They are addictive and compelling. Also, you need to learn CAD, but I've done that for years and years.
