    Does Historic Vedism Still Exist?

Is historic Vedism practiced anywhere? Do you think that modern Hinduism represents an unbroken transmission of that religion?

Have the Vedas been adulterated (as some reformist groups like Arya Samaj have claimed)? Do later texts including the Mahabharata, Ramayana, some Upanishads, Sutras, Puranas etc agree or disagree with the Vedas?

How do you separate extra-Indo-European influence, if any?

If you believe that modern Hinduism is not the same as historic Vedism, at what point did the break occur?

Afaik 'Hinduism' was a term created by the Brits during the period of the Raj.

The native Hindu Kush religion must come close. Search for the Kalashes.

I'm not nearly educated enough on the subject to go too in depth. But from what I understand, all of the ancient Vedic gods and goddesses have either morphed into the cult of another god, like Shiva, or have fallen out of favor completely. In many ways Shiva embodies aspects of a host of other deities his cult has subsumed or incorporated throughout the millennia. Someone on an Indian forum is probably asking "Does Germanic Paganism still exist?"
It seems like Sanatana Dharma is cacophony of different beliefs all heaped onto the strata of the subcontinents history. Trying to sort though it can be daunting.
