I've always been drawn to Norway, southern Germany/Alpine countries, even Finland to a certain extent, mainly due to my mountainous and nature oriented upbringing. But I enjoy the wild of the Western US. I suppose if I were to move anywhere else in the country the upper Appalachians and rural New England have always intrigued me.

New Zealand is on my list of must visit destinations, absolutely gorgeous.

As long as I have any type of choice, there isn't a reason for me to trade my home for anything else. We have mountains, we're very traditional and patriotic, we have low unemployment rates, and of course it's home.

For me, to feel like home it has to be a place like home. This means, there must be a measure of traditional feeling, there must be mountains and forests, there must be strong and cold winters, it should be a place with a somewhat "rural" mindset, and such things.

So assuming I HAD to pick different places it'd be a place somwhere in Bavaria (duh ), or it might be Switzerland - the same tribe, respectively a brethren tribe, both in very similar circumstances.

For anything farther afoot it'd probably be either Norway (you get mountains, forests AND oceans all at once ) or the Southern Island of New Zealand (it's not called the "Southern Alps" for no reason. ).

I'd have a hard time living where it's all flat (there's beautiful such stretches of flats and downs and the likes, but something'd be missing in the long run), or of course in places where it's all too urban.
-In kalte Schatten versunken...

(Heimdalls Wacht, In kalte Schatten versunken, stanzas 4-6)

My choice were Norway. I like the combination of sea and mountains. Sweden is too flat and srsly already too fucked up. :/ Switzerland were another choice but it's very expensive.

should be multiple choice as its hard to choose depending on the reason for moving

NZ is easy on the one hand for me...its like here but far less PC at least on the south island(hunting ,motorcycling,4x4 etc are considered normal) and like here there is almost no work....that's why there are heaps of kiwi's in Australia.

Switzerland lovely place....bugger all hunting unless your filthy rich. great mountain biking...poor off road motor vehicle activity's but plenty of other things that are great about the place.

USA.....IF the gun laws get much worse here i will probably end up over there or NZ......hmm yeah "may my future be interesting" cant be that bad can it.....

Scandinavia is also interesting.....but it sounds like unless you have enough money to get a large property way from pestering people its not going to be that good.

Germany....well i often get sentimental but i doubt i would like it out side of country areas
Tasmanian twice the heads!!.......twice the intelligence!?

I put New Zealand, because it's beautiful and green and not too densely populated, and when there's a nuclear war, it's probably the safest place to be, other than southern Chile.
Most people think as they are trained to think, and most people make a majority.

    1) A deep, beautiful valley in Austria (f.e. Defereggental) or German-Switzerland

    2) A remote, rural area in the mountains of Washington State (around Snoqualmie) or in Montana or Idaho. Both states are remote, mainly Germanic-European and have beautiful landsides with lots of mountains, forests, lakes and rivers.

    3) A ice station in Antarctica to get away from all that multicultural insanity. Let´s create a state there. Only the strong survive anyway.

UK and England in particular, but I'm interested in the whole country. I've got most of my recent family there, but elsewhere in the Commonwealth like Canada and Australia I know of specific family members who went and it is likely that New Zealand has some too.

Ireland is Germanic despite Celtic interests. I'd rather live in Ireland with Celts, than in Switzerland, Luxembourg or Belgium with Romans. I'm a Germanic Nationalist, not a Holy Roman Imperialist. I wonder if those picking the latter would like Finland, also being half-Germanic.
