    The original film stock needs to be submitted to a lab for analysis to see if it is actually from the 1940's.

    Until then the simplest explanation is that its modern CG.
    Close observation may result in feelings of horror, wonder and awe at world you find yourself inhabiting.

    If memory serves only pygmy mammoths survived until modern times (by modern, I mean long time ago, but in the historical age).

    I have no idea if this is real or not but it is clear and clearly a elephant-type animal with curved tusks, a hump on his shoulders, long, wavy hair and in the snow. It is either real or a fraud, there is no mistaken identity here.
