What is your true nature?

Ultimately I would ask him what does he expect of me and what I should expect of him in return.

Maybe I would ask him where we are in the current cycle, how to save ourselves or at least the Lif and Lifrasir of our folk. Where/what Hodmimis Holt is in relation between the physical and metaphysical.

I also would ask him, what does he think of us and who among us are headed in the right direction philosophically speaking.

Hey, here you have been offered to ask Odin about anything, and you want to discuss the followers of the Abrahamic traditions?

I would ask him, if it was weakness (or anything else?) that he and his gods have perished with the advent of Christianity.

Whether or not the gods/goddesses "perished" because of Christianization would depend on how you view the gods. Are they universal forces who exist in the World (not just limited to naturalistic forces in our own world Midgard, but universal expressions of the totality of existence), or are they limited to the human mind, and will hence disappear if we stop believing in them consciously?
I personally believe that there exist universal principles that transcend the human nature.

Interesting in that I've been pondering that quite a bit lately, and have come up with the idea that the way Yehowa (actually closer to a proper pronunciation in hebrew) and "his people" act, and the fact that it's Yehowa that burns the earth at the end of the battle of Armageddon, that he is, in fact, Surt.

Interestingly enough, I did a pathworking and did just that.
I asked him first and foremost the same thing I've asked all of the gods and goddesses who've shown themselves willing to work with me: "Will you teach me your knowledge and give me the wisdom to use it?"

I asked a couple other things, and said a few things, and that was that.

I would ask him only for the strength to defend my people.

I would ask him to talk about his views of "our" modern society, multiculturalism etc.
And some advice from him would be great.

All these questions about strength or clarity.. I believe, he would say 'do for yourself first and foremost'. We are to model ourself on their example, in not asking the permission of other entities and be about the business of building proper homes and hearths around this Midgard.

The Gods will not do for us what we can do for ourself, just like in the mortal realm where only a poor parent enables and financially supports a grown child when they can labor for their own self.

I think that a lot of the "clarity" question stem from the fact that much of the lore has disappeared, and what is left is probably compromised to one degree or another.

The gods gave us their wisdome before, why not give it again to those who truly seek it.

Also, just because we are more scientifically advanced than our forebears, does not mean that we aren't completely wrong in some of our ideas, and I see no reason not to ask for direction in where to look for the right answers.

A good parent doesn't necessarily give the answer, but teaches the child how to look, and as a modern people, we have for the most part lost the skill in searching with our more esoteric right-brain side of things, and as a result, I think we miss a lot.
