I have too much fun abusing liberals and neocons by picking apart their streams of ill thought out memes. I'm also pretty sure you can make plenty of duplicate accounts to satisfy the need of any snooping employers.

'Hold dear' might have been a bit of an exaggeration or perhaps a poor choice of words, but you must know that the real people in my life consists of aquantainces who do not care about the things we (nationalists, preservationalists and indeed Skadites) care about/want to preserve, friends who would betray their ancestors and folk as if they mean nothing and family that practically goes mental when i let my thoughts about foreigners/immigration/races be heard.

Therefore, your statement could be considered kind of weird, at least by a "normal" person. However, it is a well known fact remarked on many occasion by the great Agrippa that most people here are schizothymic (for the definition: see Kretschmer's work) males (the girls are mostly schizothymic, too) who hardly fit the definition "normal", which is not bad at all, quite the contrary.
Indeed, i'm not "normal" and never hope to be in this society

In other words there is not a shred of evidence for that claim. I wouldn't be surprised if government agencies can access the data, with or without Facebook's permission. They often work above the law.

Well, I speak ikke norwegian, but they have linked the Tagesspiegel's articel what is so scarry — and it is well-known (someone have mentioned the stasi). I remeber that the social media was suspicious when I red somewhere that the collection agents use it for own investigates. I have known that if they use it, then other authorities can monitore the heretic people.

Fortunately some state have banned the employers' ask (still):

I am sure that these authoriter 1984-like tendencies will lead to world of privat networks, hidden encrypted stuffs (like the TOR, but someone consider it gov. stuff) and how know it. However just a strong middle class can resistence again the elit's controll mania, the poor, moreover brainwashed poor are absolutely vulnerable.

There was a time before Facebook or other social network media, wasn´t it? So the world has worked before Facebook and would work without it.

Well, when I started using the Internet in the early 2000ies people were having so called "private homepages" and created individual content with individual layouts. People used to have email addresses, maybe a communicator like ICQ and a guestbook on their homepage. But social networks killed all creativity and created the uniform internet user with an uniform Facebook profile. The teenagers of today don´t know what a "private homepage" is. "Geocities? Where is that town?"

Anyway: I don´t care about Facebook or other social networks. I was skeptical from the starts and I never created an account due to security and privacy issues. If that makes me a suspect then so be it. And if you want to get in touch with me you need to write me an "old-fashioned" email. If that´s too "uncool" for you then it´s your problem. I can communicate with my friends and relatives without the involvement of Mark Zuckerberg´s company, he didn´t invite Internet communication.

How sad is it that now you even call an email 'old-fashioned'.

It´s not me who calls emails out-fashioned. If you don´t have a Facebook profile to communicate with others, you are sometimes treated like someone with leper. I´m one of the people who still write traditional love letters...on paper.

People don´t need to use their brains anymore. 10 years ago you had to write individual and unique guestbook entries or a lovely mail to comment new homepage updates (like uploaded vacation photos) of your online friends. Today people just click on "I like" and that´s it. How boring and stupid! "This is my dog!" -> "25 people like this"

I love to do that too. And I have a fountain-pen just for that purpose

Sorry, I meant 'one' by 'you', we use 'you' as an equivalent of 'man' for the most part in English.

But I agree 100%. I deleted my facebook account about a year ago, it's just a stupid competition to see how many 'likes' you can get on something. Used to see these a million times a day too:
Blah Blah posts: Ugh can't sleep
Blah Blah 2 posts: Like for a like
Blah Blah 3: posts: Like for confessions

I still enjoy emailing people, but I haven't written a love letter in a loooooooooooong time, need a love to write one too.

Funny that I see this thread now...lol

I actually heard on a radio program TODAY that 'experts' claim "You should avoid dating somebody who does not have a facebook account as it is suspicious."

    Strange days indeed.
