    A strange mix of various symbols wildly thrown together, embedded in a sightly 3D movie. Truth be told, it doesn't make much sense to me. What's with Jesus in his ship?

    Some narcissistic nerds and know-it-alls thought that the more symbols they mix together the more clever the movie seems. Impressive on a visual level but preposterous on the cognitive level. I'd imagine that it makes more sense after a glass of beer or two.

    I didn't get much out of it either. Quite absurd and surrealistic, if you ask me. What about these icebergs? It's a long list...

    I'll have to agree with everyone here in regards to the pretentiousness of the symbolism. Really I just liked the animation and felt like sharing it with someone, but as to what it really means I doubt if there is some ultimate meaning, and it does seem to be a bit "try hard" when it comes to the supposed "deepness."

    I think it has the deepness you want to give it with your own "interpretation" of these symbols randomly put together. They maybe abused a little to show their technical skills as the company is quite new. Maybe after a while they will be able to make better movies with more straightforward messages.

    Heliofant is a nascent independent computer animation studio focused on creating experimental and challenging content. Bringing together artists from the fields of dance, music, computer animation and visual arts, the company is very interested in exploring the common ground that underlies many spiritual and philosophical traditions in a lyrical form.

    Looks like something put together by David Icke or Peter Jospeh of the Zeitgeist films. (both of whom have been debunked.)

    the 3d work is incredible....but the video is pretentious and assumptive.

    Speaking about animation using symbols, I found this one a few years ago. It is based on Slavic mythology but you will recognize many symbols similar to Germanic ones (e.g. the three sisters, the Zorya = the Norns, the World Tree which has to be watered = Yggdrasil, Perun = Thor, the wind God Stribog = Njord, and so on). I translated the lyrics at that time and I copy/past an English translation quickly made (sorry for the grammatical mistakes). The movie is full of symbols taken from mythology (e.g. the veil on the oldest sister = Skuld which symbolizes the unknown future, the unchained wolves preceding the end of the world before a new beginning, ...). This one is not pretentious in its meaning I think

    When the sand will rise

    Education and food the father gave to his son
    But feeding him, he started one day to dislike his son
    And disliking him, drove him away from his door:
    "Go away, my son, away from this house!
    Go and learn, my son, about faraway countries,
    About faraway countries unknown to you!"
    How at the brave youth place were three sisters,
    Three sisters, three sisters he loved;
    As the oldest sister brought him the horse,
    As the middle sister brought him the saddle,
    As the youngest sister gave him the whip;
    And giving him the whip, she was crying,
    And crying, said to her brother:
    "But when, brother, will you return to us?"
    "My sisters, my beloved sisters!
    You will go to the sea, as blue as the sky,
    You will gather sand as yellow as gold,
    You will sow it in my father's field;
    And when the sand will rise and blossom,
    This is when, sisters, I will return to you"
    Nine years passed since their brother left;
    On the tenth year his sisters went to look for him,
    The oldest sister in the sea, as a pike,
    The middle sister over the fields, as a falcon,
    The youngest sister in the sky, as a star.
    As the oldest sister about her brother did not hear any news,
    As the middle sister about her brother did hear news,
    As the youngest sister did see:
    That the brave youth was lying, dead
    On the wild steppes of Saratov.
    His horse was standing by his side,
    Stamping the damp soil with his hoofs:
    "Stand up, wake up, brave youth!
    All your sisters are looking for you!"
    All his sisters were looking for him
    Over the steppes, the steppes of Saratov;
    They headed towards him, the beloved brother:
    "Stand up, wake up, brave youth!"

    Interesting Animation

    This video went viral a couple of days ago:

    What do the skadite panel say about this? Personally, I love this well-done video and the hidden symbolism in it.

    For the ones (that included me when I first had watched it) who don`t understand everything in the video:
