German Female Glider and Fighter Pilot Hanna Reitsch (ᛉ1912 – ᛣ1979)

Michael D. Hull - Warfare History Network

A diminutive blonde with bright blue eyes and a ready smile ... She was the world’s first female test pilot, the first woman to fly a glider over the Alps, the first woman to fly a helicopter, the first woman to be named a flight captain, the first woman to pilot a rocket plane and jet fighter, and the first and only woman in German history to be awarded the Iron Cross, first and second class. After setting more than 40 distance and altitude records as Germany’s leading woman glider pilot in the 1930s, she tested all types of fighters, bombers, and transports for the German Air Force, and flew the last airplane out of Berlin before Soviet forces captured the German capital in the spring of 1945 ... She was a brave and tireless aviatrix who won universal respect.

I wonder what Der Fuhrer would have made of her sexual relationship with Ghanaian president Kwame Nkrumah?.
Anglo-Saxons are forbidden the same level of racial consciousness of other groups (even amongst Whites).

While our many accomplishments are forgotten, there is no end of blaming Anglo-Saxons for the problems and inadequacies of the world (White & non-white alike).

I take it, this is in the eventuality of winning the war.

It simply wouldn't have taken place. What reason would there have been for Reitsch to leave Germany at all? She would have been a cherished pilot in her home country instead of continously being belittled despite her achievements even post-war.

Her father wouldn't have shot himself & the rest of the family either, because they never would have had to flee from Silesia. She wouldn't have had to see friends and associates including the man some conjecture to have been her lover around the time of losing the war (von Greim) commit suicide, either.

Nor would she have been barred from flying like all other German civilians in the first years after the war, or been 'hidden from history books' due to her long-lasting loyalty. It's safe to say there would have been no reason for her to go into Ghana, question her erstwhile views on race, or become potentially intimate with that Negro.
-In kalte Schatten versunken...

(Heimdalls Wacht, In kalte Schatten versunken, stanzas 4-6)

Lets get our tiny violins out for poor, poor Hanna Reitsch, because (((like all women))) she can never do anything wrong.

Even when they are caught doing something bad others are quick to defend them by deflecting blame onto someone or something else. (Sounds familiar)

She was still committed to NS, It wasn't her fault she broke one of the main tenets of it, it was those patriarchal allies who forced her into the arms of her Negro lover, by having sex with it she was honouring her father.

I'm not sure how much credence we can give to books written by German WW2 participants after the war.

For all that, I'm curious and might grab a cheap copy of the book on eBay
