    If by category, they mean origin preceding England, then why would those regions not make sense? As for the percentage per region, I could see you maybe disputing the amounts of different ones.

    I mean them equating Irish with Celtic and British with Anglo-Saxon. There's more to Celtic than Irish, and British could mean Celtic or Germano-Celtic, depending on the period.

    The original article gives way too much credit to Ancestry.com. Ancestry.com genetic results are based on user surveys they sent out a few years back asking what people thought their ancestral makeup was.

    They changed their results algorithms based on this customer satisfaction effort.

    For another thing, saying a population is 36% British or Anglo-Saxon is confusing, and saying the English have Irish ancestry makes it sound like it's from Irish immigrants.

    A very poorly written synopsis.
