The conflict in Syria is part of Washington’s prime goal to impose global hegemony, President Bashar Assad told a Russian newspaper. Terrorists in Syria, he said, are being used by the US and its Gulf allies to assert control over the region, primarily to weaken Iran.

Stating that the West and especially the United States never stopped the Cold War mentality in pursuit of world dominance, even after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Assad said that global tensions, especially when it comes Syria, are escalating into World War III.

“The whole issue is about keeping the hegemony of the Americans around the world, not allowing anyone to be a partner on the political or international arena, whether Russia or even their allies in the West,” Assad said in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.

While one is yet to see a full-blown clash between the world biggest military powers, Assad stated that the struggle is partly manifested in military confrontation, as seen in Syria, while other strands of the tensions revolve around the issues of “terrorism and security,” as well as “political” outlook.

In the Syrian conflict, the US is using terrorists to achieve its own and its allies’ objectives in the wider Middle East, the main goal of which is to weaken Damascus’ regional ally – Iran. In 2011, when the Syrian conflict began, world powers were negotiating with Iran over its atomic enrichment program.

“It was the main issue around the world, and Syria has to convince Iran to go against its interests, that time. France tried, Saudi Arabia wanted us at that time to be away from Iran with no reason, just because they hate Iran,” Assad said, adding that Damascus received offers to that end after the conflict started in Syria.

“The offers [from Saudi Arabia] started after the crisis ... because they wanted to use the crisis ... 'if you do this, we're going to help you'... that if you move away from Iran and you announce that you disconnect all kinds of relations with Iran, we’re going to help you. Very simple and very straight to the point,” the Syrian leader said.

After the conflict started, the US and its regional allies used the terrorists which, according to Assad, the US created, to push through its agenda.

“The United States has always, since Afghanistan in the early eighties, until this day, they think 'terrorism is a card we can play. We can put on the table,'” the Syrian president said.

Terrorists which proliferated widely after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq, were financed and “whitewashed” by the extremist Sunni Wahhabism brand of Islam, exported by Saudi Arabia, he said.

“We all know that the majority of those terrorists belonging to Al Qaeda-affiliated groups, ISIS, al-Nusra, Ahrar al-Sham, and other organizations. They don’t belong to any political movement, they don’t care about any ideology but their own ideology, the Wahhabi Ideology,” Assad said.

It is this threat that Russia is fighting now, Assad said, praising Moscow for its fight against terrorism while demanding nothing in return.

“We trust their [Russia’s] politics, politics based on morals before interests. We trust them because we know that they wanted to support us because they wanted to get rid of the terrorists, not because they want to ask us anything in return, and they never did. Until this moment, they never asked us for anything in return.”

“Russia wanted to fight terrorism ... not only for Syria, not only for Russia, for the rest of the region, for Europe, for the rest of the world,” Assad said.

That battle now is now concentrated in Aleppo where jihadists are centered. Denying US-led criticisms that Russia and Syrian air forces are rather bombing the positions of the so-called moderate rebels, Assad emphasized that anyone who holds a weapon is a terrorist.

“Now, most of the world used the word 'opposition' about people who carry guns and kill people. You don't call them opposition; 'opposition' is a political term; it cannot be a military term,” he said.

Assad believes there are no “moderates fighting” in Aleppo, saying that all armed groups there “work with al-Nusra in the area that’s controlled by al-Nusra.”

“How can you work in the same area if you are not under the control of al-Nusra? More importantly, many of their members – there are videos and pictures of them celebrating the death of Syrian Army soldiers, they were celebrating on their bodies ... In Aleppo, you had fights, and they pictured themselves over the bodies of Syrian soldiers, the White Helmets with al-Nusra.”

But instead of presenting the horrors of Aleppo, Assad said western media is portraying terrorists as “good people who are sacrificing their lives to help the others and children.”

The only way to stop terrorism in short term is to annihilate armed militants, Assad believes, while in the long term focusing on efforts to battle the jihadist ideology.

But instead of presenting the horrors of Aleppo, Assad said western media is portraying terrorists as “good people who are sacrificing their lives to help the others and children.”

“If you talk about those fighters, ideological fighters, or terrorists, let’s say, who are fighting our army, the only way is to fight them and kill them. You don’t have any other way. They are not ready for any dialogue, and you don’t have time to make dialogue, you want to protect your citizens, so you have to kill them,” the Syrian leader said.

"Remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus,"or that virtue "was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice."

At least reading from the Russia or Syria perspective, it seems more clear. Without getting into the "who is behind the groups" thing, we can see that Syria is being attacked by these artitrary groups. They are not fighting as rebels in a quest to make their own country, or even fighting for anything to do with Syria even in their own vision. This is clear due to their attacks on the people of Syria.

We know that there seem to be many groups involved, but sometimes it is just one group and their name changes ofter. It was a Syria Liberation group, or Al-Nusra, or Al-Qeada or IS or some other name. With all of these groups (if it is so) they do not fight for the people and against the people. They seem to have a similar goal and thus are allies.

Then the US and Britain (at least, maybe France too?) decide to come help themselves in Syria. Without permission, they send small amounts of troops and planes to attack "the terrorists" there. The US goes on the TV and says it is ISIL (the President uses this term exclusively, the old term) and the media says it is ISIS (the older term) for Islamic State. We can say they are helping themselves because they are not fighting on the side of the people either and have not asked for permission of Syria to do those things.

What is interesting here is that there is barely any coverage of this permission issue. Blogs and whatever will bring up that the US just entered Syria without asking. There is no scandal in the UN of this and when Assad speaks of the entire affair, he is just putting out these blames about the origin of the groups.

