    SpearBrave is absolutely right!

Living in a rural area, surrounded by farmland and forests, live stock and wild life, I wouldn't have it any other way. Can't wait until it gets mid fall and the temperatures are cooling down and I will be able to walk along the almost endless dirt roads, very sparingly populated. The less people around the better I like it.

Here two photos of the only horse I have left grazing on the farm and enjoying some pond water, spoiled as he can be, 28 years old with a touch of arthritis and loss of some teeth in the back. With some Cosequin every day added to a special Senior feed complimented with a scoop and a half of Alfalfa pellets he is able to move and even run without any difficulty. Although he no longer can chew harvested hay, he is able to still benefit from the fresh hay growing on the fields. To make sure he gets all the vitamins and minerals as well as calories I also give him a small portion of fortified hay. In the winter time the daily portion has to be increased.
Hoof care is performed on a regular bases every 6 - 8 weeks. With the aging process it was difficult at first to keep him at a healthy weight. But with all the recommendations from other horse owners as well as the vet he is a success story.

Deutsch Tirol, my cousin and I spent a week there. Each day a different hiking trail.
    1. Getting started
    2. Beautiful view during the hike
    3. If we were just already down there...
    4. A long way down. The small paths can be identified on the photo.
    5. This was a pretty dangerous area. The path was so steep and small, covered with small and large rocks. We were glad when we arrived in one piece at our destination at a small Almwirtschaft enjoying some cold beer and hearty local food.

    Ofen (Buda), Budapest, Ungarn

The Royal Castle of the Austrian Emperor-Kings in the mountain of Castle-mountain. Before it is the Chainbridge what is builded by Count István of Széchenyi, "The Greatest Hungarian". He had German wife by the way.

The Budai-Mountains is in the bank of the Danube. There is the Gellért-Mountain with the Austrian Citadella-Fortress. Behind is the chain of the mountains through whole Buda. Before it is the fameous Technical University of Budapest, the hardest and best university of Hungary. It has an own Nuclear Reactor!

There are the same things at night and from a different perspective.

This is the part of Buda where I live. This is Albertfalva, Új Buda or in German Sachsenfeld, Neu Ofen. This is a mixed area with nice hauses with garden, Communist-builded block-hauses and factories. Typical suburb of Budapest area. I am lucky because I live in enough high to see the Buda-Mountains.

"Remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus,"or that virtue "was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice."

I have the other half of the Alps... A beautiful view encompassing 150km of Switzerland. The Alps are about 80 km away... Photos are usually taken from the Jura (a low mountain range opposite to the Alps). Then you can see the Swiss "plateau" down below, the "Prealps" (low mountains before the Alps), and the Alps with perpetual snow in the background.

This one is a bit "postcard", yet not far from reality

Here is a winter 360° panorama:

BTW, if someone likes mountains and panoramas, there is this nice website with plenty of them:
