I tend to associate the 90s with nasty negro music that started to be more promoted mainstream... also promoting subculture... So that's why I don't like the 90s that much... However, I have to admit there are good things about the 90s too (even though it's not my favourite music decade)...

One song I didn't want to listen back then (because I found the orange with worms from the beginning so disgusting... I was asking my father to change the channel every time this video began... this is what he told me many years later, because I didn't remember that ):

But later I listened to it while watching Sailor Moon fan made AMVs... and I liked very much both the following video and the music in it:

So now I have to admit the song is good... and I like it!

Also... I have to admit I loved both the movie Titanic and the song My heart will go on... I was singing this song myself with different occasions (for example school events, along with two other colleagues who had good voices), was one of the very first songs in English I learned the lyrics of...

(I didn't listen to it in such a long while... I'm amazed I still remember the lyrics... Actually I realize I didn't listen so much to the original, most of the time it was us singing... If I would have listened more to the original back then I would probably have felt discouraged... We were still kids... )

And... I was also singing this song (learned the lyrics by heart):

I was in love with Nick Carter!!! Most of the girls in my class (group of pupils) were in love with one of the band members... my favourite of course was Nick... the blonde one, hehe!

Spice Girls were also very popular in my school... and both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera... Looking now back at it I see how multiculturalism started to be promoted back then... But as kids how could we realize that? Back then the mainstream pop music still had something nice and pure in it... but what the mainstream music became meanwhile... I can't listen to such things or watch such videos anymore... Too much vulgarity nowadays...

To be honest, I don't even have the patience to listen to most of the things I used to listen back then until the end anymore... Back then I wasn't even in high school... everyone was listening to this kind of stuff, more of less...

    Another favourite was:

I liked Christina's voice more than Britney's (was a debate at that time: which of them was the best?)...

But I also liked this Britney's song:

I also used to like Spice Girls, as I said... Emma Bunton was my favourite!

Looking back now... seeing how mainstream music and videos were being used for brainwashing... I guess in the 90s was just the beginning of it (at least the beginning in massive amounts, such manipulation had its roots in earlier decades)... So that's why I am not so enthusiastic about the 90s... I can't believe what I'm seeing in many of the videos of the songs I used to listen to if I'm looking at them now (I'm referring mostly to other videos, not posted here)... and also back then my English was too bad to understand everything from what they were singing (unless I was learning by heart the lyrics and also translated them to my native language, which of course I didn't do with most of them... I had no idea what Spice Girls were singing in Wannabe, for example And seeing that video now it really shocks me!)...

    So... let's enjoy the 90s!

Um, I never listened a Spice Girls song until you just posted it, but I always liked Baby Spice.

    But, anyway....

You can't limit it to one song...

    Enigma - MCMXC

I don't know about your mother, but my excuse is I'm a man and I can't help myself.

I can't believe you never listened to a Spice Girls song before! Not even on radio on a bus or while shopping? This was maybe their most popular song, I'm sure you'll recognize it:

This video shocks me a little bit... Back then I only heard the song a lot of times, but didn't see the video... and didn't understand too much of the lyrics either...

I don't know what to say either... Personally I have a soft spot for natural blondes, male, female, doesn't matter... Not for all blondes though, I'm quite selective... And she's really cute, I couldn't resist her, hehehe...

I am not so much into this song from her solo career, but I like to watch the video (sorry, this is no longer from the 1990s, but from the 2000s):

I think she's very beautiful and sweet... Why not admiring her? Maybe I don't admire her in a way a man would do (I'm not a man, I don't have a man's body and mind, so I don't know how a man would feel about that), but I still admire her... and with such beautiful women sometimes I wish I was a man...
