It is evident without any foresight, it is in plain sight. Seeing how The State still (mostly) uses the law to manage things (rather than just doing things because they feel like it)... the continual use of the term "terrorist" by elected officials and media is a big problem waiting to happen. In the eyes of the law, a person or group who is officially designated as a terrorist are able to be wholly effected by the Patriot Act and NDAA and other "war on terror" laws that exist. Basically will take a citizen and make him an enemy of the state, where no Constitutional protections are afforded. And The State typically uses things generally, so you can see how a simple official designation of up to a third of a country's citizenry to become enemies of the country would be a problem.
