Not Celtic or Saxon - Majority of the British population descended from the Basques?

    http://mathildasanthropologyblog.wor...h-and-basques/

According to this article, the majority of the British population is descended from the Basques. I find this extremely hard to believe, although I think there may have been a genetic influence. I'd like to hear some opinions on the subject. I personally think that it impossible for a select few people whom migrated to the Isles during the Ice Age to have such a massive effect on the genes of present day Brits, and for the massive migrations of the Celtic and Saxon tribes to have contributed so little.

By Basques I assume she means Neolithic settlers? Because you do expect less metal age Indo-European influence towards the fringes, and Basques are the purest descendants of the Neolithic farmers after the Sardinians.