We can surmise the reason why Syria did not do anything against their new invaders was because they were scared. They are within their own right to attack the countries that just decided to come in and bomb the country right? And it also becomes clear that US (at least) is not being very selective in their targets. Often attacking Syrian resources and infrastructure, and ignoring Al-Nusra and even denouncing Syria and Russia for attacking Al-Nusra positions in defense!

And we know the US wants to get rid of Assad for whatever reason it is. Surely it is not for any reason that is stated by the US or in the news.

Everything about this conflict, I can say that Syria's side makes the most sense. Except for some of the things that Assad says, or doesn't say. So because of those things, sometimes it seems like it is a game and everyone is in on it. Everyone is keeping secrets and seem to be doing things other than what they say they are. Very shady, I don't like it.

US-led coalition aircraft drop food, medicine to Daesh remnants in western Iraq: Report

The US-led coalition purportedly fighting the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group has reportedly dropped foodstuff and medical supplies to the remnants of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in Iraq’s western province of Anbar and on the border with conflict-plagued Syria.

Arabic-language al-Maalomah news agency, quoting Qusay al-Anbari, a spokesman for Iraq's Badr Organization -- a part of the Popular Mobilization Forces better known by the common word Hashd al-Sha’abi, reported on Monday that Daesh terrorists are hiding in the heart of Anbar desert area, and could only be reached by US-led military helicopters.

The report then cited locals, requesting not to be named, as saying that they have seen US-led coalition aircraft dropping food and medicine to the Daesh Takfiris.

Back on February 17, local sources, requesting anonymity, told Syria’s official news agency SANA that US-led military helicopters had landed in the Dashisha area of Syria’s eastern province of Hasakah as well as Hajin town in Dayr al-Zawr province, and transported dozens of Daesh commanders and militants to unknown locations following a deal.

The sources added that the extremists, in return, directed the US-led forces to their caches of stolen gold east of Shaddadi town.

SANA, citing information received from local residents, reported on November 13 last year that American helicopters had evacuated several Daesh terrorists from the village of al-Suwayda in Hasakah to an unknown location.

The US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes and operations against what are said to be Daesh targets inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from the Damascus government or a United Nations mandate.

The military alliance has repeatedly been accused of targeting and killing civilians. It has also been largely incapable of achieving its declared goal of destroying Daesh.

The international community accept these crimes and make sure the whole Western MSM say nothing to inform the public about what goes on.

The US literally sets the whole world ablaze!

US invested 5 billion dollars in Ukraine to overthrow the legally elected govt and replace it with an extremist, warmongering and genocide-prone puppet regime.
In public statements it would read: "...to assist Ukraine in the transition to a transparent and stable democracy".

The exact same line we hear about Venezuela right now. The legally elected government is to be overthrown and replaced with a "US friendly" puppet regime to secure cheap oil to the US.

It was something along the same lines being promoted for Libya, where now IS reigns supreme and plunged entire NA into chaos and religious extremism, it was something along those lines in Syria.

The ongoing genocide against the Yemen people is covered in roughly the same blah, next target is Iran and, if that freak Trump is retarded enough, he's going to go against China and Russia as well. In rhethorics, the war flames are already high in the sky.

I am a Syrian Living in Syria: “It Was Never a Revolution nor a Civil War. The Terrorists Are Sent by Your Government”

'Two years ago, “Majd” wrote these words on a Facebook posting:

” I am Syrian… living in Syria in the middle of everything. We have seen horrors. It was never a revolution nor a civil war. The terrorists are sent by your goverment. They are al Qaeda Jabhat al Nusra Wahhabi Salafists Talibans etc and the extremist jihadists sent by the West, the Saudis, Qatar and Turkey. Your Obama and whoever is behind him or above him are supporting al Qaeda and leading a proxy war on my country.

We thought you are against al Qaeda and now you support them.

The majority here loves Assad. He has never committed a crime against his own people… The chemical attack was staged by the terrorists helped by the USA and the UK, etc. Everyone knows that here.

American soldiers and people should not be supporting barbarian al Qaeda terrorists who are killing Christians, Muslims in my country and everyone.

Every massacre is committed by them. We were all happy in Syria: we had free school and university education available for everyone, free healthcare, no GMO, no fluoride, no chemtrails, no Rothschild IMF- controlled bank, state owned central bank which gives 11% interest, we are self-sufficient and have no foreign debt to any country or bank.

Life before the crisis was so beautiful here. Now it is hard and horrific in some regions.

I do not understand how the good and brave American people can accept to bomb my country which has never harmed them and therefore help the barbarian al Qaeda. These animals slit throats and behead for pleasure… they behead babies and rape young kids.

They are satanic. Our military helped by the millions of civilian militias are winning the battle against al Qaeda. But now the USA wants to bomb the shit out of us so that al Qaeda can get the upper hand.

Please help us American people. They are destroying the cradle of civilization. Stop your government.

Impeach that bankster puppet you have as president… support Ron Paul or Rand or anyone the like who are true American patriots. but be sure of one.thing..if they attack and I think they will….it will be hell.

Be sure that if it were to be a world war, many many will die. Syria can and will defend itself and will sink many US ships. Iran will go to war..Russia and China eventually if it escalates… and all this for what ? For the elites who created al Qaeda through the US government and use it to conduct proxy wars and destabilize countries which do not go along with their new world order agenda !!?

American people…you gotta regain control of your once admirable country. Now everyone hates you for.the.death you bring almost everywhere.

Ask the Iraqis, the Afghans, the Pakistanis, the Palestinians, the Syrians, the Macedonians, the Serbs, the Libyans, the Somalis, the Yemenis, all the ones you [your government] kill with drones everyday. Stop your wars, Enough wars. Use diplomacy, dialogue, help, not force.”
